Although my wife had already read this series and recommended it highly, I was curious whether the quality could be sustained over twelve stories. Not only is it sustained, but in reality this is one long and very well constructed novel with so many interconnections between the individual stories that some things that begin in book one are finally resolved in book twelve. I write novels, also, and I'm really impressed that Susan was able to keep a myriad of plots and people fully consistent and connected over twelve books. It's almost like she just started writing and never stopped for breath until she'd written all of them. In the last novel she even jumps ten years into the future at times to resolve certain issues.

Another very unusual feature is the fact that a couple of the "good guys" bite the dust at various times in the series, depressing for the reader and for some of the other main characters at the time, but much more realistic than where the folks in the white hats always win.

I highly recommend this series, especially if one is willing to read the entire series as one long novel. This is one where starting in the middle won't really work.

What a great way to enjoy this well-written and original cosy mystery series, all the books in one place.
Felicity's dual role as a party planner and amateur sleuth makes for very entertaining reading and it is a real pleasure to follow the way the characters and their relationships develop alongside the various murders that they get involved with.
I have previously read (and reviewed) all these books individually. I did receive an ARC of the box set, but I am voluntarily reviewing it based on my own opinions.

What fun!

I thoroughly enjoyed this entire set. All 12 stories were well written and engrossing. I love the way Ms Harper weaves her characters together and continues to open up new facets of everyone. It makes them feel like new friends. I highly recommend any and all of Susan Harper's stories.

I thoroughly enjoyed these stories.

The stories were well written. I even solved a couple tales. The characters were individual while the stories all involved one main character. I really liked that the stories continued on, while each a different mystery, the characters mostly remained the same. TA TA

I really enjoyed this entire series. I have read each one of these as they came out and was anxious for the next one. Small town mysteries with a great group of people as the main characters. They act just like family's do. I was sad to see it end.

Senoia small town mysteries by Susan Harper are well worth the reading.

I enjoy these mysteries very much, as there is always a little romance, a murder mystery and the bad guy gets got, eventually. The editing could be improved but, nevertheless, a satisfying read.

I wish I could have loved this series, but the character development is just too shallow.

I read the first three hoping for some improvement, but it didn’t happen.

The dialog is also plodding and stilted in places.

The plot lines are good, but I couldn’t get past the two-dimensional characters.

It was like reading an episode of Scooby-doo.

I'm glad I finished it. I was really getting tired of all the swooning and smirking. The rest of the story was not too bad ,the plot was ok but there was a lot of repetition through out

Great series!

Reading all twelve volumes in order was an interesting exercise. Not having to wait for each instalment, watching relationships develop without gaps, made for a flow that was truly enjoyable. The characters stay real, and become friends that you want to keep up with. I have yet to manage to reach one solution before the end of the book though! I will miss this group of sleuths!
