An excellent resource for any engineer interested in management (also seems useful for a non-technical manager interested in better understanding the engineers on their team). Organized into 6 principles - mastering relationships, seeing the big picture, getting things done, communicating effectively, using assests wisely, and taking it to the next level. While at first a bit overwhelming, the 35 chapters are well-written and concise so go quickly. Key take away: be wary of management fads and silver bullets, and regularly go back to the basics.
