Two couples. One love potion. And a whole lot of mayhem.
Henry Stoepel, Earl of Saalfeld has loved Lady May Cottrell since they were children. He’s proposed three times. She hasn’t said no, but she hasn’t said yes. He decides to give it one more try at his friend’s Christmas ball, knowing this time he might get the answer he dreads.
Mr. Everett Hawley and Lady Lucy Radnor have been engaged for several months. The banns have been read, but her parents invent flimsy excuses postponing the wedding date. Everett is determined to force her parents to fulfill the marriage contract at the Christmas ball.
When a little faerie magic gets mixed with mistletoe, both couples are plunged into mischief and mayhem. Will either get a happily ever after?
Mistletoe Mayhem begins where P.S. I Love You, Twickenham Time Travel Romance Book 1, ended.
Long-distance relationships are not easy. But what about long-time relationships... May has to choose between two loves of her life: Henry in the 19th Century or being a nurse in the 21st. Lucy has to choose between doing what her parents want or what her heart wants. Time for a little fae magic... Which results in a lot of mayhem. And two marriages. Wonderful read, with a lot of familiar characters from P.S. I Love You. So nice to see how Cora is doing in the 19th Century. I'm looking forward to reading Jo Noelle's next book in this series!
2.5 stars. This book was a disappointment! There was very little time travel and the plot, while imitating "A Mid-Summer's Night Dream" was actually quite silly - not funny or humorous, just dumb. I'm not really sure what compelled me to even finish it.
Also, reader be ware - this book is published under another title as well, "Midwinter Mayhem".
Another thing to be aware of is that this is the second book and the first is needed to even begin to comprehend the plot. May reviews I read after reading this book stated that they were totally lost and wished someone had told them it wasn't a stand-alone book.
I do enjoy time travel, and I did enjoy the first book of this series, so I'll probably give the third book a chance.
I've enjoyed the Twickenham series even though I don't usually read a lot of paranormal stuff. I liked this story and there was indeed some mayhem for a bit. It was imperative that there be two couples for this plot line but I have a difficult time with remembering names under the best of circumstances. So having two sets of main characters left me confused sometimes. Not the fault of the book mind you. When the mayhem started my head was really swirling trying to keep straight which two belonged together. Probably doesn't help that I haven't read the books in order so when a reoccurring character comes up (besides Nellie) I don't always recognize who it is. But if you set aside my quirks I think the story was entertaining. I kind of wonder a little about Nellie. Is it possible she knew from the start what mayhem would happen under the mistletoe and used her magic to bring it about knowing that it would resolve in the end but entertain her a bit in the meantime? Maybe. Maybe not. I don't know.
Oops! Sorry, this one really comes right after the first book in the series. I had forgotten that as I was reviewing the rest of the series. This has two couples that are meant to be together, but are having trouble accomplishing that. Between meddling relatives and a crazy love potion gone array, it will entertain and satisfy at the same time. Enjoy the Christmas themed segment and continue on with the series, it’s fun and rewarding!
Mayhem occurs when Aunt Nellie’s unreservedly spreads her matchmaking magic. I was pleased to learn more about May, Lucy, Henry, and Everett. They made up much of P.S. I Love You and was happy to read more of their stories.
It could have become a convoluted mess writing a two love stories with a love square thrown in. A very entertaining read.
I thoroughly enjoyed the ladies growth and decisions.
I've enjoyed the Twickenham Time Travel series so far, but felt that this entry, Mistletoe Mayhem, was jusn't quite as good as the previous books. The story felt chaotic and rushed, rahter like it was trying to be a 30-minute sitcom a la "I Love Lucy." Additionally, I felt at least one of the characters acted entirely different than what we've seen in prior books in the series, which was also jarring. Still, though, it is an enjoyable and quick read with a satisfying resolution to the story.
Clean romance This is the last Twickenham Time Travel book and the author mentions her first book in this series. I thought I might prefer reading the first book before the last book because of that. I enjoyed this book as much as I did the first. I think you may laugh about the couples in this book
Whatever the title I enjoyed the book. I actually read MIDWINTER MAYHEM but the cover is the same on both books so I trust this us the right book. The authors do a good job with the time travel but I like the fact that the main focus was on the two love couples in the book. Some fun twists I the middle makes for an fun read.
I enjoyed the fact there is two love stories. At times it was quite crazy and the of fun and heartbreak all at once. The best part was the ending, it gives you all the good feelings a romance should.
This story was crazy mixed up and very entertaining. A love potion goes wrong and the couples whoes story this is, ended up in quite a mess. I had many theories as to how it would end but none where correct. So cute!
I enjoyed the story. It was fun to see the different viewpoints of the different characters, and how they all work together. There were a lot of errors in the book that were a bit distracting. But other than that it was a great story.
It was different than the first book. I am happy she made the right decision. It was touch and go for a while. I enjoyed it. I had to put the book down when Henry proposed to Lucy.
Henry and May This story was deep, emotional, with twists and turns, and secret, with laugh out loud moments and a little magic. That keeps you glued to the pages of this fascinating story. All this within a love story. A must read.
Everett and Lady Lucy - engaged but her dad kept postponing hoping she gets a man with a title.
Henry/Earl Saafeld and May - she's a "traveler"
I enjoyed reading this captivating double romantic story that is fantastically written with unforgettable characters. Mistletoe Mayhem with Mayhem being the operative word is the perfect title. Both their stories have a wonderful HEA.
I loved this book. It was fun to see some characters from PS I Love You. And Aunt Nellie. She's hilarious. Two happily ever afters for the price of one.
This is a fun & funny short story. A different time travel romance when a love potion is consumed by 2 couples. Makes like a little mayhem for a while. Very enjoyable.
I'm always impressed when I read another Twickenham Time Travel Romance. I keep thinking, "There is just no way I can continue being entertained but the stories". BOY I AM WRONG. The author always manages to throw in some twist that I would not have thought about. Jo Noelle didn't disappoint in her story of the time travels of another lady. Love that she incorporated conflict within the main character. It wasn't just a cut and dry decision she had to make. Great job!
