And when Edie urges him to offer his assistance, Jack knows he must do what he can to avenge the man's loss. From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Allan Leverone comes DEATH PERCEPTION, the third in the Jack Sheridan Pulp Thriller series written in homage to the old-time paperback pulp novels from decades Sometimes, whether through money, status or influence, the most vile and evil members of society are able to evade all traditional forms of justice. When that happens, these killers, rapists, and sociopaths - men and occasionally women with no regard for even the most basic rules of civilized society - face a much deadlier The Organization, a secret band of assassins working to protect the very society that shuns them, by eliminating the most dangerous predators. Two years ago Jack Sheridan quit The Organization. Now he needs Mr. Stanton's help and Stanton set the whole thing up. A former Organization operative's son is missing. He was a policeman in Lawrence, MA. He had been brutally tortured and murdered by a drug running gang that seems to control the whole town. The corruption goes all the way up to the district judge, so going through the law isn't going to work. It doesn't matter, Sheridan has a plan.

Jack Sheridan has retired from The Organization, and thinks he is finished with the life. That changes when a father comes knocking on his door, looking for help to find his son. Jack reaches out to Mr Stanton for help, which pulls him back into the grasp of The Organization. This was such an intense read, with some crazy characters. I found myself reading far into the night to find out how everything turned out. I am already looking forward to the next book!
