Stacy M Wray started out writing romance, tried her hand at suspense, then shifted into women's fiction. Her love for real-life stories with grit and emotion guides her in her storytelling, especially when it comes to women. She doesn't believe that life should fall into a single genre.

Lover of gray and white cats, craver of all that nature has to offer, believer of the voice hidden deep in the depths of her soul, and the mother of two very amusing adult children, she realizes life is a constant revolving door.

She also appreciates that it's never too late to try something new. Never.

Adored this sweet story about a second chance for love! I enjoyed every minute of Adelyn and Trey’s journey. The story alternates between the present and about 10 years in the past, providing both Adelyn and Trey’s perspectives. Both of the main characters are relatable and likeable, making it easy to connect with them early on in the story. If you are looking for a warm, cozy read with lots of “feels” about second chances, look no further.

Looking forward to Stacy Wray's next book!

Unclaimed Regrets is a wonderful second chance at love story that will take the reader on an emotional roller coaster ride.

Author Stacy M. Wray weaves a delightful tale of first love, unclaimed regrets, and second chances that follows the emotional journey of high school sweethearts Adelyn Winters and Trey Masterson.

Set in the small town of Northfield, Vermont, Adelyn and Trey's story is told in the first person narrative that alternates between the present with flashbacks to their high school past. The reader is easily drawn into Adelyn and Trey's love story that begins in their sophomore year of high school, and follows their lives up to their tenth year high school reunion. What starts out as a lovely first love / high school relationship that was filled with happiness and hopeful plan for a future together, abruptly ends without any explanation when Adelyn leaves for college. As the years progress, neither can forget the other - yet resentment, hurt, confusion, misunderstanding, and regret keeps them apart until they come face to face at their tenth year high school reunion.

Unclaimed Regrets easily captivated me from the beginning. I couldn't help but really enjoy the lovely high school relationship that Addie and Trey shared, and as their heartbreaking story unfolded with alternating flashbacks to the past intertwined with the present, I couldn't help but ache for them, and hope that they would be able to resolve the sad misunderstandings and unclaimed regrets that had kept them apart for so many years. As Addie and Trey's journey towards getting a second chance at rekindling their love unfolds, the reader will experience the full gamut of emotions, and will put a satisfied smile on their face.

What a great story of second chance love! Trey and Addie's first meeting and day was superbly sweet. Being a "plain" brunette in the midst of blonds back in high school myself, I could totally relate to Addie. And Trey's response and attention was beautiful. I loved how he spoke to her, appreciated her and reassured her.

I enjoyed the glimpses that we got to see from both Addie and Trey throughout their younger years. It helped to get to know the characters very well and to see how they thought. I got a little frustrated with their jumping to conclusions about one another. I wanted to lock them in a room and make them get everything out into the open. Their relationship was definitely a roller coaster of a ride.

I really enjoyed the ending with the way they worked everything out, very mature and selfless. This story was a first for me by this author and I look forward to reading more by her.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review from the author.

As soon as an author mentions the words ‘second chance love’ you can count me in. There is nothing like reading an angst filled story about high school sweethearts who break up and then several years later they see each other again.

Adelyn and Trey begun dating in high school. Trey has moved to their small town and is used to having plenty of girls interested in him but he is drawn to Adelyn. She doesn’t need to try to get his attention at all, she captured it the first time they met. They have a really sweet romance and Trey is a very swoon worthy boyfriend.

Something happens not long after Adelyn left for college and their relationship ends. Ten years later and Adelyn receives an invitation to their high school reunion. The past 10 years have been very unhappy ones for her and she can’t stop thinking about Trey and what he is doing now. Is he happy? Is he married?

The much anticipated reunion she had so much hope for ends up being a big disaster, the frosty reception she gets from Trey is not what she had in mind.

Theirs is a story is full of assumptions and both of them jumping to conclusions that in effect kept them apart for 10 years. They are both equally to blame for what went wrong, and continues to go wrong. Their inability to be open and honest with each other is the only thing threatening to keep them apart.

After all these years and what they have individually gone through these two really deserve to get their happy ever after. I should also mention there is also a nasty scheming person who seems to be determined to make sure this does not happen. Nothing like a book villain to keep you entertained in a story!

I really enjoyed this second chance love story.

*Book Received in Exchange for Honest Opinion/Review*

*Review Contains Spoilers*

I honestly don't know where to start this review because there was really nothing I liked about this book. This book was a huge second-chance flop. So let me tell you why exactly this book fell flat for me. Adelyn Winters can't get over her first love, Trey. Yet it was her choice to leave town, it was her choice to marry a man she wasn't truly in love with, and it was her choice to never return until her 10 year class reunion. In my mind, she was such a weak and flimsy character that I felt absolutely no connection to.

Then there is Trey who turns out to be a bitter, indecisive *ss-hole. Apparently in this fictional world no one changes in the past 10 years, everyone remains exactly the same and feels exactly the same. Amanda, a snobby girl out to steal Trey away from Adelyn in high school...10 years later she still wants Trey. So you spend a decent portion of the book annoyed and hating Amanda because her relationship with Trey is the most random thing ever. There is simply no reason for them to even talk other than "Trey is a nice guy".

So the story drags on and Trey has secrets and regrets and Adelyn has secrets and regrets like the bomb that she is married but no worries her husband is in a coma and she still loves Trey even though they haven't talked in 10 years. I just can't even. This story was just a no for me. It was just that bad, the feelings, the progression, I have never felt so disconnected from characters.

I was profoundly moved by Stacy M. Wray’s Unclaimed Regrets. Her writing is authentic, transparent, and emotional without being histrionic or “high-drama,” which is a difficult balance to achieve.

Essentially, Unclaimed Regrets tells a story that every single one of us has wondered about: what would happen if, by some circumstance, we reconnected with our earliest love, the one we lost, but whose impression upon us was so profound it shaped us into who we became as an adult.

The story is told in alternating points of view from the two lead characters, Adelyn and Trey, equally richly drawn–a notable coup for a female novelist.

Adelyn and Trey loved each other from early high school days, barely out of their childhoods, but with a love deep and more mature than their years. They envision their future together with equal commitment … and then, inexplicably … all falls asunder … and the ensuing years transpire with growing wounds and incredulity and fury … and without resolution.

And then, they meet ten years later.

We are very different people, all of us, with the passing of a decade, especially one laden with unanswered questions as to how one’s first experience of true passion could be lost.

Can Adelyn and Trey work through the rupture to find another chance at happiness, this one lasting, finally fulfilling the dreams that they had set out for themselves? Do they get their “second chance”?

You will thoroughly enjoy this tender and expressive novel by an author who holds her story assuredly in hand.

If you love second chance love stories, this would be the book for you!
Stacy did a great job of showing both Adelyn and Trey's sides of the stories from their younger years to the current.

Addie and Trey meet when Trey is transfer to her high school and she has to show him around for his first day. Trey is immediately drawn to Addie (his snowflake) from the moment he laid eyes on her. Something happens to their relationship after Addie leaves for college and it leaves them both heart broken.

10 years later, they are reunited at their high school reunion, but it's not all love and butterflies from the moment they meet again. It takes a while for Addie and Trey to communicate after the cold greeting she receives from Trey at the reunion. With both of them being stubborn and not wanting to admit they are wrong, it takes a while for them to step up to the plate.

There are some twists and turns in this book that will have you wanting to turn the page faster to see what is going to happen next. Potential husbands, kids, and secrets that tear the couple apart.

I loved this second chance story. It shows to never give up on who you truly love, communication is a key source, and don't believe a story until you get all of the details! Also, go to your high school reunion!!

Oh wow, I loved this book. Its a very original story about regrets and how they can ruin our lives even 10 years later. Adelyn is trying to forget the last 10 years, bury it but easier said than done. How do you forget the only man you ever loved, how do you move forward if you don't even know what went wrong. And then we meet Trey, what's not to love, he is just every girls dream come true and he adored Adelyn beyond anything. I loved their journey, and the bonus for me is that the author gave us both pov's and both present and past. We learn of how they came together and you cant help but fall in love with both Adelyn and Trey. Just a note to potential readers, the beginning, first 5% of the book is slow, please don't stop reading because once it gets started its brilliant.

This was a touching love story of a young high school couple who fall in love...and being so young don't communicate well. Their lack of communication cause them to lose their way and make assumptions, as lots of us do.
Stacy Wray takes an interesting twist in the traditional romance novel - she starts out with the breakup of the couple rather than the meet, fall in love, insert catalyst, breakup, then get back together. This was a welcome change and made me want to know more, therefore I couldn't put the book down.
The only criticism I can offer about Unclaimed Regrets would be that I wanted more details on the "get back together" parts, but this was a sweet love story.
Great read! I recommend it!

What can I say about this book to give it the justice it deserves? I started reading this book around 1130 in the morning and read off and on through the day finishing at 1030 in the evening. There were so many times I wanted to cry and laugh and cheer. Times I wanted to reach through the book and choke Amanda and slap Addie and Trey for letting pride step in the way of love. I hope there is a sequel to this book and can't wait to read more of Ms. Wray's books!

I really liked the book. It gives the reader what it promises. It describes vividly a sweet love story, their challenges and how they were able to overcome. All these not in a cheesy way but in a way that touches you even if you haven't gone through same experiences.

Would recommend it to other people.

Addie and Trey were high school sweethearts and everyone thought they would end up getting married and living their happily ever after. 10 years later Addie receives an invitation to her high school reunion. She avoids her hometown but she feels the need to go in order to get the closure on what happened to her and Trey. When seeing Trey at the reunion, he gives her the cold shoulder and not only is she shocked and hurt by his reaction, but she is also angry as to why he is treating her this way. At this point she doesn’t care anymore about trying to figure out what went wrong with their relationship. After committing herself to a project for the new library, all she wants to do is finish it and go back home.

Trey wants nothing to do with Adelyn, but his head and heart are telling him two different things. He still feels that pull towards her, but he fights it because he knows he can never go down that road with her again. When they keep running into each other in town, he knows he can no longer avoid her and feels they should finally talk. Now all he has to do is convince her to meet up with him.

Even though the characters were so in love with each other, there was a lot of miscommunication and misunderstandings. I was frustrated with Trey for always jumping to conclusions without finding out the truth. And I was beyond frustrated as to why he would have Amanda in his life, who was horrible to Addie in high school and did whatever she could to try to break them up. She clearly still wants Trey and he kept putting himself in awkward positions with Amanda where lines could have easily been crossed. He didn’t really give any room for discussion and it seems that Addie was expected to just accept things, even if it made her uncomfortable. Overall, I thought this book was good and I’m looking forward to the author’s next book!

I have mixed feelings about this one. It was an enjoyable story and I liked the characters and the overall storyline. However, I found the plot to be predictable and reminiscent of many other NA novels that I have read. I thought that the narrative dragged in some places and I wasn't crazy about the final twist. It felt unnecessary and prolonged the end of the story. Nevertheless, if you are looking for a romance and enjoy stories about second chances or "will they, won't they" stories then I would suggest giving this one a chance. It wasn't my favorite, but I still liked it.

While I was out of town I can across this Author whom I had not read before so I bought a paperback of it then Booksprout had it up as an ARC copy, so I am doing a review as the BookSprout copy. I am very glad I bought this book and one other by this Author as once I started reading I was not putting it down. This is a second chance for Adelyn Winters and Trey Masterson from both their points of view, a well-written book that I enjoyed reading. This was a very emotional journey. The storyline spans years with the reader learning about the characters from their teenage relationship through their tenth year reunion. I loved that she wouldn't stop trying to find out why. That is always a question asked whenever a relationship ends. The one left behind or who leaves because of the breakup always asks why. This author gave the characters strength to ask the question and survive the answer. Such a well written story. I loved it.

What a wonderful book! Just listened to the audio version and it was the perfect escape. I loved the Vermont setting which took me back to my childhood summers spent there. I really enjoyed Addy and Trey’s story, and the supporting characters as well. I wonder if the author plans to do a sequel and tell Luke’s story some day?

With Unclaimed Regrets be prepared for a whirlwind of emotions. This book was loaded with drama, angst, romance and plenty of regrets. Enjoyable characters and an engaging plot drew me in from the start. This story is a perfect example of why it's so very important to communicate. There were several times I wanted to shake both the hero and heroine!!

This is the first book I have read by this author and it certainly will not be the last.

Review originally posted at Ramblings From This Chick

Unclaimed Regrets is my first book by Stacy M. Wray. The blurb of this one instantly drew me in, and I had to read this second chance love story! There was a lot to like here, and I did enjoy most of this story. However there were a few things that I had some problems with, and that kept me from really being able to love this book. I will look for more from Wray in the future though.

Adelyn Winters loves her job and all that she has accomplished, yet she is still just going through the motions. She has a great family and best friend, and yet she has never been able to forget the guy she fell in love with years before. When she gets an invite to her reunion, she knows that she needs to go back to get closure one and for all. But when she comes face to face with Trey Masterson, all those feelings come right back. Trey and Addie thought that they would be together forever, but neither one of them really know what happened to cause it all to go wrong. But with all the obstacles from their past as well as their present threatening their relationship, will they be able to rekindle what they once had? Or will there be too many things standing in their way?

I liked both Addie and Trey. They had a great connection when they first met, and it felt so natural to me. With each new piece of their past that was revealed, I fell right along with them. That hadn't changed even with all that they had been through. I did think that these two had a serious lack of communication, and I wanted to shake them both several times for not talking to one another. When they were together they were great, but I wish that it wouldn't have taken so much to get there. These two were sweet and sexy together, and I really liked them for one another. I did think that Trey had a tendency to be a real jerk at times though, and that was really hard to get over for me. He seemed to have absolutely no patience or understanding for all that Addie had been though, especially when it came to Amanda. The worst part was that I didn't even understand how he could be friends with Amanda. After everything that she had done to Addie, it wasn't ever justifiable to me that he would be friends with her especially since he knew her true motives.

I think that if these two had talked more and sorted out their issues this book would have been a lot easier to really get into. The back and forth got to be a bit too much though, and I thought that these two had plenty of opportunities that they could have worked things out much sooner. The Amanda thing just felt drawn out though, and I wish that hadn't kept going for as long as it did. It seemed far too often that she got in the way of Trey and Addie finding happiness together, and I couldn't get over how easily she was able to repeatedly do it. I did like that we got to see Addie and Trey's past and their present though, and that we got both of their POVs. I think it added a lot to the story, and it allowed the reader to get to know these characters really well. Overall, I think that this one had a lot of promise and I did enjoy it. I loved these two together, but the issues I mentioned this one was good when it could have been great.

After reading the blurb for Unclaimed Regrets I knew this was one book I had to sign up to read it. The blurb itself had me on the edge of my seat I truly love a second chance romance story and I love books that are told in two POV. I ended up waking up in the middle of the night one night unable to fall back to sleep so I decided to start reading this book as it was finally on my kindle. Well goodbye any sleep for the rest of the night because I devoured this book. I found myself at the playground the next day with my child reading the book from my phone because I could not put it down. I’m not lying you have got to go and get this book and read it.

So Unclaimed Regrets is told though Trey’s and Adelyn’s points of view and it switches from their time in high school together to present day. I LOVED how the author did the transition from flashback to current day- it was so smooth and easy to follow. I couldn’t help but chuckle at some points because the way she wrote Adelyn’s point of view when is high school is dead on with how high school girls think and talk. From the very beginning of the story you can’t help but fall in love with this couple who faces the harsh realities of high school and growing up together. I found myself wanting to shake them both and then wanting to just hug them both. I love when an author’s writing is able to pull such different emotions out of the reader. As the story continues to unfold you see how both these characters have grown and how they let their assumptions regarding specific things keep them apart. At their high school ten year reunion it is evident that the chemistry between them still exists but so does hurt and betrayal that neither of them think they can get past. As I got deeper into the story I often wondered if second chance love will win or if the past assumptions which broke the couple apart would win again!

This book had it all- love, sex, heartbreak, angst, laughs, and most importantly a fantastic storyline. I fell in love with both characters both as present day people and how they were in the past. I love how the author made the story believable and not once in the book did I feel it dragged on. I honestly laughed, got misty eyed, and smiled during this book. I love second chance romance books and this story did not disappoint. You need to go and do yourself a favor and one click this book and start reading it ASAP.

This is a second chance story. It is bitter and sweet. I wouldn’t want the agony that both of them seemed to suffer for 10 years. The story is told in both POV’s with one other person’s POV for one chapter.

I have to say that when I read this book I thought about this skit I saw on Studio C. It’s below. It’s humorous because it isn’t what it appears to be. This story had so many of those. But their lives weren’t funny but full of being caught in a moment of 'it isn’t what it appears' but 'I am not going to ask you what it was' because I am going to go with what I saw, that is hurt enough. Because no one wants to ask what it really is because the truth may hurt even more than it does right now. Know what I mean?? Not a great start in a relationship!

Ten years ago Adelyn left for College hours away from home. Her high school sweetheart was supposed to work with her to make it work while she was away. But something happened and one left with bitter feelings without finding if this is really what happened. When the other called over and over wondering why the call wasn’t accepted that person had hurt feelings. A vicious cycle. Now, it is the ten year anniversary for high school. Adelyn decides to go and maybe get some closure.

When she goes Trey is just a jerk to her. Yet at the same time his mind is happy to see her. They are both bitter and sweet. This is the revolving door theme with them for most of the book. They would finally talk to resolve that problem and another problem of I saw or heard that so it must be true. Sometimes I just wanted to strangle them both.

Oddly enough though, I really liked the book and how they eventually got their stuff together. I loved their families. I loved the love they truly had for each other despite their stupidity.

I didn’t like Amanda. She is the mean popular girl from high school that still gets in the way between them. Ugh!

So, if you like the drama of he said she said or saw type stories, lakes, snowflakes, babies, awful exes, surprises, and stories of second chances than this might be for you!

This is a sweet story about second chance at love, about rekindling a relationship that went up in flames due to misunderstandings and misconceptions.

Two people who loved each other dearly early in life, get separated and ten years later come back to their high school reunion. Little by little the story unfolds and we find out not only what happened that caused the separation, but also what they've been through those long lost ten years.

I'm usually not a fan of books that keep changing from the present to the past but I have to say that the author did an excellent job with the transitions throughout the story, making it seamless.

The characters are very likeable and I really identified with Adelyn and the choices she made. My heart went out to her, she made what she thought was a good choice, but in the end the heart wants what it wants and her decision cost her dearly. I liked Trey too, but his wishy whashy thing with Amanda really made me mad at times. Ugh Amanda, one of those characters that I just can't stand, no matter if she redeems herself at the end.

Two things that I found bothered me a bit, the unnecessary details at times when the story went back to the past, inconsequential things that the story could've done without because the big issues were there and there were well expressed. The other thing that I thought was a bit redundant was when the author made a statement and then felt the need to clarify what she said with "meaning this or that," in my opinion there was no need for that when it was clearly told what she meant in the first place. But these are just things that the critical eye in me saw and maybe will no bother other readers.

All and all, this is a very sweet story. Sometimes soulmates need to separate to grow, to experience things that perhaps they needed to learn before they get together with the one they are meant to be.

Now, can we talk Luke, Trey's brother? That boy needs a book STAT! I hope he gets it and I can't wait!

Unclaimed Regrets....
...a NA Romance for anyone looking for a heartfelt second-chance love story!

Rating: 5 stars

Reading the description for Unclaimed Regrets I just knew I'd love this story and I was right!

Main characters Adelyn Winters & Trey Masterson meet in high school in Vermont and quickly fall in love. Their instant connection grew and then tragically fell apart after a unthinkable event that drives a wedge between the two.

Fast forward 12 years later to their high school reunion where Trey & Adelyn see each other for the first time in years and discover their romance may not be over. As their love is rekindled, secrets and suspicions threaten to break them up yet again.

Can these two high school sweethearts truly end up together forever? Or is their love bound to stay in the past?

I absolutely loved Trey! I thought how he always called Adelyn "Snowflake" (based off her last name) was so precious! I thought the dual POV's (Trey & Adelyn) went great with this story! And the back and forth from the now to their high school years really helped in bringing the story more background & helped create well-rounded characters. The ending was an amazing HEA for everyone!

I recommend Unclaimed Regrets for ages 16 and over.

This story was just okay for me. I didn't hate it but I also didn't love it.

I never really felt connected to the characters and so it was hard for me to be invested in their relationship. I suppose that my biggest problem with the story is Amanda and how easily and often she came between Addie and Trey. I didn't understand Trey's connection with Amanda, especially after everything she'd done in the past to upset Addie. I spent a majority of the book being pissed off about Amanda and the other half wishing that Trey and Addie would just talk to each other and be honest and stop constantly jumping to conclusions.

I did like how the story was told in alternate POV's because it gave a better understanding of what both Adelyn and Trey were feeling and dealing with. I also enjoyed that we got a glimpse at their past through flashbacks. I almost wish that there had been more flashbacks.

I think that this is a story worth coming back and rereading at another time to see if my opinion changes. I would absolutely read another story from this author.

Unclaimed Regrets by Stacy M. Wray is a second chance romance that will have you equal parts smiling and gnashing your teeth in frustration. The characters are so well written that you truly will want to throttle them at times. I love when an author can produce that kind of reaction out of me.

Adelyn and Trey met in high school and meet again at their ten year high school reunion. This story is told from both point of view and both in present day and in flashback to high school. We slowly learn what went wrong. Why they broke up after Adelyn left for college. What assumptions were made and what mistakes they continue to make now that they are face to face again after so long apart.

While this is a happily ever after story - the journey there is oftentimes painful and angst-ridden so prepare yourself for this gorgeous ride.

Unclaimed Regrets by Stacy M. Wray
My rating 4 of 5 stars

Addy and Trey are high school sweethearts who had planned to spend the rest of their life together. After an unexpected tragedy, they drift apart. Addy moves away to college and their relationship ends after Trey calls and ends it. Addy tries to contact him unsuccessfully. Fast forward ten years later to their high school reunion. Addy is very anxious about seeing Trey again. She is seeking closure she never got all those years ago. Trey is very short and bitter towards Addy. What happens when they spend a little time together? Will they be able to overcome their past issues and move forward?

This is my first book by Stacy Wray and I enjoyed it. It is a story about young love, heartache, forgiveness and second chances. It is told in dual POV. Overall, I really enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it to others.

A must read of the year!! No words, this book left me completely when I first finished. I cannot even begin to describe how amazing this story is, and such an emotional rollercoaster. I couldn’t help but to laugh, cry, be in shock, get mad, and relieved throughout this story of second chances, misunderstandings, and love.

This story flowed effortlessly. I was drawn in on the first page and was completely captivated until the very end. This story is filled with so much emotion and I couldn’t help but to feel each emotion along with the characters.

I definitely recommend this book and promise you will not be disappointed. This is definitely a must read of the year.
