Chemistry and Physics, always two closely related sciences, have been brought into more intimate relations by recent developments in research and our increasing understanding of matter and energy. One of the goals of the editor and the publisher is to provide a reference book which will assist in providing certain information to further this understanding. The editor attempts to include material which has a high probability to find extended use in many branches of chemistry and physics and the closely allied sciences. This 1st Student Edition provides certain core data and information that are constant or which change only slightly over an extended period of time.
It started out strong with Natural Trigonometric Functions to Four Places but began to get bogged down around Ionization Constants of the Amino Acids in Aqueous Formaldehyde Solution. However, once it got to Diamagnetic Susceptibilities of Organic Compounds, I was hooked and couldn't put it down.

This is not a book for reading because it does not have a soul or a story. It is a book that lists all the chemical elements, isotopes, compounds, physical traits, etc etc. and I took over 4 years of chemistry in college. This was not a book with any kind of story. There was a trace of history but this was a book for knowledge sake and that was all.
Anyone who touches this book is not going to have a good time. They are referencing this book only to garner the mind numbing knowledge it contains. Good luck to you if you're opening this book. There will be work and no play. It is big enough to hold the door open.
