Abu Ameenah Bilal Philips was born in Jamaica, but grew up in Canada where he accepted Islam in 1972. He taught Islamic Education and Arabic in private schools in Riyadh for over ten years and for the past three year he has been lecturing M.Ed. students in the Islamic Studies department of Shariff Kabunsuan Islamic University in Cotabato City, Mindanao, Philippines. Since 1994 he has founded and directed The Islamic Information Center in Dubai, U.A.E. and the Department of Foreign Languages at Dar al Fatah Islamic Press in Sharjah, U.A.E. One of the special features of this book is that it is a rapid reader. You feel like you kind of want to take all of it in one go! Which only tells you how captivating the book really is alhamdulillah.
I read the electronic copy of the book so as you could guess it is really not difficult for anyone to get their hands on it. So I recommend get the book and just read it! It is a must read for anyone from amateur to advanced level students of Islam, at least that's what I feel. It is an easy, fun and beneficial read. It is worth your time!

I read this book timely before performing Hajj 1443 of which Arafah also fell on a Friday. It encouraged me to a next level of excitement to perform the Hajj that year and got me to be grateful even more.
Meanwhile, the lessons of the story of the boy and the king is evergreen and is applicable through every stage of life for all kinds of people.
Bilal Phillips lectures very well on the particular learnings and lessons of the surah. One can refer to this book again and again to revise this surah and for notes to teach others.
