Maxine's Halloween is interrupted, first by teenagers after the party of the century, and then by a vampire. When you're a ghost, very little scares you, and Maxine is just surprised he can see her. After 19 years of loneliness, Beau the vampire comes along and changes everything.
Beau comes into her life with the promise that she can heal old wounds and find a new life. If she's brave enough to hold out her hand and take a chance, that is.

I was a little apprehensive about starting this story. I was a little confused on the fact a ghost and Vampire make an unlikely bond. I needn’t have worried because I really enjoyed this story. I just wish it were longer. Haunted is the first book of Miranda Bailey’s that I have read. I liked Maxine and Beau. I liked how they met and how Beau helped her. I liked that Maxine finally came into her powers. I was amused at her annoyance of what was happening to her home. I liked her surprise when she met Beau and realised he could hear and see her. I have to admit, a part of me wanted Beau to be able to make Maxine human again but obviously that was an impossible task. I loved the scene between Maxine and her father. I was happy that she was able to contact him and tell him what happened to her. I was happy that she was able to stop him doing what he had planned to do. The scene made me emotional and my heart ached for both Maxine and her dad. I’m happy that Maxine and Beau got a happily ever after. I liked seeing them together and I was glad that they found one another. There was definitely some chemistry between them. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is a nice read.
This is a super short book about a vampire and a ghost not really romantic and not really sex lol
Beau goes to the place Maxine was killed and spots her scaring few teens introducing himself and with a message from her dead grandma about her suicide father.. to save him to stop blaming himself for what happened to all the woman in his life..
And that's about it.. chapter 4 is a year later Maxine and Beau do a brief of their relationship.. not to exciting.. I was pretty disappointed..
Perfect little novella for Halloween-time. Ghosts, hauntings, vampires and immortals. Ghost, Maxine, got to meet her grandmother and save her father’s life and visit New Orleans and be part of the ghost tours - ironic, right? And she finally found love with her sexy vampire Beau. Fun read!
This was a really cute and interesting story. It was very unique and different from most vampire or ghost stories I've ever read, and I really liked it. I wish it was longer and delved into how Beau managed as a vampire, but I understand that it's a short story.
A great, quick story that can be read over your lunch break. It was both sweet and interesting in its take on ghosts and vampires. And even though it was short, both characters of Maxine and Beau are well developed and you can get a feel for them. The HEA was quite heart-warming.
Am looking forward to reading more from this author as I enjoyed the characters and the storyline so it's a well deserved five stars and I would recommend this book to everyone
