Quaint little book that was just the right length (in terms of short chapters, how they were split, and the amount of text on each page), with a good balance of illustrations and text. The impression I got was that significant thought had been put into planning the book's layout, such that it would be soothing to the reader instead of overwhelming. Which is very fitting considering the subject matter.
The tips were simple and meaningful, especially when coupled with the lovely illustrations.
Don’t compare. Whether it’s your friends, family, or people you work with, it’s easy to compare yourself to others because it’s our nature as human beings to want to know how we’re doing in comparison to everyone else.
Modern life kicks our comparison habits into overdrive, as we’re bombarded with images from adverts and social media that seem to make our lives look dull and unsatisfying.
Try to get out of the comparison trap and be happy with the life you’re living. Remember: what you see on adverts and social media doesn’t always reflect reality.
After reading almost half of this book, I just gifted it to someone and that person did enjoy and liked this book because of the graphics inside and it was easy to read for him. It did have some good points but I mostly found it quite boring to read. It felt like I was reading a magazine to think this book was hardbound and had quite a lot of pages.
As someone who is naturally very anxious there were quite a few really helpful tips and a lot of good reminders that help keep me in check. However there are many broad and more general tips in here that you may or may not already know, but still helpful nonetheless!!
