Having a hot boss isn’t complicated or confusing at all,
Said no one ever…
But all I have to do is resist for a few months.
Come January, I’m flying to Paris to chase my dream of being an artist,
Too bad I can’t have my treat and eat it, too.

I forgot to mention… My hot boss was also my high school crush.
Sort of.
First, I wanted to crush him with gooey affection.
In the end, I just plain wanted to crush him.
Now he’s back, and he might as well have “do not touch” printed on his chest.
One tiny would it count if I didn’t use my hands?

Let me answer my own question. Yes, Emily, you raging horndog, it counts. Besides, my dream is practically waiting for me like a perfectly wrapped, shiny little package if I can just behave. I’d be an absolute idiot to risk that, and I have a long, proud history of not being an idiot to protect.

Unless it’s kind of like when you do really well in class all semester so you can afford to flunk a test at the end. Three months is a long time, and if he’s the one giving me the big, fat, dirty “F”, it does add a little dose of temptation to the equation.

But all I have to do is one quick job for him. A few posters and a few props for a big Halloween party that he’s hosting.

Then I just walk away from his dreamboat eyes and perfect body, grab a plane, and forget about all the beautiful children we could’ve squeezed inside our white picket fence.

After years of contemporary romance, she's temporarily trading meet-cutes for magical academies and coffee shops for castles that reek of blood. She promises the banter is just as sharp, but now it comes with deadly consequences.

Behind the scenes, Penelope Bloom is actually a husband-and-wife team. He handles the writing; she edits, helps with brainstorming, and runs the reader-facing side of things (like social media and messages). So if you’ve chatted with “Penelope” online, you’ve likely been talking to her—with the author chiming in whenever needed. Together, they’ve built the voice readers know and love.

This is book three in the Objects of Attraction series and the character base is expanding as it features everyone we have met in the first two books plus Emily.

Emily is an artist who Ryan engages in his corporate Halloween event and from there romance blossoms.

I really like this series, its never going to win any awards but the books are fun, very easy reading and perfect reads between heavier books.

Three stars.

At the time of posting this series is available on Kindle Unlimited.

I didn't think I could fall in love with Ryan's character.. and then I got this book.

His Treat was kind of a second chance at romance for these two characters, Ryan and Emily. Now these two went to the same high school but nothing really happened between them. Ryan sort of had a crush on her but was dating someone at the time. So when their paths crossed again it took one of them a bit longer to recognize who the other was.. cough cough.. Ryan.

These two were cute. Their romance was a bit slower than the others but it got good quick. They had cute bantering throughout the book and I loved laughing at all the scheming that went on just for these two to get it on. It was hilarious - especially when William was involved. Heck, I even loved Steve's character!!

The ending was probably the cutest thing ever because he went to Paris with her. Yeah, these two were adorable and shit. So pumped for the next one because it's about Lilith and she's my spirit animal!

Damn, I really thought that I was going to finish this one.
It started off strong for me with some funny and snarky humor and also two potentially likable MC's.
I got to about the 50% mark and it started to become a real struggle to go on (losing the will to live here- OK, possibly a slight exaggeration) : I am just not feeling any real chemistry between Emily and Ryan....storyline has me snoring ….gonna cut my losses instead of leaving it untouched on my currently reading list for the next few months or so.

This series has been a real mixed bag for me. I really enjoyed "His Banana"(super-hilarious, LOVED it) and that is probably why I was willing to give this one a try after the disappointing 2nd book "Her Cherry". That one had such juvenile humor and I also found the story totally unbelievable, I ended up DNF'ing it at 43%.

Hard to put my finger on exactly why book one was such a winner for me and I couldn't bring myself to finish either of the other two books. I think that I am finally over this author. Sadly, her characters and stories don't seem to be able to hold my interest with the one exception.

A sugary sweet treat!

I really enjoyed this book by Penelope! We met Ryan in book two with William and Hailey and now someone from Ryan’s past is here to stay. Emily gets hired to do some art work for a Halloween party that William is funding but Ryan is organising. However, William decides because Ryan helped him and Hailey get together, he’s going to do the same......and pulls out a few stunts which backfire almost drastically! In an attempt to protect himself from disastrous relationships, Ryan keeps his distance until he no longer can.

A very sweet tooth is needed in the reading of His Treat, but not so bad that your dentist will love you and your constant visits 😀

This was so weird and not funny for me. I guess I missed the previous books so I didn't understand why everyone was OTT strange and not funny whilst trying to be funny in a character kinda sense. I killed it for me when the hero's friends prank him into hooking up with heroine and trap them together in an elevator. When the heroine gets injured hitting her head, falling unconscious, the prankster laughs at the heroine lying there on the floor. How the fuck is that funny? No one bothers to bring her to hospital. The story just moves right along on the same disjointed, unromantic, unfunny road. Non of the secondary characters were likeable and there was no tangible chemistry that provoked me to think these two should hit it off. Nor was there any real sense of camaraderie or anything liking to friendship between all the characters. its was too much constant smartassery and nothing to bind anyone together in what could be a believable friendship or relationship.

Not my cuppa!

I can’t rate this lower than 3 stars because I did enjoy it but honestly it’s sad when the side characters are more interesting than the main characters. Not quite sure why the author thought Ryan and some new girl she invented would be a good storyline. I thought Candace and Ryan were leading to a romance and I’m still kind of mad that Candace and Natasha lost touch in the second book, I guess so William and Hailey was more of a chance encounter? I’m not sure. Anyway Ryan and Emily’s humor was hard to follow, I didn’t really enjoy their escapades. Grammy and William were the best pasts of this book. That being said I’d still recommend this series and will probably still read the 4th book about Lilith because she was kind of hilarious too.

I LOVE Penelope's Treat stories! I was wondering whom I had missed in the last two books for Penelope to add to this fun collection but it is Williams not so fun secretary's niece.

Ryan and Emily are made to work together for a Halloween party for the company. Ryan needs an artist and Emily is that person. But when they meet it is a weird chemistry that makes them a great couple. They both seem to know each other but can not pinpoint it.

This is a great addition to the collection!

I loved this book. Emily and Ryan both have reasons why they shouldn't take their attraction to the next level. As they keep reminding themselves to not move forward they get even closer. Their crazy history and future predicament made this a great story. I wasn't sure what to expect but Ryan was an amazing book boyfriend. He was such a supportive man, loved him!! Emily was a strong woman and I loved her passion and drive. I enjoyed this book from start to finish. I loved all 3 books!!

If quirky, sometimes cringey, romcom is what you are looking for, then you are in the right place. Oh my dear! The things that William comes up with to taunt and torment those around him, especially Emily and Ryan - who he's trying to setup - is just WOW! Yes, William rears his crazy head again, as do Bruce, Natasha, Grammy, and Hailey. This book can be read as standalone, even though it ropes in the characters from earlier books in the series. It was a funny listen and had me stopping a few times to rewind as I scratched my head wondering what had just happened. LOL!

I am so upset that my review is GONE! Ugh...why me?

Short but sweet...I love this series, even if it is "naughty" but oh, so FUN to read! The books in this series are good for a laugh, if you don't mind downright "dirty" puns...sexual foreplay, if you will...sexy talk and flirting. I just love them and I don't generally care for erotic books. The banter and playfulness and sexual innuendos go far with me in this series. I love Objects of Attraction series and if you like humor, you might want to try them too. Start with book 1.

Il mio dolce peccato (Objects of Attraction, #3)<br />by Penelope Bloom

It was the story of Ryan and Emily. Though it was good but after reading the first 2 books it felt missing something. No doubt it was funny and all the William's antics were so sweet.

I just wish I liked Emily more. ☹ No she was not bad but I personally didn't like. May be because at every turn she was like "but I'll be leaving for Paris in January". 😔

Love the story, love the characters. This series is by far my favorite of Penelope’s. Emily & Ryan are sweet, funny and definitely will make you laugh. William you can’t not like because he does outrageous things, says crazy stuff and definitely will have you laughing out loud. Great characters and great story that I didn’t want too end.

This book is terribly cheesy and corny. Predictable too. But at least it's an easy read and pretty entertaining (only because of William and Grammy)

Chris Mc Granitt - per RFS
.
Dolce, pazzo, irriverente e romantico.

Good

**** There are spoilers in this review******

Man I can’t wait to read the book with Lilith, she was the secretary who was mean to Hailey who is Ryan friend who he was working for before she gave him ownership of her business; and she married William who is Lilith boss... 🤣 this girl is priceless. Can’t wait until she finds love herself... maybe hers will be a little freak in it who knows...

Plus, I do like Emily and Ryan together even before they started dating up until they did. Plus, Steve is hilarious, smh, I am just hoping maybe the author will make a book about him and perhaps even Stephanie, I wanted her to find love too...

What I did figure out was Ryan was going to follow Emily to Paris, which I think it’s a good idea that she still pursued her dreams and he didn’t try to stop her from it... usually like, when men want something the woman has to stop what she’s doing.

William and Steve was hilarious throughout this whole book both of them made it fun to read because they always had me laughing by all the crazy things they were doing when it came to Emily and Ryan... but at least they ended up with each other because lord knows it took them long enough to figure out how they wanted each other and had feelings that ran deeper than they believe could.... but I was hoping they ended back in America, after her apprentice...
