The origins of the Zero Hour virus are slowly unraveling, but with so many already dead, the survivors are running out of time to save the last vestiges of America. And, in the background, the Scarred still tracks his prey, driven by an insatiable lust for blood and revenge, threatening those who still remain.
Zero Hour is a 6-part novel-length post-apocalyptic survival thriller series that asks one simple question: do you have what it takes to survive? The story follows the unleashing of a bio-weapon on an unsuspecting American populace, killing hundreds of millions in the blink of an eye.
This post-apocalyptic thriller is written as a collaboration between Justin Bell and #1 bestselling post-apocalyptic author Mike Kraus. Zero Hour is a gripping post-apoc thrill ride that takes a unique look at the post-apocalyptic genre and will leave you breathless with every turn of the page. Filled with intense, heart-pumping action, this series will be released at a rate of approximately one book per month.
I like the series, but like many I’ve tried reading lately it has implausibility factors that are just weird. The survivors are either crazy criminals, nut jobs or soldiers who happen to all be in the same area. As you grow to learn the characters they are killed for the stupidest reasons. Where are the regular people? Anyway, I’m finishing it but it disappoints in quite a few ways.
Another good episode in the box set I have, where battles rage and the future of humankind is not clear.
It's odd that though the majority of humans in America are dead, those left continue to fight. Also, I am not sure what American genetics are because the inhabitants, apart from the natives, are a mixed bag - all with immigrant heritage.
Realistic battle scenes good vs evil story line! Description of how good men can become evil when they are poorly led. The development of the good peoples learning to fight to survive is fascinating.
This is still a good series and this book had some resolution as well as setting up the stage for the next book. I couldn't shake a bit of a feeling of marking time though.
I found book 4 to be a !little s!ow, but this book made up for that. Lots of action and character development. Some spooky stuff too. Looking forward to the last book to bring it all together.
