(more like 3.5 star). This was a solid read, especially if you're brand new to the idea of online business management. The content was good it gave a clear picture of what the role looks like and what kind of mindset you need to have. But I’ll be honest, it felt repetitive in a few places. I kept waiting for those next-level nuggets to help me actually get started, and they never really came.
It’s not a bad book by any means, and it’s definitely helpful for laying the foundation. But if you already have some admin or VA experience, you might find yourself skimming through sections you've basically heard before. I wanted more insight on the practical side tools, onboarding, real-life scenarios not just the theory.
Still, I’d recommend it if you’re curious about stepping into OBM work and want a structured place to start. Just know it’s more of a big-picture overview than a deep dive.

A useful introduction to being an OBM, I'd suggest anyone curious about becoming one or hiring one read this. That is especially the case for people who aren't quite sure about the difference between different kinds of online support professionals, especially the blurry line between VA/OBM.
The only thing I would have like would have been a bit more detail regarding how to do things, but I guess this book is also a sales book to encourage people to get certified, so it makes sense that the book is an intro at the basic overview level.

I found this to be a practical guide with a lot of useful information on how to start your career as an Online Business Manager. I've been a virtual assistant for about four-and-a-half years now, so I'm already familiar with the online support industry, but I'm looking to make a change that will allow me to challenge myself in new ways and increase my income. Becoming an OBM is logical transition, and I found that this book helped reassure me of that while providing me with a lot of insight that I'll need when I do actually get started on that journey.

Looking to Transition from VA to OBM?
This book definitely helps you get clarity on what a Online Business Manager does and when as a Business Owner/Solo Entrepreneur needs one. If your wanting to scale from being a VA , Project Manager or Corporate Support this is definitely a great opportunity to learn more about. I am definitely looking forward to taking the OBM certification program.
