Calypso knew he looked good. He loved bright colors, makeup, and most of all, high heels. The higher the better. The sassy mouth and self-assured man he presented to the outside world wasn’t how he felt on the inside. At the Knights Club he hide the self-doubt and depression. Until, Benedict Hart walked in bringing all his old demons back to life.

Benedict Hart was a high-priced gigolo. It’s not what he started out in life to do but it paid the bills. Meeting Calypso at the Knights Club turned his world upside down. The man was sexy, smart mouthed and completely sure of himself. He made Benedict want things he hadn’t thought about in years. Losing a dear friend spurs him into action, but will his past get in their way?

The Knights Club hosts a group of characters diverse in every way, but they are family. Xavier Knight watches over them as if they were his children. And, like most families, things don’t always run smoothly.

I enjoyed the story and liked seeing Ben and Calypso work things out. What I didn’t like was the formatting. There were several time jumps in the story that were confusing. Weeks would go by at a time between one paragraph and the next. I just felt lost and had to frequently go back and reread to figure out what was happening.

A good story. A rough past makes Calypso front a lot. But for Benedict he wants to let it all go. But too many things are piling up and it may not be possible, if Calypso doesn't learn to let go

Letting Go is the second book in CJ Baty's The Knights Club series. It's fun, riveting and sexy.

Calypso was thrown out of his home by his homophobic father who hated that Calypso is gay and feminine. He's now a sassy and confident man, in public, that is. Inside he's still suffering and is lost.

When Calypso sees Benedict, he is tripped up from his striking appearance. It just so happens that Benedict finds Calypso to be exotic and hot.

Personally, I love and adore Calypso's sass and femme side. He's loveable, funny and charming. Who the hell owns that many pairs of heels? You just have to love that part of him. As for the real personality of Calypso, it's sad and emotional to read about his problems.

In this tale, we are reminded to not waste time, never assume you have tomorrow, so take action today. We follow along as the men face confidence issues, confusion, and more, as they work their way towards a wonderful kind of love.

And since we're at the Knights Club, we get more of our favorite guys, Xavier and Seb!

Letting Go is on par with the other books I've read by CJ Baty. It's entertaining, gripping and very enjoyable. I am so glad that I discovered CJ's books and look forward to reading more in the future.

This series is full of interesting characters, not the least of which is Calypso. From his red Jimmy Choo's to his sassy attitude, he certainly draws attention, especially from Benedict Hart. What this book lacks in pages, it makes up for in story. These guys are both a bit broken by troubled pasts and have remade themselves into what we see on the surface. When danger strikes, one of them learns a valuable lesson about family - not the one we're born with, but the one we make. The story does have its fun and sexy side. After all, this is the oh, so sassy Calypso, but it's also a story of finding love and letting go of past hurts.
This is part of a series and Letting Go continues from events in the first book. It can be read as a standalone, but there are things mentioned from the first book and you won't want to miss Xavier and Seb's May/Dec romance. There are so many terrific characters in this series, and I'll be watching for the contrary Rio's story.

Calypso is beautiful. Mascara, heels, glitter and gloss are all part of who he is. He’s sassy but doesn’t take any sass. When he starts falling under the spell of Benedict, he isn’t sure it’s a good thing. Ben is an escort, he doesn’t proclaim it, but isn’t ashamed of it either. The road to happiness is full of bumps and potholes but these men are meant to be together.

Calypso wears his sky high heels like the diva that he is. Ben rocks a tailored suit to perfection. Once again the author has written a short story that gives the characters a lot of depth. Bringing the rest of the Knight’s Club personality’s along for the ride. Some drama adds to the story, but not the enough to pull me out of the vibrant sparkle that is Calypso and Ben.

A Scattered Thoughts and Rogue Words Review An Alisa Review:

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars

The Knights Club hosts a group of characters diverse in every way, but they are family. Xavier Knight watches over them as if they were his children. And, like most families, things don’t always run smoothly.

This was a nice story. Calypso won’t let anyone tell him what he is supposed to be but deep down he doesn’t trust that anyone will actually want him. Benedict changed the path of his life in college and is now getting the chance to leave that behind, being able to be what Calypso needs the most.

Calypso has learned to run at the first sign of trouble and that’s just what he does when it comes knocking at his and Benedict’s happiness. Benedict goes to great lengths and shows everyone that he means well and loves Calypso. There were a lot of time gaps in the story which made some things hard to line up but allowed the story to take place over a longer time period. This story followed the same short premise of the first book, so I had a good idea of what to expect and look forward to continuing the series.

The cover art by Select-O-Grafix is similar to the first in the series, giving some visuals for the characters just not great composition.

Calypso is a fantastic character. He's such a contrast from the more refined Benjamin and they make a fun couple. What really stood out was Calypso's warmth and understanding when it came to the troubled youths. Nice contemporary story with a wonderful cast of characters.

The story was another good story. However, I cannot get over the grammar, editing, and format of the book.
