Stories of Families in Love and Crisis, Featuring Puddles, the Rescue Puppy.
The story, "Puddles" is based on a true story. A blue merle collie wandered into my yard, and I fell in love with that remarkable dog. I was as heartbroken as my son when I had to give him back to his human.
The next day I went to the local shelter to look for another big dog, but as I described in the story, a sad little puppy, with his nose sticking through the fence, stole my heart.
I've had pets for most of my life, and all came to me as a stray or from an animal shelter. All of them enriched my life, and I loved them dearly.
Did a furry friend enrich your life? If so, I'd love to hear about it.
Thanks, Brenda Hill

I love things that go bump in the night whether they're serial killers or other strange creatures. I've written about those pesky people who intrude on our lives with deadly force - Ten Times Guilty, With Full Malice. I'm still writing about those pesky people/creatures who intrude on our lives, but this time they're in a bit different form.
The House on Serpent Lake is a ghost/love story - with a twist.
