Sunny’s sunny disposition was certainly inspiring. It was something to strive for (especially the fact of her no fear of riding car after the accident that caused her paralysis). Grant in the other hand, was a refreshing character. His dominance was not suffocating. He even brought Sunny in a cat café in their first date.

Their chemistry however was kinda non-existent. Their spark was there but it was not that radiant. Also, the way the story ended and resolved the conflict left the reader hanging. It was like, ‘Okaayy? That’s it?’

Perhaps there was just so much expectation of the ‘an against the odds romance’.

Tldr: Dnf, superficial ditzy heroine, nonsensical/poorly researched, no character or relationship development by 33%
I am a terrible terrible book quitter, but when I can't even force myself to finish a book this short you know it was bad. I'm all the time whining about books who focus on the heroine's size like it's the end all be all of her character. Normally it's because she's got major body/esteem issues and it's frustrating to never see a well adjusted heroine go about her life who just happens to not look like a supermodel. I didn't think I'd have to have the same complaint in the opposite direction. She was so into her own body that it was the entirety of the first 15% of the book. She's so curvy, and curvy, and cheerful, oh and did we mention curvy. She had zero depth and came off as really ditzy. The entire book was too contrived and not even in a well researched way. She gets hit by a "Mack truck"...not just any old truck they're very intent on letting you know. On one page she needs explained to her what the jaws of life are then two pages later she's weeping and repeatedly says she doesn't want to be a paraplegic. No normal person talks like that, much less someone who wouldn't even likely know that word. Somehow despite being hit by a massive truck while in a miata and needing to be cut out of the car she's not really that injured despite some pretty severe bruising/swelling in the face. But Jessica, you might ask, she ends up paralyzed that's the whole premise of the book! Ah yes valid point but here's the thing though...the hot Dr (and I'll tackle that ina sec) told her it was all psychosomatic, not from actual physical damage. I suspect his love was going to heal her. Psychosomatic paraplegia doesn't appear to be a real medical condition but we push on. Although now that I think about it am I supposed to buy that she was in the hospital for an extended period of time and no other medical personnel told her this, but waited for a PT to tell her? Nah. Sunny isn't feeling so sunny, in fact she's depressed and despondent until she meets the hot physical therapist and all of a sudden she's not worried about whether she'll ever walk again, but rather why didn't she brush her hair/put on makeup/shave her legs. Ok above and beyond that making me annoyed because I vastly prefer strong women, physical therapists are not doctors. They have a program, get an advanced degree, and have a test for licensure but they didn't go to med school they didn't earn the Dr title. How do you know this Jessica, you might ask? Well I know this because I have to deal with tons of them at my job. Maybe that wouldn't have bugged me if they hadn't constantly been throwing it around but two months later of five visits a week they're still at dr and miss which finally made me give up. I'm 1/3 of the way through a romance book first of all, how are we going to progress to romance if they aren't even on a first name basis. Second if I'm don't have a friendly relationship with my medical provider after that many visits I feel like it's time to find a new "dr". I probably overthought this one but it's these details that separate the stellar from the ok, or in this case the readable from the not.
Props to the author for putting a non tribal tattooed dude on the cover though

Short and Sweet🍬🍭

Short and sweet🍬, good enough to eat!🍰
This novella is about a young woman who has a wonderful sunny outlook on life. When she gets into a wreck that paralyzes her legs, she doubts herself for a while. Her therapist is a tall, handsome hunk that feeds on her great attitude and they hit it off immediately. HEA!

Nice book, not very inspiring as the blurb had me believed, all the time i was expecting Grant to be abusive or with a secret with all the hiding of the relationship, all the signs made me weary almost till the end of the book.
Anyhow it was a light read fitting for a weekend.

Stephanie aka Sunny is a curvy girl she loves fashion but she used to hate her body, now she works with what she’s got and she’s never been happier. Sunny works in the women’s department at Sanders she loves helping women find clothes that makes them look beautiful, one day she wants to start her own freelance style business for larger girls that have trouble finding clothes that fit or make them feel good about themselves. Sunny is looking forward to tonight it’s a girls night out and she can’t wait to see her friends but her boyfriend Mark calls and he wants her to break her plans but she won’t because she hasn’t seen her friends in a long time, but Mark starts being a sook and hangs up on her. While sitting at a red light Sunny decides to do her lipstick when bang she ends upside down in her car, the next thing she knows is that she is in the hospital and all of her girlfriends are there, they tell her that she was hit by a very large Mac truck and she has the most heartbreaking news ever she can’t move her legs. Sunny’s physical therapist is gorgeous and he’s taken a personal liking to Sunny, Grant McCarthy is in his 40’s he’s always loved curvy girls and Sunny is his perfect match, he wants her and he’s determined to have her. I loved this story and I will be looking out for more from this author, at the end of this book there is a bonus chapter of Making her Mine A Billionaire Office Romance. A fantastic story a 5 plus ⭐️ read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the romance between Sunny and Grant. Sunny was a young woman who was in a bad car accident and lost the use of her legs. Sunny was a very upbeat person and loved helping other look their best. When she met Grant, a doctor who was in charge of her physical therapy, she was attracted to the good looking man. Grant was older than Sunny and was very attracted to her. They worked together on Sunny's recovery for months until Grant couldn't deny his attraction to her any longer and they had an encounter at the hospital. Grant called later that night and asked her to dinner. Sunny wanted to be with Grant and they had a great connection. Grant made Sunny feel attractive and desired again. Grant and Sunny both knew they had to keep their relationship secret because Grant could lose his job at the hospital. They had a great connection and chemistry and things go well until Grant is called to the review board about his relationship with Sunny. I really loved this story. I love how Grant saw Sunny as a beautiful woman and didn't care she was disabled. i loved how positive Sunny was and how she brought so much happiness to Grant. Good one.

Sunny was in a bad accident on her way out for girl's night with some friends. Due to the accident she couldn't walk so when she is told she has to have physical therapy she agrees. Grant is Sunny's physical therapist and sparks fly between them from the moment they meet. Even though he knows it could cost him his job Grant asks Sunny to go out with him. They go to a coffee place that has loose cats that you can visit and pet while you have coffee. It was an amazing date and when it was time for the night to end neither was ready for it. They kept their relationship a secret because they knew the problems it would cause. However will they be able to keep it a secret for long? Will Sunny be able to walk again?

This is an amazing story once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between Sunny and Grant blazed off the pages. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

ONE VERY SWEET READ!!!
Oh man! This is one exciting, pulse racing, heart pounding, page turning tale that captivates from the start. Talk about wearing your heart on your sleeve. Ok, I admit I cried. This is just such an incredible and loving adventure between two perfectly matched people. They have such a strong bond and connection that goes soul deep. Emily totally nailed this bad boy. The characters and their personalities are unique with qualities and traits that flows along smoothly. The scenes are so graphic and detailed it's easy to picture each scenario as it plays off one another beautifully. Emily did an excellent job bringing this read to life flawlessly. Fantastic job Emily, thanks for sharing this awesome read with us.

Sunny was in a car accident that left her partially paralyzed. Grant is her physically therapist. Aside from the odds of a full recovery, the other roadblock is their attraction to each other. Similar to a doctor/patient taboo, they are “against the odds”. Obviously, there is a happy ending but not without some consequence. Their story is steamy, sweet, dramatic and emotional- definite recommendation. I received this book for a voluntary, completely honest and non incentivized review.

Fabulous love story about a patient and her physical therapist who can't help but fall for each other! They both have baggage, but they soon realize that dealing wit their baggage together is better than being apart!

It was ok

The story was a bit contrived and didn't really have a lot of substance. The main character interaction was not well developed in the beginning. The story just overall felt forced.

Intereating premise, but lacking in depth.

I voluntarily reviewed a free advance copy of this book.

Sunny has a great, happy personality, but she was severely injured in a car accident that left her unable to walk. Grant ends up being her therapist, and falling for her luscious curves. After breaking the rules of doctor/patient relations in the clinic, they fall for each other. This was a good book, but seemed rushed and a little unreal in how quickly everything happened.
