Cold Terror

Forensic artist Hannah Perry's skills make her a valuable asset to the police in solving criminal investigations.
Now she's taking a much-needed vacation on a secluded island with her young son. But a young woman has been murdered. Her body unidentified. Her skull recently discovered by the police, and Hannah feels compelled to help find the killer. She decides to work on the reconstruction in the evenings while her son sleeps. But as the woman's face takes shape, an assailant invades Hannah's cabin and tries to end her life. Before he can permanently silence her, she and her son flee the island in a small boat. Trouble is, as they approach Cold Harbor, ocean waves capsize the boat, enveloping them both in cold terror.

But it also makes her the next target.
Former SEAL Gage Blackwell can't believe his eyes as he plunges into the raging waters to rescue the pair. Owner of Blackwell Tactical-a law enforcement training facility and protection services agency-Gage pulls the woman he once loved from the angry ocean. When he learns of her attack, he vows to protect her while hunting down the killer. Alone and vulnerable, Hannah has to accept Gage's protection-even if it means staying close to the man who'd once walked out on her without a backward glance.

Cold Truth

Want to play a game?
When research chemist Kiera Underwood receives a cryptic phone call about her twin brother, she tries to contact him to no avail. Her twin sense tingles, warning her that something is wrong. When he doesn't return her call and his supervisor at Oceanic Labs claims he didn't come into work, she heads to Cold Harbor. But when she arrives in town to find the door to her brother's house ajar, she races to the lab to question his fellow employees.

Solve the puzzle and save your brother…
Kiera's terrified when an attempt is made on her life. Then Blackwell Tactical operative Cooper Ashcroft delivers her second shock of the day. Someone stole a deadly biotoxin. The main suspect? Her brother-and Blackwell Tactical has been hired to bring him in. If that wasn't distressing enough, she's suspected of colluding with him. She had nothing to do with the theft or murder, and despite the evidence staring her in the face, she knows that her brother is innocent of all charges. She sets out to prove it, putting her in the crosshairs of the killer. As Coop tries to protect her as well as solve the crime, he grapples with the possibility she's telling the truth and someone has likely abducted her brother-perhaps killed him. Now Kiera's life is in serious danger and Coop must protect her while discovering the cold truth behind the theft.

This series is filled with lots of action and romance. I like a story that keeps on moving. At times the characters get to thinking (what I like to call cogitating) and it slows the story down a bit, but overall I quite enjoyed these first three books in the series. I also like the team and the camaraderie that they had. I started the next series and saw some folks in it that I didn't know and realized that there was a previous series, so I went back and started here, and I'm glad that I did!

Gage and Hannah are the first couple in the series and they are the foundation of the Blackwell Tactical team; they had a previous relationship that ended when Gage wasn't ready to make things permanent. Hannah is attacked in her island hideaway and she and her son are able to escape with their lives in a small boat on a stormy sea. Before they can make it to shore the boat is tossed and she and her son end up in the ocean. Only Gage, who is taking a walk on the beach, can save them.

The second story centers on Cooper and Kiera. Cooper does most of the chopper flying for the team and is the most skeptical of all of the team members. He doesn't believe Kiera when she says that she had no part in the crime that her twin brother is supposed to have committed. She wants Blackwell to help in finding him innocent.

The third story is about Jackson and Maggie, another couple that had a previous relationship but it ended tragically. Maggie, a forensic scientist who is studying the bodies found in a large fire. She inadvertently sees the man who committed a murder and he now wants her dead.

This is a clean read, although there are several time when the characters eyes wander where they shouldn't!

Immediately ordered the next set

These stories are sweet romances, but the suspense is so gripping that it keeps me turning the pages well past my bedtime! Her heroes are strong and swoon worthy, but also realistically flawed, and finding their strength in their faith. Her female leads are strong women who can take care of themselves. They also have their own very human struggles, and have to learn to reconcile them with their own faith. I'm looking forward to reading the next books in the series. BTW, each story has a happily ever after, so they don't leave you hanging!

Fabulous!

I’m actually reading the Cold Harbor books for about the 3rd time because I just finished reading Night Hawk. I love the box sets with all of the books right in a row - especially since Susan Sleeman writes romantic suspense stories that I enjoy reading over and over again! All of the books have incredible story lines, awesome characters and wonderful words of wisdom that encourage my faith and walk with the Lord.

I am enjoying this series. I've left more detailed reviews under the individual books. So far though Book #3 has been my favorite. I enjoy the characters and their life and struggles. Life doesn't go the way we hope most of the time. The question is how do we handle things when bad things happen? Do we blame God or allow Him to minister to us in the midst of our hurt and heartache?

The first three stories are great reads. I love most of the characters to pieces and it’s interesting seeing these characters work through struggles in their lives and faith. I liked the 1st and 3rd books slightly better than the 2nd, but only slightly as I really enjoyed all three!

Gage - Cooper - Jackson

These three gorgeous hunks of manpower each have their own stories to tell. All are protective and talented former military or other law enforcement working at Blackwell Tactical just “doing their job”. They each found their lady doing their job! Exciting!

After reading the first book, I was so glad I’d bought this boxed set. I enjoyed reading a mystery with romance that was wholesome. Thank you Susan Sleeman for having characters who work through and share their faith in God.

I read all three of these books in this set. The author had me on the edge of my seat of all three adventures. The love story in each book is unique and keeps your attention through the book. Starting on the next book set about the technical team on kindle.

Fine I guess

I really tried to like these stories and I would have gladly read through, if not for all the right crap.
