The story of a human woman who fell from a damaged space ship🚀 to land on a medieval planet🌍!
The Human commercial trading space ship that Astrid💃💋 is on vents plasma into the interior and kills💀 all on board but her. The ship🚀is in a restricted area, near an off limits undeveloped planet but Astrid💃💋 has no choice but to go by escape pod🚀 to the surface, after aiming the dying ship🚀 into the sun. She knows she will be imprisoned for violating interstellar contact law if she is ever found, so she tries to fake her death.
Unfortunately, her pod🚀 makes a crash landing in a disputed area, claimed by two different factions of medieval warriors and their 👑Kings. Her rescuers are the Alfari, tall blonde humanoid warriors who deliver her to the castle🏰 of Valemar Donal Carbrev, 👑King of Banalfar and the Lian Isles. He tells her the only way to avoid a war with the Cordairs👺, the opposing faction, is for him to marry👰 her!

Two of my most favorite genres! Sci-fi and historical romance are all rolled into one awesome book! This is a well written, interesting book with a strong female character and lots of intrigue. There is something about those Cordairs👺 that isn't kosher!

What a delightful and engaging read! This book takes the theme of time travel romance that is so popular today because of Outlander and spins the premise on its head. This is science fiction, fantasy, and time travel romance all rolled into one very well-done story. The futuristic heroine is as modern as we are and is traveling through space when she becomes marooned on a planet that is actually a Do Not Contact planet for the agency she works for. The people and culture on this planet mirror what we would call medieval on Earth. So this future woman with modern sensibilities—and with cool nanobots running around in her blood repairing her crash injuries and a communication device that can learn a new language in a few hours—is stuck on a planet with a much cruder society than she is familiar with.
The author was able to pull me right into the story with a dramatic scene of what was happening on her ship before she crash-landed. Compared to the world that she came from, this new one is so different, and she has choices that she must make right away to maintain her survival. She can be very cool and analytical at times, and she needs to be to survive both initially on the ship and on the new world. I absolutely loved both her and the hero. To add a further fantasy/mystical element, the hero believes that she is a prophesied savior, which is why he insists on marrying her when she arrives. This book was just so well done, with characters that you could relate to and root for. The heroine’s thoughts and commentary were just priceless. I really enjoyed this book.

The beginning of this book truly sucked me in, and then the pace quietly dropped off before picking back up again mid way through the book. I enjoyed the concept of the storyline and the characters were mostly fantastic. There were a few "get on with it already" and "again?" moments, but for the most part, I enjoyed it.

The heroine certainly took the saying that "it's a woman's prerogative to change her mind" almost to an extreme but it didn't detract from the story.
