More like 4.5, but I decided to round up because Shea. Read it, you'll know what I'm talking about.
It's more Arifureta. If you're reading reviews this far in you should already know what to expect. We finally get the Haltina Woods labyrinth which has some decent battles and new challenges along with yet another magic that might help with the ultimate goal of getting back to Japan.
It most CERTAINLY has more of harem elements than a lot of the other volumes and that is kind of saying something.
Once again the Bonus stories didn't really do much for me, but I'm tired of dinging the series for that. So I didn't. Who knows if they really annoy me in the future maybe I'll do it again.
Verdict: For me, volume 8 was a great one.

Ok, ok guys it's time for the actual harem. Finally Hajime is ready to embrace the idea of accepting more than one girl. But that is the only progression, there's nothing relating to the demons, the humans, or any other faction having a personality or becoming a player or threat. Nothing. Once again the story is great, but it's told from the isolated perspective of a 12 year old.

Getting better.
Another great book in this series. The author combines action scenes with comedy nicely and splendid. The characters are awesome and their development through the series have been remarkable. Not only the main characters but most of the characters introduced through the series have personality and you can see the author put a lot of effort creating them.

it was ok and I liked the plot a lot but the whole romance thing going on in this book made me want to scream, throw up and tear the book apart at some points but I managed to survive somehow. Writingstyle improved ofc and I love how Hajime changed through the book (even though still im not a fan of harems... and if it wasn't for the story I would've dropped it way sooner)

Well after two passable volumes in the series, we're back in dungeon slog and I think this one was the most boring to date. The new party members didn't even bring fun or anything interesting to the table. Only notable point was Shea finally getting a girlfriend status (and also a new "friend") but even that felt forced. Oh well, on to the next one.

the only think I didn't like was the liberators pet. the thought of seeing billions of cockroach 🪳 makes my skin crawl and I would die. amazing book loved it from start to end.

Another one down. Both book and Labyrinth. This Labyrinth makes everybody come face to face with their true feelings. Some are still fighting while others are seeing a light in the darkness. Can't wait to read the next one.
