Too long
Good story but way too long. I enjoyed reading about Italian culture but could have done without the long descriptions of every fishing trip.

Didn’t care for the main character. It was all about him and his fishing trips.

Stephen Spielberg would make a great movie out of this book… it moved me to tears several times and had me in fits of giggles at other moments – an engaging, warm and wonderful tale of love and life
