Fire threatened the ranch for the second time in days, but this wasn’t another wildfire. Two boys started it. The wind shifted and they ran for their lives. Steve drove over rough terrain to get to them, too late to save the nineteen-year-old from life-threatening burns. The boys were alone, with their father in prison and their mother in Japan. When the scared fifteen-year-old offered to work off the damage, Victor saw potential in the kid. If he kept the boy at the ranch, could they trust him not to set another fire?
I'm a grumpy old lady who lives with an even grumpier old man in a small town in Washington state. I have three grown children, all smarter and more successful than their mother, and one adorable grandson. My favorite kid!
I write mostly romantic suspense, women's fiction, and light paranormal romance novels. Although my plots get kind of involved and sometimes twisted at the end, I don't plot my books out before I start writing. I create characters, throw them into a situation, and let them lead the way. I'd like to think my characters are unique, yet familiar, people you'd like to get to know. People you can root for. People you'll remember after you finish reading the book.
I hope you enjoy reading my books. Please feel free to leave a comment or review.
If you want to stay up way past your bedtime this is the book for you.I thought her river oaks series were outstanding this new series is equally as awesome. I love how all the characters are so involved in each other's lives.and the love they have for their families.this is shaping up to be my new favorite series.I hope it goes like the river oaks books and has many more in the bever bend series.
It is super scary the length people will go to for revenge. What's worse is dragging their children into it with them. I love how this author writes authentic stories that could be ripped from headlines.
I love all the characters in this book, the story line is awesome & I highly recommend everyone who enjoys a great story to read this! Now on to the next book.
I really enjoyed this book and could hardly put it down. There is a lot going on, but is very easy to follow. I am anxiously awaiting the release of the third book.
