If you’re trying to learn how to be more accurate with piecing such as with 1/4 inch seams and cutting properly, this book is for you.
There are many techniques in this book to teach you how to get your needle in the right position, how to accurately measure your seam allowance, how to press fabric to prevent shrinking and tons of quilt patterns designed for precision piecing that you can use.
The photos used to explain the approaches are very clear and the instructions are articulated clearly for beginners.
She recommends gluing fabrics together before sewing instead of pinning for more accuracy. I’ve never tried the gluing fabric method. I use pinning but it seems worth trying. I’m glad I have this book in my library. I’ll reference this book often. I will also do all the exercises to make sure I have things aligned correctly before starting my next quilt project.
