In this anthology, I read Claiming Chaos by Kim Bailey. I love Kim’s writing and her romance novels, but this book, it was totally different than what she normally writes. This was darker, more of a romantic suspense and I was pulled in from the very start. I loved Kira and Bodhi’s story and I can’t wait for more!

Kira and Bodhi meet in an unconventional way. It’s wild, crazy, and complete chaos. Kira is on a mission to find her sister. You find out some of her story, but there is still so much more to learn. She is strong, a warrior, and willing to do what she has to do. Then there is Bodhi. A killer with a conscious who is a cocky alpha. Gah. These two had so much chemistry!

My only complaint about this story is that it was much too short. There is so much more I need to know. I hope the next installment comes out soon! Recommend to all lovers of dark romance/romantic suspense.

I love Savage & his story.. This is not sweet romance with a sweet happy ever after,,, no this is rough , wild & gritty story. With plenty of deceit & betrayal-We can’t forget with plenty of action & suspend.. Oh & the chemistry between these two main charactor is amazing off the charts

Savage is force to do something he knows he will regret for his MC, that part he will not regret protecting his club at all cost … But if the club discovers what he’s been doing, his life is over
“What we do with traitors is put them down like the rats that they are.
This is the first book of a series, & while there is definitely more to explore, I appreciate that the author does not leave us hanging on a cliffhanger. This episode in the story is resolved, and now it’s time to move forward. I look forward to picking up the second installment, when it’s released.

In this anthology, I read Absolution by Keri Lake. Absolution is a dark and twisted contemporary romance full of passion, sin, and suspense. Father Damon Russo has done his best to serve God and the church and forget about the life he left behind. When Ivy Mercier stumbles into his confessional, his life is turned upside down. Ivy is involved with some dangerous people and she is desperate to get away. When she discovers Damon has a secret, she decides that he is the answer to all of her problems. Ivy has a light-hearted gypsy spirit and yet, she is also a master at seduction. Damon is instantly drawn to Ivy and she becomes his obsession. Together they are perfectly matched and become a force to be reckoned with.

"No amount of theology can banish what has been pumping through my veins since the day I was brought into the world."

Told in multiple POV, Absolution is an action-packed ride full of many twists and turns. The plot is complex and the characters are thoroughly explored. In true Lake fashion, the connection between the main characters is smoldering hot and each moment seamlessly blends into the next. The timeline blends fluidly which allows the reader to be immersed in the story and have a full understanding of the torment and despair both Ivy and Damon have experienced.

"Ivy is poison in my blood."

Overall, I highly recommend Absolution to anyone who enjoys an action-packed taboo read full of passion and complex characters. Keri Lake has always been one of my go-to authors and once again she has crafted an unforgettable story with the promise of more greatness to come!

Bless me, father, for I have sinned. Oh how I've sinned! I've sinned So. Freaking. Hard. And I'm not even a little sorry. Absolution was a deliciously thrilling ride that skirts the edge of propriety and was so good, it was downright sinful!

Moans muffle into the pillows, while she rolls her head and claws at the bedding as if possessed by demons. Maybe she is. Surely, God isn’t present here, while I f*ck her with the kind of reckless abandon that’ll land my soul in hell.

If you've never read anything by the immensely talented Keri Lake, then this is the story you need to start with to get a good taste of her addicting story telling. And if you're a fan of taboo romance, that you definitely need this book in your life!

Father Damon is not all that he seems. There's a dark undercurrent to this man of the cloth and a history riddled with demons that have followed him into his present. When a man steps into his confessional to describe a crime that's horrific beyond words, it sends Damon into a tailspin of repressed anger and vengeance. Then a a beautiful woman with her own dark secrets puts his faith to a true test.

Absolution is a sizzling story full of grit and a dash of darkness with a heavy layer of taboo. It was a page turner from beginning to finish. A high paced thrill ride of vengeance with a deliciously sizzling romance.

Ivy is a character that I wasn't sure I'd like at first but boy did she grow on me as the story progressed. Her reasons for getting to Damon aren't exactly altruistic. This is a woman with a hidden agenda, but one made out of utter and complete helplessness. She's desperate to get away from a demon of her own past and she'll do anything to escape him. Even make a sinner out of Damon...

With plenty of mind-blowing twists and turns that I've come to love and expect from this author, Absolution was one unputdownable read that I recommend for any fans of gritty taboo romance.

As much as I believe we’re all deserving of God’s mercy, there are those among us, wolves amongst the flock, who are, by their very nature, unrepentant predators, the kind that seek out the most innocent and vulnerable.

Father Damon was one sexy priest that could make women worship him on their knees. His dark past was intriguing and the untouchable aspect made him alluring.

Unfortunately for him, I’m not any other girl. History has proven, time and time again, that I’m an opportunist—admittedly, not always wise in my pursuits.

Ivy seemed to have trouble following her around. She made mistakes, but she learned to find a solution even though they might not be in conventional way.



I love taboo and short book so this one is a good combo for me lol! Even though the story was a little straightforward, I still enjoyed it. I like how it brought out several different emotions throughout the book.

Absolution is a story of being true to oneself. The novella is featured in Wanted: An Outlaw Anthology with 100% of the proceeds going to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Ivy Mercier leads a humble life but she managed to get involved in a situation that doesn’t have an easy ending. Tired of not having options, Ivy seizes an opportunity to finally walk away but it comes with a cost.

“Now tell me what you want, Ivy. Tell me what dirty things you want me to do. Confess your sins to me.”

Told in dual POV, the plot moves forward at a swift pace with convincing character development, especially given this is a novella. Weaving the past into the present helps to explain Damon’s evolution to priesthood and then it all explodes.

“I lay my hands on her head, as if conferring the Holy Spirit upon her, and tip my head back when she sucks me base to tip. “Yes, that’s it. Take all of it, Ivy. Every inch of what you’ve sown.”

Damon is absolutely tantalizing with his pent up sexual desires and dirty mouth. I liked his edge and the conflict between being good and bad. From the beginning, his interaction with Ivy is intriguing because she ignites a fire that he’s tried so hard to extinguish. Ivy is feisty and resilient but she is also sincere and giving. With their push and pull chemistry, they are combustible.

Absolution is a dark and taboo romance based steeped in revenge and underworld dealings. This book will appeal to those looking for a smoking hot romance with gritty action. I look forward to more of Damon Russo.

Ivy Mercier was stuck in a difficult situation and she needed a way out.  Her one big mistake is now bringing her permanent troubles and she needed to find a solution to regardless of how extreme she is willing to go to do this, she knew it was her only way. 

 

❝He doesn't look like a priest. He looks like every other sinner in the city of angels.❞

 

When Damon and Ivy met they didn't anticipated what happened next.  Each chapter was a total page turner and will have readers feeling so much so quick.  I personally enjoyed it from beginning to the end.  

 

Absolution is a dark contemporary short story written by Keri Lake which in included in this wanted: outlaw anthology.   This book is loaded with suspense, sexy steamy scenes and for a short story I found myself falling in love with all the words and the characters in the story and enjoying the secrets we encounter at the end.  Readers who enjoy dark romance will find this book appealing.

You know that feeling you get when you watch an older movie with the bad guy, the beautiful woman and they both can't get enough of each other. The setting could be like an old Bogart movie with Lauren Bacall...all smoldering and sensual...she, the victim who was in danger or done wrong...and he, the detective or criminal who was there for her, whether she wanted him to be there or not. And there was this electricity which was pulsating throughout the entire time they were on the screen...

Well, take that type of feel and apply it to today's world of ugly...Where women are taken and lost to human trafficking, where the Russia Mob has worked its way into all corners of life and where a young woman seeks to find a sister caught up in all of this...

Kara thinks she has all the tools necessary to find her sister. She has located the one man she will make give her the answers she seeks. She is armed, dangerous, and is ready to do what is necessary...What she is not prepared for is another interrupting her interrogation and ruining her mojo...

Bodhi was on a mission, nothing unusual. He had taken the contract through his twin, did his research, learned everything about his target down to when he would floss his teeth, and yank his dick. Bodhi knew you left nothing to chance. He had scoped out this target and finally, the man was going to be alone, with no family member or unintended casualties to be concerned about. The timing was now. He was in control as always.

So how come there was this black leather-clad ninja vision of beauty using her seductive tones on the target tied up and in his sagging boxers...She was coaxing him, trying to persuade him to give her vital information...Unfortunately, there wasn't time for this and Bodhi intervened...

Kara couldn't believe this and within a matter of moments, her gun was aimed at Bodhi, questioning him and telling him she needed him gone. Bodhi, being Cocky, Sexy and in Control Bodhi, threw around some banter and then things got hectic. The Russian mob appeared, shots all around were fired, the target was killed and Bodhi protected Kara's life while taking a bullet. They escaped but only for an instant.

When the dust settled, Kara was full of mixed feelings. Her only source of information to her sister was dead. The man who killed him also saved her life. She had others who depended on her and now she had to regroup. She pulled her defensive move on Bodhi and jetted out leaving this man who ruined everything yet saved her in the lurch.

These two only met for a moment but each impacted each other in ways they couldn't forget. As this story continues, they become a team of sorts that causes deeper feelings and actions that they are willing to admit. Each is a question to the other. Why are they the way they are...How can it be each is so intuned to the need of the other...and why for the love of God, can't they keep their hands off each other...

Kim Bailey gave me a modern-day Noir story with all the darkness and sensuality of the past. We had the bad guy who was trying on his own to fix the world and the woman he comes across. He cannot stop his need to protect her even when she is tough and capable. There are mutual enemies and twists coming at every juncture. Although we have an end, we look to see if Bailey will be willing to give us more...

This is part of an anthology that has a list of noted authors. All proceeds for this anthology will go to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. What better reason to enjoy all of these "Wanted Men".

“I absolve you of your sins.”

Oh, my!!!! How it is possible to write such an intricate story, to built up the anticipation, to gave life to multidimensional characters and stir strong emotions in a novella is completely beyond me. But Keri Lake did it, mastered it, another proof of her incredible talent.


I found myself captivated from the first pages by the dark and gritty atmosphere of Absolution. The mystery and chilling revelation surrounding the first confession set up the tone, there will be no sugarcoating anything in this read.

Father Damon, broody and handsome priest hides secrets and a past which ledt him scarred.

Ivy, strong and feisty heroine is eaten away by guilt and threats. She made a pact with the evil to protect her Mamie but can barely contain all the stress and disgust induced by her situation. 

Both Ivy and Damon are tormented, I found them perfectly imperfect and all the more endearing for that. I loved their dynamics, Damon's darkness and Ivy's fierceness and determination. The taboo and heavenly sinful relationship, the sexual tension between Ivy and Damon were sizzling. 
“But your penance is my pleasure. And you have much to atone for.”

As the story unfolds the reader discovers the depth of the plot. Little by little, more elements and twists increased the suspense until all the pieces of the puzzle eventually click together. 

Absolution is definitely a book that will keep you enthralled and played with my nerves all along. 
Keri Lake built a world I would eagerly read more about Ivy and Damon, dare I hope for a second book?

My review is a based on one book in this anthology: CLAIMING CHAOS by Kim Bailey.

Bodhi is a for hire killer. He tries to keep his life as uncomplicated as possible by living simply and not having attachments.

Kira is a complicated woman. Her sister is missing and left behind a little girl. Kira is on a mission to find her sister and keep her niece safe.

Their worlds get tangled and Bodhi’s mission becomes helping Kira. There are some surprising revelations as the story unfolds.

When the story ends it's not on a cliffhanger but more of a feeling that there's more to come. Readers will need to stay tuned for the next installment to continue reading this story.

CLAIMING CHAOS is the first book in a new series: Chaos & Control. This novella starts out with a great plotline that will continue in upcoming installments. Lovers of vigilantes will be onboard with this thrilling story.

Wow! What an experience. I'm not even sure how to review this because there are so many great stories from so many authors. Each one unique, each one intriguing. The best part of anthologies for me is getting to find new authors and I've definitely done that with 'Wanted: An Outlaw Anthology'.

If reading about bad boys and finding new authors is not enough to get you to buy this, then do what I did and pre-order this anthology because 100% of the proceeds from this set will be donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Absolution by Keri Lake

So what can I say Keri just works for me, her stories suck me in and don't let go till the end. Absolution is Keri's contribution to the Wanted: An Outlaw Anthology so it's definitely a lot shorter than her usual work. Damon is a priest with a tragic past and Ivy is a young woman who made a deal with the devil that changed the course of her life. The chemistry between these two was explosive and I loved every minute but I'm desperate for more especially after that ending. As with most of Keri's stories expect dark, the unexpected and this time definitely taboo.

Absolution is a dark, depraved, hot and taboo tale with a bit of actipn. I loved it especially the dual nature of Damon, he's unlike any priest I've ever met. I also loved that even though it's short there's complexity to the characters. I highly recommend to those who love dark, taboo stories.

This author, short or long story, never disappoints to introduce us to multi-dimensional characters, twisted story lines and justice, meted out in a most unconventional way. This one is definitely not for the faint of heart, full of unexpected and cringe-worthy moments, Father Damon and Ivy still have plenty of story and I'm looking forward to every single word.

Dark hearts rejoice, Luke Easton is a dream come true. Hellbent on vengeance, he's hardened himself to where only the end matters, until Makenna becomes a complication. She's strong and weak all at the same time and she's seeking her own justice. Easton is determined to make her see the truth in the lies she holds so dear. This one held me captive from the very first page.

It's a story of a very harsh life, dread has a tough childhood, which has shaped his adult life on the run. His own destiny, a horrible person is chasing him while parole is keeping him tied down
Jerome Red was cut down to simply Dread by the time I was six years old.



Michelle has a rocky life too and it's happenstance that they meet and rest, as they say, is history.
Michelle has a traumatic incident bottling her with social anxiety and panic attacks, making her a recluse and almost shut in her home. Her own have abandoned her and when Rome and her share the same building, rescue comes in a form of a surprising dark angel.



It's a stark story which makes you feel thankful of your privileged life. Very true and very introspective. Sharon writes with authenticity and honesty. I liked the story

Review of Absolution by Keri Lake

Forgive me Father, for I have sinned. I know that seems so cliché to write, but it is so fitting for this story.

If you not had the pleasure of reading anything by Keri Lake before, this small novella/short story is the perfect look into what you will get when you read her stories. Keri is one of my go-to authors for anything she writes.

In Absolution we find two people - a man who chose to become a priest when he could no longer fight the demons tearing away inside of him. But as we all know, you can never quiet your inner musings. There will come a time when you can no longer hide who you truly are. Are you absolved of your past sins when you become a man of faith?

And a woman who sold her soul to the devil. A deal she made that has haunted her from the very beginning. What happens when you can no longer fight? Can someone ever be absolved of a sin for a crime they were aware of, but had no proof and did not report?

Keri's delivers a very twisted and gut-wrenching story of two people's lives that are forever changed due to one person. It's a story that reveals two people who finally see who the other one really is once the veil of self-loathing is removed.

Oh I loved this one so much. And I have no doubt that we will be seeing more of these characters in a future book.

Good lord, have mercy. This collection of reads definitely has something for everyone...or everything for one person...whichever the case may be there is nothing better than the bad boys who are sssoooo good at the things that they do. When they are bad..they are very bad, but sometimes being bad can feel sooo good. And it does in these stories, well for the person on the receiving end of their red hot passion that will no doubt set your pages on fire and have you reaching for a fan (or cold shower). Each book is exciting, intriguing, action packed and off the charts hot. I can't even pick my favorite out of this set of book because they are each so very well written with characters that will captivate you, have you laughing, have you so angry that your kindle is at risk of being hurt, but in the end, you will have something to smile about.

Some of these authors I have not read until this book, but I will search them out for future reads. I highly recommend this book for those how love the bad boys!!

Cellar Door by Trisha Wolfe -

Revenge is a dish best served cold in the cellar... Vengeance is the core of this book. But what happens when when a man who has been meting out his own brand of vengeance against the guilty parties world collides with a woman who is out for justice. Two people who start out on opposing sides learn their quests may having something in common and learn that a fine line between vengeance and justice.

Even though this is supposed to be a short anthology size book it was a fully fleshed out story that held you captive till the very last sentence.

He tries to take his vows seriously but after listening to the confession a man who has done a heinous thing he has to fight his urges to met out his form of justice. This is how is you write a taboo book with a priest as the main character. Hope this turns into a series.

Review of Absolution by Keri Lake:

Gah!! Keri Lake did it again with this amazing new story. Absolution was everything!! Dark, disturbing, taboo, forbidden and so erotic. I could not stop reading as I was hooked on every word of Damon and Ivy's story. 

If you've read this author before you know to expect the unexpected. That is one of the reasons why she is an autoclick purchase for me. Her writing is flawless and the subject matter of her stories is unapologetically gritty and intense. Lake does not pull her punches nor does she soften the impact of her words, even when she knows what she writes may be hard to stomach. I absolutely loved this story and Ivy in particular as Absolution highlighted the resiliency of her spirit and her will to survive. To escape the wrath of the devil she knows, she tries to trap a monster in sheep's clothing to do her dirty work. But she has no idea who and what he is and the repercussions of her actions.

Gah!! I loved this book. Damon was an apex predator who reinvented himself to forget a life of pain and violence. But his connection to Ivy and their sizzling chemistry could not be denied.  While this was an amazing start to their story I am greedy enough to admit that I feel like we only received a brief glimpse of who they are and what they could mean to each other. I hope we get more of them as I would love to see Damon get his rightful vengeance. Bravo! 5 stars! ~Ratula

Review of Cellar Door by Trisha Wolfe:

When I saw that Cellar Door was included in the Wanted Anthology I could not jump on this fast enough. And good Lord was this story a twisty, suspenseful trip!! It was so powerful and absolutely incredible. In addition, it was shocking, raw and so sexy. The connection between Makenna and Eric was dark, sizzling, delicious and consuming. I could not stop reading this story!

Without giving away any spoilers, Cellar Door had the most amazing story of a girl who survived the death of a loved one to then be thrown into another heartstopping inferno at the hands of a vigilante kidnapper. Lord, I had to take breaths at times. The writing was magnificent and evoked so much emotion. I was rooting for Eric as well as Makenna and was obsessed with figuring out the secrets that tied them both together. 

I will say that the ending was one huge explosion of twists, turns and emotions and the minute I finished I made sure to bump Wolfe's books up stat. I loved this so hard and can't wait for more from this author in the future! Bravo! 5 stars! ~Ratula

[Nerdy Dirty & Flirty]

SOOOOO many stories!

I started at the beginning with this one and read Dalton by Lane Hart.

This is the first time I have read something by this author and won't be the last. Dalton is clearly not the first the book in the series but it can be read alone. You know there is more to the things that ATF agent, Peyton, has dug up but you get just enough information not to feel lost but to want to go back and get the full-scoop.

Dalton is the MC's treasurer, the money man with a pretty face. He uses those good looks and charisma to see what exactly the new ATF agent has dug up on his club. Peyton is going through a really long dry-spell and swipes right on a pretty face. Little does she know that she just opened up a whole host of problems that she never anticipated.

Neither of these two are looking to catch feelings, but a whole lot of sexiness later and well... This was a short but full story. The flow was good and the characters where engaging. I didn't feel rushed until the end but I was still left satisfied with the story.

I don't know where to begin or what to say about this book other that it was hands down the best I read to Keri Lake so far.

Wrapped up in sin and temptation Absolution is a book that would test all your hard limits and check all your forbidden boxes. The priest, the temptress and a tirnado of emotions and heat to light a fire.

Fuck!” In a brief moment of mercy, she releases me on a pop of suction. “Yes, I agree. We definitely need to fuck again.” Her laugh brings a smile to my face, and I curl my fingers into her hair and tighten my fist. “You’re making this worse.”“Bad is good, though. Isn’t it, Father?”


I always thought that it was unfair to deprive priests of one of God's best gifts to humans. Sex is good..

Well no, sex is great and nobody priest or not should suffer abstinence in the name of a religion or a belief.

I mean, it’s not fair to you. Going all those years without sex. How can the church expect that? It’s a natural thing for humans. A beautiful thing.”




I wish I didn’t need sex to feel the same level of satisfaction I did last night. I wish I didn’t crave the scent of a woman and nails digging into my flesh—basic human appetites that a man of my position has no business indulging.

I hope I can find the time to read more books of the anthology because they all look so good

HOLY FREAKING CRAP THIS BOOK WAS AMAZING! Yet again Trisha Wolfe did not disappoint with Cellar Door. This is going straight into my best reads of 2018 folder. I could not devour the pages of this story quick enough. It was just that fabulous! Once I started I just could not stop. Everything about this story kept you utterly entranced from start to finish. I loved how unique this story was. It's far from your conventional love story. It was dark, twisted, and haunting. Every page was a emotionally spun web of lies, deception, and revenge. Every chapter only took you deeper and deeper into the suspense. I have never been so captivated by a story quite like I was Cellar Door. Luke and Makenna are absolutely EXPLOSIVE together. I could not get enough of either of these characters. Both are tortured souls intertwined with their consuming need for vengeance. Surrounded by secrets will the Cellar Door heal their broken souls or only drag them deeper into the darkness?

“For just a second, I thought about what if. What if you were this beautiful angel with a broken wing sent to save me.”

Makenna is hands down one seriously bada$$ heroine y'all. She constantly kept you on your toes. She was intelligent, impulsive, and committed. Consumed with heartache, and haunted by the demons of her past Makenna was headstrong, and hell bent on revenge. But even the most sane of people go a little mad when faced with tradgedy. I loved her character was far from perfect. She was perfectly imperfect which was just what this story needed.

"Luke Easton struck my life twice. He swept in with the storms , then disappeared just as quickly."

Luke is one of those alphas you love to hate. He was the perfect contradiction between man and monster. Sane and insane. Sinner and saint. Everything about him is forbidden and dark. He haunted your mind as he possessed your soul. Every word out of his mouth left you more entranced with him than the last. I couldn't get enough of his madness. I was like a moth to a flame. Luke tugged at your heart as his secrets slowly came to light. He is definitely one of those alphas that continue to haunt you long after his story ends.

"We all have a cellar door of our own design. My door is made of bone and ash."

Will never feel like enough for this book. It deserves at least 10 or more. This is one of the most haunting love stories I have ever read. If I was going to recommend reading a book, this one would definitely make that list. It has everything you want in a suspense, yet SO MUCH MORE!

Amazing! Just absolutely amazing! You get an array of everything from hardcore MC to dark, funny, romantic, sweet, thrilling, edge of your seat, you pick it and it will be there. A superb group of authors to bring together for an anthology, I look forward to more from each of them. I even found a couple new to me authors and that always makes me happy. I refuse to choose a favorite because they were all equally amazing in their own right. Great job and thank you for allowing me to be able to read your awesomeness!

The Savage Kings MC series has quickly become a MUST READ series for me and each book pulls me further in. Dalton's story was no exception and definitely had me captivated and enraptured by this opposites attract romance. Dalton is the "pretty boy modelesque" member that handles the books and by looks would never guess is in the MC. Peyton is the ATF agent currently investigating the MC but quickly caught the eye of Dalton. When Dalton and Peyton meet it is one hot, steamy, explosive encounter that will have you fanning yourself! Prepare yourself for one helluva ride from the amazing mind of Mrs.Hart!

**Review for King's Road by D.B. West**
Kings Road is a prequel to Chase's book and really shines a light on how his and Sasha's relationship formed, as well as, how Chase and Abe's relationship came about! This was a short read but loved every moment of this story.

If you like your reads dark, dangerous and suspenseful.... this is the book for you! I was spellbound by the storyline and captivated by the characters which had me in a state of refusal.... refusal to put this book down until the very end! Now impatiently waiting for book 2!

If you’re a fan of Keri Lake’s Vigilantes series, then this follows that same vein with dark elements and a forbidden relationship. Definitely a page turner, super hot and entertaining with enough punch packed in a shorter length novel. There's also the fine line of straddling moral ethics where things aren't always so black and white and people aren't who they always appear. I was completely engrossed in this story because I knew where I wanted it to go but held my breath because I couldn't be sure if it would actually go there. And even by the end, I still wanted more of these characters and story. I love how Keri Lake spins these plots where anything can happen and surprises are lurking just around the corner and I can't help but advocate for the characters even when they are doing something so dark.

5 Darkly Sinful Stars!

I don't want to jinx it, but my 2019 has started out with a major bang in the reading department. I've had to honor of landing on three solid 5-star reads in a row. I don't think that has ever happened. Absolution, by Keri Lake, was the third, and let me tell you, I finished it almost 18 hours ago and still haven't stopped thinking about it!

"...If you forgive other people when they sin against you, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you."

Father Damon is a conflicted man with a convoluted moral code. Not that I can blame him...good God! I have read a few Priest-type forbidden romances..like, who can stay away...right?! But this one, by far, has the most grit! It's the forbidden aspects that you crave when you pick something like this up plus SO MUCH MORE!!! I hope this is the beginning of a series here because, good God, this author has struck GOLD here!!

"You even taste like sin. Imagine that."

I am not going to say much because, trust me, you want to go into this dark fun house blind!! Just know that once you start this book, it will sink its claws into you and take you for one hell of a ride. I loved it.

Let me tell you how much I loved Ivy. At first I was side eyeing her a bit...but hell nah. Girlfriend had balls of steel and I commend her for it!

"A woman doesn’t try to seduce a man without a small bit of effort, and she sure as hell doesn’t try to seduce a priest without three-inch stilettos and a sleek A-line skirt."

I am immediately going back and catching up on this author's back list because I had honestly forgotten just how gifted she is. One of the most underrated authors in this industry!

I haven't had a chance to read all the books in the set so I'm only adding a review for the books I've read so far. I'll be adding more as I finished the stories.

Devious by Angela Snyder.
Book 1 in a brand new series by the author. I didn’t think it was as dark as previous books by her but still just as sexy and gripping.
Victoria and Damon became friends when they were both children but went their separate ways after a series of tragic events. Fast forward several years later when only one thing is in Damon’s mind: vengeance.
The suspense part of the story was engaging but I thought the romance moved too fast. I might feel that way because I’m not a fan of stories where 2 people meet when they’re children/teenagers and carry a torch for a crush for so long, then they meet again and suddenly it’s love out of nowhere. It was still enjoyable though and I’ll definitely continue reading the series. 3 stars.

Dalton by Lane Hart.
This story was both hilarious and sexy right from the start <3 I’m a fan of the movie Zoolander so when the Savage Kings, the actual f*cking Savage Kings made references to the movie I was laughing so hard. I could just picture them around the table, being sexy tough and all, talking about that movie. That alone was epic! And then comes Dalton. He was all charm and fun and there was no way he wasn’t going to get away with what he wanted. I liked who he was paired with because only a strong and self-confident woman like Payton could put up with Dalton’s way of life. Even though this is part of a series I think it can still be read as a standalone. 4 stars.

King's Road by D.B. West.
It tells the story of how Chase (book 1) was first a prospect then a full member of the MC Savage King's. If you're not familiar with the series this wouldn't be a bad start. 4 stars.
