He'll teach her how to play, but can she handle the game?
When Jillian Welch learns that golf courses have become the new singles scene, she convinces her editor to let her research the phenomenon for her Dating Diva column -- never mentioning what she really wants to do is fan an old flame.
There's something wildly enchanting about the columnist who arrives at Ben Cannon's golf resort. Ben's felt this magnetic pull only once before, for a bespectacled brunette who was nothing like this platinum blonde from New York. Confident, poised . . . and hitting on him like crazy--is she really interested in him, or merely seeking fodder for her Dating Diva column?
By day, USA Today Bestselling author Jenna Bayley-Burke is faster than a speeding toddler, stronger than a stubborn husband, able to leap tall Lego structures in a single bound...but by night, while the family sleeps she writes romance novels where no one ever has to scoop up after the dog, change diapers, clip coupons, drive carpool, do laundry, mop floors, get silly putty out of hair, vacuum, empty the vacuum bag (gross!), exercise, count calories, apply bandaids, clean up puke...wait where was this going? Oh, Jenna writes romance because it is glamorous. Just ask the dog.
Five stars. I loved it. The characters literally jumped off the page and were so real. Jillian had wanted Ben since she impulsively kissed him when they were in college. She is now a reporter for a big magazine and is assigned to write a series of articles about why golf is the new singles club. Ben just happens to own the golf resort. Her job is important to her but her main goal is to get Ben to kiss her again and maybe much more. She achieved her goals but things do not run as smoothly as they did in her fantasies. However, Ben has some ideas of his own. I highly recommend.
This was an okay book from the beginning, but then it just veered off course. it didn't flow well in my opinion. The smut was good, it was fun at times and it was a HEA, but it ended rather abrupt. I have mixed feelings on this.
