This is a straight-forward introduction and survey of Paul's letter to the Romans.
This lecture series consists of six twenty-five minute lectures by Father Matera. Matera's delivery is articulate and enthusiastic. His coverage of the material is coherent and informed. He covers Romans by moving from the introduction to the end of Romans, breaking the chapters down into units that cover the themes he identifies in the material. For Matera, Romans is about man's situation without Christ, man's situation with Christ and how man gets access to God through faith in Christ.
There's probably nothing new or different in that approach, but for those who are looking for an introduction or refresher this makes for an engaging three hours.
