She lost her husband and misses him dearly. He lost his wife but is ready to move on. Will a chance meeting in a foreign city change their lives forever?

Following her husband’s untimely death, Wendy Miller’s life revolves around her adult children, but when she accepts an invitation to her late husband’s grandmother’s 90th birthday party in London, she meets a dashing, silver-haired Texan cowboy in Dublin. Bruce captures her heart, but can she move past the memories of her late husband and truly open her heart all over again?

Bruce McCarthy did his best to hold his family and ranch together after his wife died in a car accident ten years before, but following a recent health scare, he decides to live every day as if it were his last and books a flight to Ireland to find his Irish family.

The captivating woman he accidentally spills coffee on one morning stirs something inside him, and Bruce wonders if God might be giving him a second chance at love…

As they meet again in London, Paris and Venice, their friendship grows deeper, but while Bruce is eager to take their friendship further, Wendy is unsure if her adult children will accept a new man in her life, especially when one of them still blames God for allowing her father to die prematurely.

If Wendy can trust God to take care of the details, and Bruce can overcome his fears of his cancer returning, then they may just find true love again after all…

Such a lovely story!

I do adore a romance story of an older generation...when Bruce and Wendy meet they click immediately, but she lives in Australia and he lives in Texas! What can possibly come from this holiday romance? I seriously enjoyed their struggle to find a balance between their family obliges and their new found love.
I immediately pre ordered the next book in this series.....cannot wait to read it!

I so love reading books written by Juliette Duncan and this one doesn't disappoint!
Wendy is a widow with the grown children who lives in Sydney, Australia. Bruce is a widower with three grown children who lives on a ranch in Texas. But an accidental meeting in Dublin, Ireland, changes both their lives.
Neither every expected to fall in love again but God's grace and provision gives them a second chance. But they live half a world apart and their children are not all on board. Can God really work this out for them? Choosing to trust Him, they walk forward a day at a time.
This is a great feel good read that has you rooting for a happy ending!
I graciously received this ARC for an honest review. My honest opinion is you can't go wrong reading any book by Juliette Duncan and most definitely you will not want to miss this one!

I liked that this author always places GOD in the center of everything. I liked that the author pointed out that we should treasure each day said through one of the main characters & the title of this book. I loved that the author encouraged there are still good things that happen after losing a husband. I was sorry for the families at losing fathers & mothers. It saddens me that even in real life we have to play the blame game. Our lives can be so much better getting rid of that premise. And I liked that trust is so important to letting go our control of our children & letting GOD work.

This is a beautiful Christian love story. It’s about a widow and widower each going on a trip overseas from different parts of the world and meeting quite by accident (literally after he spills his coffee on her). They find they enjoy one another’s company, and it progresses in what some may deem a fairy tale. But they face lots of obstacles in their respective families and distance between their homes if they are to pursue a deeper relationship. It’s truly a feel good love story most definitely worth the read!

Very enjoyable

I really enjoyed this book. It's lovely to know that after the heartache of losing your life's partner that the Lord has someone else for you. Second chances at love are wonderful (I've seen this first-hand in my own family). I also loved the fact that Wendy visited the most beautiful country in the world - Northern Ireland where I live. I was disappointed that we didn't get to find out before the end about the family members who were causing their parents heartache - obviously that's for another day!!

A beautiful story of unexpected love. Both of the main characters have lost their spouse and they are surprised by the attraction they feel. Both of them have issues in their families that cause them to question how they could be together. It is a story of faith, love, and joy. I really enjoyed it! (I received an advance review copy from the author. The opinions expressed here are completely my own.)

Juliette has written another beautiful story about second chances. This is a very easy to read story that celebrates finding love again after the death of a spouse. This is a sweet story about love finding two people who are not necessarily looking for love. Love overcomes the obstacles of distance. I received a copy of this book but have voluntarily chosen to write an review of my honest opinion of this story.

I really liked that the author, Juliette, wrote a Christian love story, involving an older couple...that is sooooo rare!!

It's not that I am thinking, I would want that personally, but it is nice to see how the Lord, might indeed plan it for some seniors, a woman who has lost her husband, or a man his wife, and how a second love can sometimes be what God wants for them.

It also deals, with the various family problems each already has, and how God worked in their children's lives.

This is a beautiful Christian love story of second love. Wendy and Bruce were both widowed and had a chance encounter. The story is beautifully written and so down to earth. Juliette tells of the trials they face from their adult children. It is very believable and real to life. I highly recommend this book. I did receive an ARC copy, but the review is my honest opinion.

This love story of Wendy and Bruce starts when neither is looking for romance. As an older couple they are worried about their adult children's reactions and also wonder if they are dishonering their first spouses memories. This is a charming story of finding themselves falling in love and making beautiful memories of their own.
I received a complimentary copy and chose to give an honest review.

A beautiful story of finding love again after the loss of a spouse. It's amazing how God sets things up, such as this older couple from different sides of the world meeting in Ireland. Their story of new love and faith in trusting God to work things out is heartwarming.

A Time to Treasure

I have been on a Christian fiction hiatus for about a year now, but in the last couple of months, I've been trying to ease myself back into this genre. Christian fiction is my favorite genre, but I felt that some of the books were becoming boring, with many similar tropes reappearing. Furthermore, I think this genre of fiction has so many restrictions that get in the way of writing a good story. However, A Time to Treasure did not disappoint me; it was a joy to read. I love that the hero and heroine were an older couple, and their faith was a natural part of their lives. It seemed as if the author was not trying to force her beliefs on the reader, but rather to tell the reader in a loving way that here are two people who have ups and downs, but they trust in Jesus to see them through it all. The lessons in this book are ones that I can apply to my life. I would love to see Juliette's books in audio format because they are so pleasant. I imagine that an excellent narrator would really enhance this story and others she has written.

This book is a real treasure, beautifully written and amazingly edited and portrayed. I loved all the characters. The author gave us real people with real problems - families that are less than perfect in a less than perfect world. I loved that the main characters, Wendy and Bruce, in their mid to later years of life, have a chance of not only seeing some lovely places around the world but have another chance at love and happiness too. I loved that their grown children had problems like so many of our own families have, and that their parents loved them unconditionally.

I look forward to reading more about these two interesting families - one from Australia and one from Texas. A lovely, exciting story that I would recommend to people of any age from teens to the golden years and up. I did receive an ARC of this book from the author but I am gladly reviewing and recommending it. A great story!

A Time to Treasure is a well-written Christian romance about a mature couple with adult children. Both had their spouses die and were now alone. I enjoyed the scene in which they meet. I loved the main characters, their love for each other, and for their children--even the ones that weren't living right. I liked how they turned to God for help and wisdom. The setting ranges from Australia, to Texas, Ireland, Fiji, London, Paris, and Venice. The story moves at a good pace. The dialogue flows well. The HEA is fabulous! I hope to be privileged to read more of Juliette Duncan's work. I received an ARC. I chose to write a review and share my opinion of this lovely romance.

Wendy and Bruce’s story is truly amazing and inspirational. When Wendy decides to travel to the parties her life will change. When Bruce accidentally bumped into Wendy he couldn’t believe the feelings he was getting. All the time that they spend together they realize that only God could have brought them to meet each other. Watching the journey these two take is truly amazing. You will feel God working throughout this whole wonderful story. I had the honor to review this book for the author for a honest review. I would give this book a higher rating than a five star review if I could.

This is a story of second chances in love.

Wendy (from Australia) has decided to travel to celebrate her late husband's grandmother's birthday.

Bruce (from Texas( decides to travel to try and find his relatives.

These two have a chance meeting and fall in love. Worried about their families reactions, and where would they live, amongst other situations within their families, Bruce asks Wendy to marry him, but she needs time to answer him.

Great characters and wonderful story line. And the story will continue in the next book. Can't wait.

I loved this book! I especially enjoyed that the main characters were older (the h. referred to herself as "a vintage woman") and widowed. The challenges of finding love again after losing the love of your life, dealing with adult children and their struggles, a chance meeting over spilled coffee and a European holiday all come together to make up this delightful story. A clean romance I highly recommend! I can't wait to read the next book in this series! I received a complimentary copy of this book and have voluntarily given my honest opinion in this review.

A Christian Romance

I loved this book. It showed how you have to carry on after the death of a spouse and how love can happen again after time. It also shows how much you have to work to have your children understand you’re not discarding their father or mother. Also how important it is for the new person to accept and care for the spouses children, if they’re living at home or else where.

God is always at the center of the lives in this widow and widower, Wendy and Bruce.
They meet when he accidentally spills coffee on her, but was it really accidental? Both of them are Christian and look to God for direction in their lives. An inspirational story of second love for an older couple, neither looking for another love. You'll find faith, love, and happiness throughout the story.
Excellent job, Ms. Duncan!

London for a grandmother’s 90 birthday, she never thought love would come again and so quickly.. When Wendy sees Bruce, a cowboy from Texas, they both were smitten. They are not young, and she is from Australia and his roots are in Texas.Hard to take that step toward having a second chance at love, when she brings in her children, what would they think, they are out on their. A good story of finding love and happiness once again to treasure.

Wonder how old Bruce was? It's now been 10 years since my wife left. She always said if she should go first I should remarry. So it was 10 years for Bruce. Maybe I should start looking -- I'm only 90 yet. Seriously, what a delightful "adult" romance. I could so easily identify with the feelings expressed. I hardly bothered to put the book down till I finished it. Well, I did have to stop to eat.

Must read

A Christ honoring romance. As a "mature" woman, I could identify with the characters; they were all very real. Wendy and Bruce fell in love quickly and yet had an assurance about their romance. I enjoyed the fact that folder people still enjoy romance and closeness and can appreciate a 2nd chance at love.
Hopefully the next book in the series will reveal how the family relationships develop and how Bruce and Wendy handle families so far apart.

A story of finding that second chance at love.

Sometimes things happen with no clear explanation but your heart knows it is not by chance. You feel a really connection with someone you just met . This story shows all the thoughts and fears of this couple who meet far from their homes. The love of God and the trust they put in Him carries them through to a halt ending. I love this story.

Made for each other

Wendy Miller is mother of three and a widow. Bruce McCarthy is the father of three and a widow. They meet in Dublin Ireland and fail in love. Wendy have a daughter that blame God for the death of her father. Bruce have a son that could forgive himself for the death of his mother. All I can about this love story is what God has joined together, let no one separate.
