I loved this story! It was short but fantastic. I didn't want it to end.
Dani and Kal met at a Christmas party at her sorority. They soon become a couple before a misunderstanding breaks them apart. When Halloween rolls around, will Kal be able to reconnect with Dani at the Haunted House? Will she realize that they are perfect for each other?

Good
I am pretty sure that this is the first book that I have read by Alexis Adair and I really enjoyed it. Kal and Dani were a super sweet couple until a misunderstanding separated them. Of course communication would have cleared up the issue but where is the fun in that, lol.
This story is safe! Dani is a virgin and that annoyed me a bit, but Kal didn’t come off as a complete manwhore which was a plus!

4.5 Stars His dragon queen is a short novella that is part of the Halloween honeys series. This story is a little different from the other books in this series. That’s because we get nearly a year lead up to the charity Halloween sorority house event. Dani and Kal meet in December and we get little snippets of each month from December – October. I liked the build up to their happily ever after. I think because of the bits from each month in their relationship that this book is slightly slower paced.
The chemistry between Kal and Dani was clear to see and I thought they made a cute couple. They were both into one another but Kal seemed more into Dani than vice versa. I think that was because I found Dani slightly closed off at times, which was understandable considering the mix up/ misunderstanding that happened. I liked how determined Kal was to get Dani back. He was determined to break down her walls and make her see what had really happened.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is a nice read. I cannot wait to read more books from the Halloween honeys series.

Kal is a senior at Oak Ridge University. From the moment that he shows up at the sorority dressed like Santa he has eyes only for Dani who is a sophomore. They fall in love and are planning their future together when a misunderstanding occurs, and Dani ghosts him. Kal is determined to find out why and show Dani that their fairy tale will have a happy ending.
I really enjoyed them together. I think that Dani could have handled the situation a little better but Kal never gave up on their love or that they would be together. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Quick but good
“Oh my god,” Brinly says, her eyes wide and trained on the front door of the house. I swing my own gaze around to see what she’s gawking at. “Holy shit,” I mumble. Standing in the doorway—taking up just about the entire thing, in fact—is a gigantic Santa. He must be six-four or -five even without the hat, and his broad shoulders are pushing the boundaries of that Santa outfit he’s wearing. No jelly-belly on this Saint Nick; he is svelte enough to make the red-velvet and black leather costume look sexy. Seriously, even with the fake white beard.-excerpt

Dani is interested in the large Santa costumed Kal but she’s too shy to approach him. Later they connect and start dating till an unexpected blunder parts them. Poor Kal doesn’t know what he did wrong but he makes things right eventually. Let’s hear it for school mascots and uber protective sorority sisters. Those Halloween costumes would be something to see. I read this book using my KU subscription.

Love at first sight? Maybe Hot Santa is the one for you? A sweet, fast paced story, but not quite so fast that they don't get to know each other a bit! There was a little impediment and alcohol involved! Kal and Dani are explosive as a couple, and had a bump on the road, but no worries they end up together in the end! I love seeing the versatility of Alexis Adaire!

A very well written short story with lots of chemistry and passion. It shows the reader that communication is really important. Amazing characters that are described well and are likeable. A mix of lack of confidence and communication is one of the things that this heroin has to deal with. Luckily the Hero goes for what he wants.

This is the Halloween Honey’s series, each one is a standalone, they are quick sweet and sexy, Insta love reads I highly recommend them if you are looking for a quick fun read. They are well written and very entertaining. I can’t really say much as they are short and it gives away the story just go in and enjoy.

His Dragon Queen
Dani & Kal's story had me feeling so many emotions. When Kal confronted Dani & the way Dani lashed out at him, it made me tear up. Since I knew what was going, because I was reading it all 😉, I felt both of their pain. Love is a rough road but Kal stayed the course & won Dani back.
I love these compilations. They are quick, sexy treats that can be read to completion in one sitting and allow you to still be a productive adult for the day. It's a complete story all the way to the HEA. Looking forward to more of these romantic, sexy fun sized reads.

At first, I was really confused when reading this book as it seemed to be set at Christmas and I was sure it was supposed to be based around Halloween. However, it just starts at Christmas. Then the main story spanned over 12 months incorporating the Flirt Club’s theme of a haunted house run by the sorority girls in the following October.
The story grew on me as it developed. Kal was a little evasive to his feelings so I can understand why Dani did jump to conclusions. However, I think this was overdramatised a little as it could have been easily solved had she either have walked into the bedroom or given him the chance to explain sooner.
Time moved very fast in this book, jumping through the months, so I did feel as if I was missing out on big chunks of their lives. Missing out on what they were up to, their reactions to the situation and decisions that were being made.
So even though, this was a light and fun read overall, I’ve just read four of Alexis Adaire’s books back to back, and this wasn’t my favourite of the four. It could have been so much better with a little more of a condensed timeline, and then I may have felt a little more compassion and warmth towards the characters.

Kal & Dani
This one made me sweat a bit! I was worried for a little bit that they weren’t going to get their happily ever after and it was killing me. But it worked out and they got the happiness they deserve. Short, sweet and steamy!
