Taboo: A DS Bailey novel

Rate this book
Australian psychology student, RIKKI MILLER, lies in her home after a brutal assault and rape. In her last conscious moment, Rikki calls her mother although they have been estranged for two years.

ANNA MILLER translates German trade journals for a living and sings part time in a tribute band. She lives in a house frozen in time, cluttered with objects from her past. Her emotions are similarly frozen, and her response to her estrangement from Rikki has been to hire a private detective to monitor and report on her activities.

JAMES BAILEY, JB to his friends, is a detective sergeant in the major crime squad in Perth, Western Australia. He leads the investigation into Rikki’s assault and murder along with his long-time partner GERALD PALFREY.

Taboo is the first in a police trilogy featuring DS Bailey. Fans of the Peter Temple series of crime novels may be interested in this book
