A born and raised California native, Angera is currently living and working in the Bay Area. Mom of a smart and sassy little girl and a Siamese Cat called Minnie. She spends her days running a successful law firm but in her spare time enjoys writing, reading, dancing, playing softball, spending time with family, and making friends wherever she goes. She started writing after the birth of her daughter in 2012 and hasn’t been able to turn the voices off yet. The Spin It series is inspired by the several years Angera spent married in the world of underground music and her undeniable love of dirty and gritty romance novels.

I was lucky enough to get an ARC of this book. I love so much about this book! The love and bond between two best friends, Ruby feeling lost and hopeless after filing for divorce and realizing that she can do this with a little help from a group of friends that she's just met, but knowing she's got an up hill battle in front of her. I fell in love with firecracker (I mean Ruby) she's strong, sassy and takes no shit from anyone!
Quick is a bad ass biker with a fun, loving personality.......... Sweet Jesus that man and the F-ing HOT HOT HOT Ass Sex they have Holy Shit!!!! Makes me wish I could do the Splits!!!
Quick and Ruby's story will continue....... Can't wait see how it all unfolds.

FIRECRACKER was a quick, steamy read. The story centers around Ruby (nicknamed, “Firecracker”), who is escaping to NYC to hang out with her DJ best friend for the weekend, looking to gain some self-esteem and an escape from the drama of her home life for a bit. If you like books with a hot couple, the club scene, sexy dancing, and a lot of bedroom (and bathroom!) time, FIRECRACKER is the story for you. There were things I didn’t love about the book—I’m not shy about cursing but there were a lot of f-bombs that didn’t serve the story, and I spent a lot of time worried about Ruby’s daughter—but overall this was a fun, sexy read. I’d definitely read more from this author, and look forward to Quick’s story.

I received this book yesterday late afternoon and I am already done with it (like seriously, read it in less than 24 hours). I could not put this book down. It was SOOOO good.

I was already in love with this group of people after reading the Spin it Books but this just made me fall harder and more in love with these characters. Ruby 'Firecracker' and Quick are so perfect together. I love how he builds her up and just lets her be her. The two of them together...holy WOW...and DAMN! 5 stars all the way.

This book pulled me in from the first page and didn't let me go until I finished. And seriously, how you going to leave us like that? Damn it, when does the next one come out? I need to know the rest of their story. I can't wait to see more of these characters in the Wolfmen series and in Izzys book for the Spin it series. You have meshed these two worlds so perfectly together that you wouldn't know they are from two different series.

You get better each book I read and I can't wait to dive into the next one and watch you bloom and grow even more into your talent as an author.

This is the first part of Ruby and Quicks story . Ruby is visiting her best friend Izzyn she filed for divorce from her crazy no good husband and she knew she needed to be gone when he got home. Quick and Ruby hit it off right away and the chemistry is off the charts. Its intense! Angera I need the rest of the story like right now. This story leaves you wanting, no needing to know what is gunna happen when Ruby gets back to deal with her Brody (husband). Will she get her daughter and herself back to NY to the people who really care about her. I look forward to the Wolfeman series this was great start but woman give me more!!

Holy cow -- Quick and Ruby...
So I have read this authors other books and when Ruby was the beginning character I thought I needed to re-read.. BUT.. Firecracker is sort of an in between book, it introduced Ruby and Quick's story while bringing back characters from Angera Allen's other 2 books AND gets you ready for BOTH the THIRD book in her current series(Izzy-spin It Series) and the FIRST book in a new series( Quick- The Wolfeman MC Series)
So - the book.. can we just take a minute and appreciate the cover-- GREAT RIGHT!-- Well... the words inside --- are EVEN better, so hot!, the connection between Quick and Ruby is on point!! BUT.. This book had a lot going on, Ruby has a lot going on in her world which leads to her reaching out to her long time friend Izzy. With a weekend getaway to Izzy, Ruby finds instantaneous girlfriends -- friendships she REALLY needs in her life, people she can vent to and count on while she tries to right her world! While the story line with her and Quick was top notch the storyline of the females friendships gave it a very close run.
Because this book centers on Ruby, that means her besty Izzy, which means --- some looks into Izzy and her world and where she's at since we last seen her in Ginger ( Spin It Series book 2).... This just leaves me with grabby hand waiting for her story AND QUICK ( because I NEED this book ASAP)

Holy hotness batman!!!

I want more and I want....no NEED it now.

The sex in this book are off the charts hot. The men are all cavemen ALPHA. The woman are all sassy and independent.

Quick and Firecracker are one hot couple and when we finally get the rest od their story later in the year I am not sure how Angera is gonna be able to top it.

We also get a little taste of what Izzy is gonna bring in her book and Gus is gonna have his hands FULL.

Another great book from Angera Allen. A quick filthy romp the entire book is only 4 days in Ruby's life, but they pretty much cover 4 of the most important days ever.

Ruby drives my absolutely crazy! I just want to slap a bitch after reading her. She's a woman who has allowed a man to walk all over her and treat her like shit....but that's not why I want to slap her. It's the constant feeling sorry for herself. The regular 'poor me my husbands an abusive bastard but i wanna be a tough cool biatch like my friends' attitude that makes me feel she needs a good hard shake and a foot up the ass. Until the moment she finally 'womans up' and takes down a drunken biker - then she's my kind of woman. Only to go back to being unsure of herself and needing to justify and talk herself into what she wants in life.

Now Quick -he's a man this woman can take on and then some. He's inexplicably drawn to Ruby (as all the hot men in this book seem to be.....what's with that?). He's hot, rough and totally alpha in the best kind of way. He truely seems to care for her, and he definately wants her - badly!!!!

The story is fast paces (being only 4 days) and really wonderfully peppered with hot, filthy, rough, hard, kinky sex... oh the kinky sex - I just want more!

Thanks to Angera Allen for shooting me a copy yesterday to while away the jetlag hours poolside in Dallas; she tells me there is more from this couple coming in her next hottie QUICK. Which I'm sure I'll be devouring any moment now.

Devoured it in hours!

This is the beginning of Ruby and Quick’s relationship? I sure hope so!!!

Ruby finally has had it with her no good, cheating husband and is finally serving him with divorce papers. But in order to go through with it (she knows if she is here when Derek gets them she’ll be talked out of it) she leaves her baby girl with her aunt and goes to see her BFF Izzy in New York.

What happens is one hot, spicy quick weekend full of folks from The Wolfeman MC who show Ruby (duly nicknamed Firecracker by Quick!) that she is strong enough to get her life back for her and her daughter.

The love and caring of this MC and the camaraderie of the close knit group really carries this story along.

Ruby at first is afraid to engage but all it takes is being with her Izzy to awaken her inner spirit again. Loved how she lets go on this weekend adventure away from her pending divorce.

And Quick is gorgeous, funny and hot as hell in the sheets! Wowza the connection between him and Ruby was extremely hoy sexually.

The ending is quick and it leaves a gal wanting/needing more. Can’t wait to how it all works out for Quick and his firecracker!

Alice Rose does an amazing job with all of the various characters in this audiobook. She is new to me and I will be checking her out more. Impressive acting voicing all these characters.

Angera, I haven’t sat down to read a book in years now with my audiobook obsession but I may just need to break down and read Quick’s book to see what happens.

Impressive start for the Wolfeman MC and don’t forget the Spin It series that blends with them. Kudos Angera!

Angera Allen is a new to me author, and WOW! I'll definitely be reading more of her talented & HOT HOT HOT writing style in the future. Firecracker is the story of Ruby as she finally leaves her emotionally abusive husband, who has gone too far, and as she serves him divorce papers, she heads to hang out with her bestie, Iz. It doesn't take long for her to meet Quick, with who she has some very serious chemistry with, so she decides to have him as a weekend hookup. Their sexy times lit the sheets on fire, and no pair of panties are safe while reading. Then there's the cast of secondaries, especially the amazing women, who added so much more to this story, as they brought the humor alive. Then there's some twists to hit go on the f-bombs dropping, while angst also showed up throughout, as there were times that her mood swings gave me whiplash, but I understood why she had them. I'm glad to know that they have more to their story, as it all was just left hanging, not in a calling the author names, but still, it was there leaving me dying inside a little bit, so CANNOT WAIT for more! And that's all from me because I don't want to give anything important away, and HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

📚🤓 The Book Whisperer 🤓📚

One hot, sexy read with intense alpha-males and independent woman who are filled to the brim with sassiness.

This was my first book by this particular author and before I’d even finished it I knew I was going to have to go and check out her other ones, as far as I’m aware they’re interconnected and there’s some characters you may well be familiar with. Firecracker is Ruby and Quick’s story and as far as main protagonists go they are top notch, the pair shared such intense passion and chemistry and when I say they were hot together I mean they were H.O.T and the sex scenes between them were scorching, my kindle was in serious danger of melting. This was one rollercoaster of a ride and it’s only the beginning there’s much more to come from this talented author, although I’m not much of a cliffhanger fan and the way this book ended left me frustrated and wanting more it didn’t take away from the fact that this is an amazing read.

If your looking for a strong female character that you going to love you need to read Firecracker. This is the story of Ruby. A woman who is divorcing one of the most famous band members in the world and needs the support of her friends. I loved her bestfriend too and I love that she and Quick hit it off so quickly and from the get go. I will warn you that your not going to get their full story. This book ends in a cliff and I can't wait to read the next book.

This was my first time in reading this author with the expert drawing my attention. Ruby takes you in with me being cautious at first. As I read and continue further I soon found myself drawn into her plight urging her myself.
Once you find yourself following her on her release you sigh abit but soon find she is on a adventure also with the humor just the beginning. Quick is just one of many but the main other in here that you follow closely even when she is with her bestie. Things start unwrapping with steam flowing inbetween. The excitement she gets with the story fuels the reader along.
The wish you have for Quick and her builds too with you wanting her to give all the answers now but it will be torture for the reader on what is given. Scream I did too at the end when I realize the ending that smacked me too.

What a great read. Ruby (aka firecracker) was married and had a beautiful little girl. She was married to a singer Brody. Ruby and Brody has big time problems. And Ruby wanted a divorce. Brody did not.
While Brody was out touring, Ruby decided to visit her BFF Izzy for the weekend. Turned out yo he the best weekend of her life.
She had a weekend fling with Quick which both of them wanted it to be more. She was offered a Job and everyone wanted her to relocate.
Ruby wanted to move and bring her little girl to A place that would hold much love for them, but 1st she had to deal with Brody and any lose ends at home.
An excellent read.

Ok...so Angera Allen ( Anger +A..inside joke 😉) was a new to me author and I got this book as a read for Shameless Book Con. Holy Shit...pleasantly surprised is an under statement. First off the fact that Ruby ( main h ) was in her 20s was a breath of fresh air..Im tired of reading about fresh 18 virgins. Ok This story is a preface to her next book of Ruby and Quick ( Quick) ..Ruby is a strong ass woman who has been jaded by an asshole...she meets Quick who literally rocks her world. This book hits all.the feels...and the sex is HOT!!!! I can't wait to read the next books in this series! * NUT UP BITCH

Firecracker was a great fast read for me. This was the first book I have read by Angera Allen, but won't be the last.

The chemistry between Ruby and Quick was immediate and intense. Ruby was visiting a friend after a divorce from a horrible husband and looking to discover herself and who she can be after all this change and Quick is a great place to start.

The writing was great, the intimate scenes were off the charts. I must know more though. We got an almost HEA here but it isn't enough for me.

I would recommend this book to anyone.

This story pulled me in from the start. I was hooked to the heroine and the Alpha instantly. If you like strong alphas, sassy heroines with an iron liver and know how to work a pole than this is the book for you. This was my first time reading this author and I’m so glad I took the chance.

What a page turner. This is sizzling hot. Ruby is finally leaving her husband. She is tired of sharing him with groupies and his band. Plus he mentally abusive. She leaves on a must needed vacation to visit her friend Izzy. Here she meets Quick when he comes with Gus to pick her up from the airport. Dang at first sight she is blowen away. Great beginning!

This story was a great beginning to an epic story. I was expecting some angst and maybe more drama but overall it was very good. I’m looking forward to the next book in this series.
The narration was fantastic. Alice Rose performed these characters very well. I especially loved her Irish accent.
This book doesn’t have a cliffhanger but definitely leaves you wanting more!!

This book was out of this world, omg just amazing. Loved all the characters. I love how Ruby and Quick connected so easily. I didn't like the fact that she was still married, but I got over that. (Insert whiny, tantrum-throwing voice of a 6-year-old little girl) A lot happens in this book, and while I feel like the author didn’t provide the deep elaborate detail that is required to really hit you in the feels, it is still a good read with humor and a strong but struggling to find herself again heroine that is relatable.

Loved this book! Angera's main character Ruby is quite the firecracker with her quick wit, comebacks, and heat! A story for the Mom's out there in bad marriages with younger children that shows you that you ARE worth more! Great story, an important purpose, and hot as hell!

I loved this story. A women finding who she is and the man who wants her, baggage included. A great introduction to this next series by Angera Allen. This is the first book I have read by this author, and I will definitely be back for more. Even though this is based on previous characters, I did not feel lost within the story. Can't wait to read Quick's story!!
