The final conclusion to the story of Emma Anderson and Jake Carrero. The Boss and PA who went to friends then lovers and who have been torn apart by his stupid mistake. So much in their relationship left unsaid and unremedied and neither know if they can find a way back to each other and fix mistakes made. Relationships that were flawed and need to find a better footing, and there are still problems hanging over them in the form of Marissa Hartley. Friends who are just as heartbroken and torn and mothers who do nothing but disappoint you. This is the Epic Finale to Emmas story and an emotional roller coaster of a read which promises to make you laugh, cry, gasp and maybe feel a little warm inside.

Leanne Marshall is a Scottish-born and bred romance writer with more than average life experience. She has been a torrent of wild things, including a singer in a girl band, animal rights activist, and charity owner, worked on radio, and offered jobs on TV. A passionate, restless soul who has always found peace in writing, the only way to calm that fiery spirit. She uses her wit and dark humor to her advantage in her works and has been an avid reader for most of her life. Her influences vary, but from early life and a teen stint in journalism, she applies logic to most of her plot lines, is a confessed research fiend, and likes a lot of psychology behind her character's actions. She currently resides in Central Scotland with her two children and Fiancee of 13 years, making waves in the book world with her signature 'WTF moments' she likes to apply in each story, hints of humor, and devastating emotional rollercoaster rides. Quote from L.T. Marshall - 'Writing has always been an escape for me, loving that no matter what you are doing, where you are - you can create ideal fantasy and get lost in someone else's life. I love nothing more than drawing a reader with me on a journey that tortures your every emotion before the grand exhale.'
Absolutely loved this book, Great twists and turns. Great characters, tears, heartbreak and love. A fab read and a fab end to the story of Jake and Emma x
Blurb: The final conclusion to the story of Emma Anderson and Jake Carrero. The Boss and PA who went from strangers to friends, friends to lovers, then lovers who have been torn apart by his stupid impulsive mistake. So much in their relationship left unsaid and un-remedied and neither know if they can find a way back to each other and fix what could have been the happy ever after they both need. Emma doesn't know if she can go back or trust him again and so many complications cave in on her to cloud her way. He needs to find a way to prove once and for all that she is his world, and she needs to learn to stand up to the force that is Carrero if she is ever going to be happy. Relationships that were flawed and need to find a better footing, and there are still problems hanging over them in the form of Marissa Hartley. Friends who are just as heartbroken and torn, and mothers who do nothing but disappoint you, no matter how much you try. This is the Epic Finale to Emma's story and an emotional roller coaster of a read which promises to make you laugh, cry, gasp and maybe feel a little warm inside. The answers to every question you had in this epic tale.
.well what can I say except "WOW" what and emotional rollercoaster that trilogy was! I occasionally found Emma the female lead and narrator of the story infuriating and wanting to scream at her to just get a grip on things, but then on the next page wanting to mother and hug her and tell her everything is going to be ok!
As for Jake, I just fell more in love with him at every turn, apart from the times he's being a complete arse! But still on the whole, loveable!
The trilogy has the most seamless flow between the books and as I said before an emotional rollercoaster. I found that the story, whilst gritty in some parts was fabulously and naturally written making the story one you wanted to see unfold from the 1st page right till the last.
The first two in the series were emotionally charged enough this one kicked it up a notch. I would describe it as being on a Waltzer everything churned up an chucked around, coming full circle. It took me over a week to read it because it was so draining on my emotions it was like it was happening to me. The beginning literally felt like my heart had been ripped out stomped on and shoved back in hurriedly. Emma really deserved everything she had been denying herself for so long. Jake isn't perfect nobody is but he's perfect for her. A last note I friggin love Leila, we all need a girl like her in our lives.
Book 3 is as good as the first 2. Jake and Emma still have their troubles but both of them are learning to work together as a couple. I have to say this book had me shouting at my kindle more than a few times but that's just the brilliant writing of the author as she manages to take the reader on a rollercoaster ride.
These three books were so wonderful! I'm literally sobbing of happiness in the end. I binge-read this series in three days and i totaly loved it. Emma and Jake are so cute and perfectly made for each other. This last book simply made me totaly happy.
I really love musik and while reading it made me so happy, that J & E communicated through songs, so i could hear the songs while reading and feel so close to the story.
In book 2 the Hero messed up so they start the book apart but not for long. Some events were predictable but it was a good read. Secondary couples issues also dealt with. No intimate scenes with anyone other than the Hero and heroine. No cheating. Ex drama. Hero grovelling. HEA. Heroine is a bit irritating at times.
Ooooo i enjoyed this just as much as the first two books!
I could have quite happily punched Jake in the previous book, but he’s now forgiven. I think.
I have loved every page of this, and Leanne continues to keep her readers on the edge of their seat, with no idea of what to expect, and surprised along the way.
This Author has a knack for keeping you in suspense at the same time as building an addictive and beautiful romantic story.
I love how the characters have learnt and adapted since the first book, growing as people and learning how to be together. I find this to be a much more realistic romance, with it’s misunderstandings, miscommunications and learning how to be with one another.
There are steamy and suspenseful scenes throughout, and moments where i was thoroughly tempted to throw the book at the Authors head, in the best way possible.
I don’t think I will ever look at romance the same way again!
The concluding scenes were... unexpected! Shocking. Devastating. Beautiful. Horrible. Perfect.
In short, they were Carrero. Which I am coming to think will be how I measure romance stories in future. Is it a pretty, make believe romance? Or is it Carrero?
A truly brilliant conclusion to this trilogy! I can’t wait to find out about the rest of the Carrero Family!
This author has an interesting way of telling an angsty, somewhat repetitive story and then introducing a dramatic twist at the end that is out of left field. Fortunately, this novel concludes Jake and Emma’s long-winding, will they-won’t they, calamity Joe meet calamity Jane series. Apparently this series continues with Arrick and Sophie but I’m almost too scared to engage. I don’t know if I have it in me to read another thousand and a half pages of back and forth angst.
I realize that my review may sound like I did not enjoy this series which is not at all the case at all. I didn’t “like” it, I didn’t think it needed to be as long as it was, but it was very compelling. It will consume you in an unhealthy way and you won’t be able to put it down. And so while I don’t WANT TO read Arrick and Sophie’s story, I can see that I’m probably going to because this author’s writing does suck you in.
The first two Jake and Emma novels are pretty well edited- I didn’t notice too many errors. This one has some homophone-type errors like sole vs soul and a few others like that. But overall, this is a pretty compelling read, if you like super angsty, obsessive romances.
An amazing trilogy - and Book #3 was a perfect ending for Jake and Emma! This book describes the finality of painful familial ties and the beginning of building a loving, nurturing relationship with new family. Many of the questions I still had after reading Book #1 & 2 were answered in this trilogy ending. There was anguish, the continued success of the main characters' love and trust for one another - and lots of ssssteam🔥! The strength and stability of this beautiful couple is clearly tested many times; yet it persevered; and the surprise(s) near the end of this conclusive tale proves it! The entire book drew me in and kept me up ALL night!! L. T. (Leanne) Marshall penned a stunning series, that will immediately take hold of your heart. Not once did I feel bored or disappointed while immersed in this entire series! Staying in my library for the long term, to be read again! 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟.....with 5 more for excellence!
I wanted to finish this series, but I couldn't. I added this book to my DNF list on page 125.
Jake has made some mistakes in his relationship with Emma, but holy hell, her character is absolutely pathetic. I couldn't read anymore of her.
Throughout this series, there is zero character development on her behalf. She's so immature and childish. Again, like all of my other reviews, she needs at least 100 years of therapy.
There is zero accountability from Emma for her actions and behavior throughout this series. It's equally nauseating and infuriating.
Jake actually deserves someone better than Emma.
I'm sure they get their happy ending, but I'm not going to continue reading to find out.
Another amazing read. What a fantastic end to a fantastic trilogy. Book 3 was just as amazing as the first 2 and brought everything to a well thought out conclusion. I must admit after the cliffhanger ending in book 2 I couldn’t read the first 3 chapters of this one without crying. The story and writing style draws you in and makes you feel like you are part of the story, you feel all the emotions that the characters are feeling, sadness, anger, frustration and happiness. There were also a few laugh out loud moments making this trilogy a perfect mix for any reader. I will definitely be recommending these books to my friends and family. They will not be disappointed.
There were things I liked about this book. The whole Marissa story line, I actually enjoyed because i knew the “truth” of it before it was discovered but I loved seeing it all unfold.
The ending is what made me drop a star. I was SO disappointed in that ending. She goes through this horrible event and then she just fast forwards to a year later. She goes into so much detail on every other thing in this book, to the point it gets boring, but with the huge thing that happens to her, it only gets a few pages??? That bugged me. I loved the other two books and I’ll definitely reread them, but this one was a bit of a letdown.
I loved this book. It finds Jake and Emma trying to make a go of their relationship, having sorted out their differences. Emma really comes to her own in this book znd overcomes her insecurities and Jake is even more lovable than in the previous book, although I still wanted to slap him at times!
This book is not a typical love story and is full of twists that I didnt see coming. A fantastic series from start to finish, definately one to add to your TBR list.
This was such an awesome series! I thought the first two books were great - nothing prepared me for this one!! So many emotions - from happy to sad to surprised them all over again!!! Never a dull moment with these characters. I was sad when I got to the end - like all good things I wanted more!! The writing really draws you in and makes you feel like you’re there and part of it all. Can’t wait to see if this love story continues!! Keep ‘em coming Ms. Marshall!!!
I loved this series so much. I can't tell which one of the books was my favorite as each of them just had different feel to it but they all led to this amazingly wrapped up ending. Characters were developing continuously in all three books but they came through properly in this one. Great twist at the end. I didn't want this book to finish but at least it left me all warm and fuzzy afterwards. Well done, can't wait to read more from this author.
The final part of Jake and Emma's story. It follows on directly after book 2. I kind of saw where this book was going from the beginning, and it played out as I expected. Again, I thought it was quite repetitive at bits, but I grew to enjoy the story between Jake and Emma. Emma did grow on me in the end. If you like a romance with a happy ever after this series is for you.
Really thoroughly enjoyed this series so far. I found it similar to the fifty shades all encompassing passion and rollercoaster romance but have to say I much preferred this series. Yes its quite erotic in parts but written so well that it doesn't become the essential part of the storyline. I could also relate to Emma's troubled relationship of hopelessness with her mom and the emotional effects it had. Beautiful series totally recommended.
So this whole book kind of felt like an epilogue for the most part. It felt like the happy ever after and mostly was a lot of mush and happiness and sunshine etc. Don’t get me wrong there was some tension and the book redeems it’s edge at the climax of tension and the whole scene and the scenes that follow where so expertly written that I was enthralled It was just a little too much mush for me but I guess it was all needed
Very rarely o I purchase books outside of a subscription, but I purchased the first three in this series and read them in four days. I could not put them down, which is unusual for me. I absolutely love the suspense and sweetness of the storyline. Also, the lovable possessiveness is so sweet too. I’ll probably purchase the rest in the series if my husband doesn’t say otherwise lol! I highly recommend these books though!
Loved the third book just as much as the first and second books, Emma's confidence has grown but she does still have a few demons and a couple of wobbles and Jake is always there to pick her up. Was really p*ssed at Jake at the start of this book but I had admittedly thawed toward the end. Can't wait to see what the author comes up with for the next series!
It took me some time to really start reading the first book, but I absolutely fell in love with "The Carrero Series". And, for the first time I've ever read a series - the final book was the best one.(the first three books are kind of a trilogy) I loved the writing in the end. If I write more I'm going to come with spoilers. If you like romance books, any kind, I recommend "The Carrero Series".
slcberdeaux@gmail.com This was very enjoyable. I could do without the taking of The Lord's name but no complaints. Slightly predictable and so good. I read book one and then went on a search for the series and opened an account on kindle/amazon. Cost me sixteen dollars and well worth it. Highly recommended.
A fitting end to the series this book ties up all the lose ends and gives readers the hea they want without becoming boring. Even where plot outcomes are predictable the method of getting there isn’t which keeps it interesting
Have read all three books about Jake and Emma Took me a wee while to get into the first one but got quite hooked laughed and cried with them all the way loved Jake's antics Super hot ,looking forward to Attiric and his story now
Lovely ending to a really enjoyable trilogy but I've got to say I struggled to get past the errors. It began to get very frustrating which is a real pity because, in the whole, I loved the couple and their story.
