A nice standard book of old-fashioned cookies from chocolate chip to Buñelos. Tried one recipe so far, Russian Walnut Tea Cakes and was quite good. A round short-bread cookie with walnuts a covered in confectioners sugar was a hit with the family. Some of the more interesting recipes I want to try next include “Everything-but-the-kitchen-sink Chocolate Chip Cookies”, Sour Cream Tangerines, and Marzipan Strips. The books’s final recipe was a Barnyard showstopper (I’m not even going to attempt that).

While the book provides some good info of certain ingredients and biggest thing holding it back is lack of description of almost all the recipes of each cookie.

I will try some other recipes and see if this is worth keeping.
