Rage
While young Jessie Colby cleans for Dexter Medical Industry, she accidentally stumbles over a man in chains who claims to be a hybrid between human and alien. His aggressive behavior frightens her, but she can’t just ignore his abuse, so she takes his picture and reports his fate to the media.
Ten years later, Jessie signs a contract to work as a doctor in the West-Colony on planet Eden, where the Alien Breeds live since their rescue. All those years she couldn’t forget the man in chains. But when she stands before him again, he is not happy at all to see her.
Years of abuse and pain lay behind Rage, but what tortures him most, is his memory of the beautiful young woman who worked for DMI. Even ten years after, she still hounds him in his sleep. Then she suddenly stands right in front of him. Finally he could make her pay for what she did to him, but when he has her at his mercy, killing her is the last thing on his mind. His beast wants her. But if he looses control of his alien side, the fragile human could end up hurt or dead.
The lieutenant took my hand and led me to the dance floor. He turned out to be a good dancer. With ease he whirled me across the dance floor so that people soon made room to watch us. I had more fun than I’ve had in a long time and was all smiles. My smile froze when I was suddenly ripped from the Lieutenant’s arms and collided with a hard body.
“Hey!”, Lieutenant Green said and stood up to Rage, who had pushed me behind him, and I realized with horror where this was going.
Not another fight!
“Jessie is off-limits,” Rage growled warningly. “Have I made myself clear? I'm taking her home now. She had too much to drink and I won’t let some son of a bitch think he can take advantage of her!”
“She’s a grown woman and doesn’t need a babysitter”, said Lieutenant Green. “Now fuck off!”
I grabbed Rage’s arm and forced myself between them.
“Please”, I said. “No pressure. Thank you for the dance, Lieutenant Green”, I said to the Lieutenant, then I turned to Rage. “If you want to take me home that’s fine, but we have to talk!”
Rage glanced at the lieutenant, then he nodded, and I breathed a sigh of relief. He grabbed me by the arm and led me to the door. Outside I tore myself away from him and glared at him angrily.
“What was that all about? Have you lost your mind?”
“You are drunk”, Rage replied, and grabbed me to pull me along with him.
Furiously I stumbled after him.
“So what”, I asked. “Why do you care if I’m drunk or not?”
I braced myself against his pull and he paused and stared at me.
“I’m not gonna let anyone take advantage of you, Jessie. I will tuck you into bed where you belong!”
I leaned against him and looked up.
“Are you going to keep me company in bed?” I asked, made brave by the alcohol.
“No”, Rage growled, but I could feel his erection as I pressed my body closer to his. He took a breath and I saw something flashing in his eyes.
“I want it, Rage”, I said in a hoarse voice and I meant every word of it. “Fuck me!”
“I said NO”, he growled and pushed me away to keep me at arm’s length. “You will go to bed, like I said, and get some sleep. I am the last one who would take advantage of your ... situation.”
“Situation?!” I exclaimed upset. “You think if I was sober, I wouldn’t want to fuck you?”
“You’re the most exhausting damn woman I’ve ever met”, he said pressingly.

I remember trying to read this a while ago and didn't like it at all. But now I've binged up almost all of Melody Adams books available on my book app and I'm completely lost in her story telling. This is still not one of her better ones but still an interesting love/smut with aliens and some other stuff. My book app seem to have a habit of only having two parts of a few series and not have the rest.not sure if it's due to translation problems as stated in one of the novellas. Will try to look for some of her works on Amazon next time I've got some money to spend there

This was the first book in this series and yet characters kept popping up suddenly without explanation or reason shouting At! Each! Other!! for some reason. Star, Passion, Blue, Sturdy... no idea who was who or why, so in the end DNF.
And no. I can't blame it on the translation. No one translates that badly. GOOGLE translate wouldn't mangle a story as badly as this one was executed.
Yes, mean girl is in the house. But this is unforgivable. Seriously.

Not good at all
This book was awful. The writing was juvenile, the grammar was atrocious, and almost half of the dialogue used exclamation points. And. Then. There. Were. All. The. Sentences. Like. This. I’m glad it was free. Aside from this needing major editing, the story also seemed like a rip-off of the New Species series. If the idea of this story appeals to you I would suggest that series instead. Or Lora Leigh’s Breeds series. Either one was better than this.

Jessie se convirtió en limpiadora para DMI a falta de un trabajo mejor, pero después de descubrir lo que esconden en el recinto ella no puede quedarse de brazos cruzados. Cuando todo es revelado, las personas encerradas liberadas y transportadas a un nuevo planeta para vivir libres Jessie siente que ha hecho algo bueno. Pero tiempo después se reencuentra con el hombre que la impulsó a salvarlos y está de todo menos agradecido con ella... O eso cree él.

This felt like a rip-off of the New Species by Laurann Dohner. It was also seemed to be a very poor translation with numerous typos and messed up words.
Some things were not explained very well, like how Jessie became a doctor and how the Alien-Breeds were created. Supposedly they are mixed with alien DNA...but what aliens? Where did they come from and where are they now?
The only reason I'm continuing with this series is that I'm hoping it gets better and I'm in withdrawal from the New Species...so I'm trying to get a fix.

Ja, ich schäme mich nicht zuzugeben, dass ich eine Schwäche für diese ganzen Mensch/Tier-Kreuzungen habe, wie ich sie aus der "Breeds" Serie von Lora Leigh oder der "New Species" Serie von Laurann Dohner kenne.
Die Idee mit den Alien/Mensch-Kreuzungen hat mich daher sehr gereizt. Leider kamen diese aber nicht an die Tiefe und Intensität der Breeds oder New Species ran. Teilweise kam mir das Buch eher wie eine mittelprächtige Fanfic für die New Species vor. Aber leider reicht es einfach nicht, aus Tier-DNS Alien-DNS zu machen und ansonsten eine fast gleiche Geschichte zu erzählen. Auch wurden mir hier Probleme und Widrigkeiten viiiiiiiiiiel zu schnell gelöst... Und wie ich schon erwähnte: Die Tiefe und Intensität der anderen Serien fehlte!!!
Da mir die Grundidee an und für sich aber sehr gefiel und ich schon wesentlich Schlimmeres gelesen habe, gebe ich diesem Buch gut gemeinte 3 Sterne.

Endless Rage
This book was a fast, wild ride from the first unexpected encounter to the fantastic HEA. The characters were wonderful and the way they overcame their fears to find their way together was heartwarming. I enjoyed the way the community banded together in a crisis and the way they became more than their beginnings. This book was a great first in series and I’m looking forward to reading more books by this author.

Una estrella porque esta autora claramente se fucilo Fury de las nuevas especies. Es casi una copia exacta de ese libro, y claramente fue publicado después, no puede salir con que solo se inspiro.
De hecho, comencé a leer el libro porque soy muy fan de las nuevas especies y esto se veía como una idea similar pero me decepciono mucho ver que solo es una copia.
Los hechos ocurren igual que en Fury, se conocen en el laboratorio, rescatan a los experimentos, les hacen una comunidad para que puedan vivir etc.
Lo que mas me molesto fue el hecho de que nos quieren vender que son mezcla de humanos y Aliens, pero nunca explican de que Alien ni el por qué, ni como afectaron su desarrollo y como es que los diferencian de los humanos mas allá de lo físico. De hecho, se menciona mucho que tienen partes salvajes e instintos primitivos causados por su parte alienigena, pero eso a mi no me hace sentido la verdad. No es un libro de 40 paginas, la autora se puede permitir un poco de profundidad en la historia.
En fin, termine el libro solo para descartar que la autora decidiera ser original en alguna parte de la trama.

This is really one of the worst books I read lately.
I actually read it in german (from what I saw in other reviews that doesn't really seem to matter though as the translation is not making it worse for once)
As I really loved Laurann Dohner - I thought it would be a good fit but it is actually a really awful copy in my eyes - and badly written ... it was a DNF and I still shudder thinking about the time wasted reading it.

The first book in the Alien Breed seris by an author I have not read before, and I want to read more in this series. Jessie Colby who is now a doctor met Rage ten years ago when he was in chains now that he is free,his name suits him. I enjoyed reading their story and would say this is a must read if you like alien stories. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I really enjoyed this book. Yes there were some issues but give them a break it was translated. I really would like to read the rest so here’s hoping the get the money to translate more.

Also an sich fand ich die Idee genial, da Alien Breeds an sich in der Form doch einfach mal was neues sind, obwohl das Grundschema (Regierung hält außerirdische) ja ein bekanntes Thema ist. Ich war total gespannt auf das Buch, der Klappentext und natürlich das Cover *räusper* haben mich angesprochen, leider wurde ich doch ziemlich enttäuscht.
Der Schreibstil ist jetzt nicht überragend schlecht, aber besonders gut ist er auch nicht, die Story liest sich doch Recht flüssig, dennoch ist es ziemlich ich sag mal platt geschrieben irgendwie.. nichts tiefgründiges, auch wenn es nur eine kurze Story ist, erwarte zumindest ich etwas tiefgründigeres, vor allem wenn es ne Reihe und kein Einzelband ist. Leider blieben die großen Gefühle in jeder Hinsicht aus. Die Erotischen Szenen waren sehr wenig und ziemlich platt geschrieben, gar nicht ansprechend in meinen Augen. Außerdem nervten die vielen Rechtschreibfehler (und ich bin keiner der eigentlich auf sowas achtet)
Es gab in meinen Augen kaum Action, alles ging einfach selbst für eine kurzgeschichte viel zu schnell mit Tagelangen Zeitsprüngen... Die Charaktäre sind ganz nett wobei mich persönlich gestört hat, das man schon so viel über jeden erfährt, z.b. pain... da er ja ein eigenes Buch bekommt finde ich total unnötig das man seine Story schon komplett im Vorfeld kennt.
Alles in allem wars jetzt nicht Grottenschlecht aber ein Hit war es auch nicht, ich sag mal, wer gerade nix zu lesen hat und was Zwischendrin lesen mag, ist es gut genug... Dennoch werde ich das zweite Buch lesen denk ich.

I enjoyed the developing relationship between Rage and Jessie. The wariness, misunderstandings, attraction all worked to keep me wondering how they were going to work things out. I liked the world of Eden, but wanted a little more information on how they got there. The 10 year jump right at the beginning of the story left me with more than a few questions. There's action enough to add to my interest and I was satisfied with the happy ending.
It could have used a good proofreader as there were times the errors pulled me out of the story for a bit. I received a review copy from BookSirens and am voluntarily leaving this review.

poor imitation
Felt like a rip off of the New Species series. Not as fleshed out as the other author. Sex scenes were lackluster and everything felt rushed.

Jessie Colby had worked as a cleaner for Dexter Medical Industries (DMI) for only a week and didn’t know her way around the large building yet. It felt like she was on the wrong level. She heard the roar of an animal but knew they used research animals, even though she wasn’t comfortable with that. But she needed this job. The roar sounded again, like whatever it was had to be large. She only cleaned offices, and there didn’t seem to be any here. But she swore the guy said Level U3. Then she heard a low growl and the rattle of chains! What did they have in here? She found cells and, instead of an animal, she saw a man inside! But not totally human – he had the eyes of a cat and large canine teeth. He threatened her and she was afraid – but she was also attracted in some way. She couldn’t just do nothing, so she took pictures of him with her phone and promised she would find a way to get him out of there. She couldn’t trust the police, so she would take the pictures to the press. She had to help him and any others they were holding there.
Jessie’s actions did get Rage, the alien hybrid she had encountered, and the rest of the Alien Breed released. But when they meet again on the planet Eden, his hostility is blatant! Rage mistakenly assumed that Jessie had been responsible for all the torture he had suffered and the beating he was given after she saw him at DMI. He was filled with anger, yet he was drawn to her too. She caused feelings in him and he feared he would lose control of his beast. But he would allow no man to touch her. She was his. Would he be able to resolve his confusion and conflict? Would he trust her and trust himself to not harm her?

Starts with mistaken identity…
While working as a cleaner at a lab facility, Jessie Colby discovers a male alien, Rage, being held and apparently experimented on. While threatened, Jessie felt the way he was being held was wrong and took the info to the press. Her actions led to his release as well as other ‘alien breeds’ who had endured torture and other weird experiments. During his imprisonment, Rage had heard a female voice giving orders—one he associated with Jessie. For ten years, his hostility towards her continued. At the same time, he also was developing feelings for her, feelings like one has towards a mate. During those same ten years, Jessie had gone on to finish medical school, and become a practicing doctor. She has accepted a new job as a physician at a facility on Eden, the planet where the alien hybrids were settled after their release. At a point early on, Rage sees her and attacks. Other ‘Breeds’ save her and Rage learns the truth. Rage is now free to recognize the mate pull, but he is afraid of (his size and nature) hurting her. While Jessie’s feelings for Rage are reciprocated, threats from elements around them endanger their coming together as well as menacing the settlement. This was an interesting, but not quite enthralling story, reminiscent of Laurann Dohner’s New Species series, but with its own events and outcomes. The couple eventually get their HEA and the series has a fair start, even though I wasn’t particularly impressed by the author’s writing skill or the editing. I read a review copy of this book and am providing my honest opinion.

She has accepted a new job as a physician at a facility on Eden, the planet where the alien hybrids were settled after their release. At a point early on, Rage sees her and attacks. Other ‘Breeds’ save her and Rage learns the truth. Rage is now free to recognize the mate pull, but he is afraid of (his size and nature) hurting her. While Jessie’s feelings for Rage are reciprocated, threats from elements around them endanger their coming together as well as menacing the settlement. This was an interesting, but not quite enthralling story, reminiscent of Laurann Dohner’s New Species series, but with its own events and outcomes. The couple eventually get their HEA and the series has a fair start, even though I wasn’t particularly impressed by the author’s writing skill or the editing. I read a review copy of this book and am providing my honest opinion.

Short read
Wow. A book full of action and pain. Rage really lived up to his name. I'm glad he realized the truth before he hurt Jessie. Jessie was tough to handle all that. I really enjoyed this book. I'm definitely reading the rest of the series!

I enjoyed reading this story very much about Rage and Jessie. Jessie works as a cleaner for Dexter Medical Industries (MDI). As Jessie is cleaning she hears a roar and goes to investigate. Jessie sees a beast-like man caged up that tells her he will kill her after he breeds with her. Of course, she does not know what he is talking about and takes his picture and leaves. Jessie sends the picture to the press, which uncovers the MDI experiments. Years later, Jessie is now a doctor and looking forward to her new job at New Haven on the planet Eden. On a tour of the settlement they stop at the clubhouse and order drinks, when Jessie goes to the bathroom Rage sees her and tries to choke her. Rage is pulled away but later sneaks to her room to kill her. Does he kill her? This has some twist and turns and steamy romance in this alien romance I enjoyed reading and reviewing. This has been compared to Fury by Laurann Dohner but there are differences. Example Jessie found Rage caged while working in a new job as a cleaner and Ellie was a undercover agent working as a nurse for a Medical company and taking tests on the subjects. He hates me, he hates me not. Rage. And alien breed that has been been manipulated medically to enhance regular features for science. It’s not really clear how or why they are created what the purpose is for the torture that they have in doored. Jesse, who was the cleaning lady at the time, accidentally came upon Rage. Bruh man was tied by chains to a wall and a cell that was just concrete. He growled, he snarled, he showed his fangs and thought that she was there to torture him. Even though he was attracted to her scent, she was not and promised to expose the company for what they were in order to help get him freed and the other ones who were under experiment. Fast forward 10 years later and Jesse is now a doctor. He is now very very pissed off that she was the one who caused his torture that almost killed him. It’s all the craziness that went on in the accident went on this book it was very good. A little confusing until bro man decided that he was mistaken about who was trying to kill him. There’s a couple twist interns that lead to an HEA in a few steamy interactions. The saga continues but there were no cliffhangers.

This series is started out when Jessie makes a wrong turn and stumbles onto a Science experiment gone wrong, in the form of a man who wasn't a man. She found Rage, and took pictures of him with the promise that she would save him. She did as promised and the Breeds were freed and given a home of their own.
Rage was tortured before they were finally saved, and took that anger against Jessie and held onto it. He felt betrayed, hurt, and angry with Jessie and that had built up over the last four years. Just to explode when he sees Jessie in Eden once again.
The two fight what's between them, Rage fighting it because he's terrified of hurting Jessie and Jessie is simply fighting it because she doesn't believe that Rage wants her and at the same time doesn't want anyone else to have her either.
The Breeds rise up after accusations were made against Rage that were false, and finally are given the chance to govern themselves.
I absolutely love this story, and can't wait to read the next books in this series!

Jessie had been working as a cleaner at Dexter Medical Industries (DMI) but is unable to remember if she was to cleaner level U2 or U3 and she goes to the later where she finds an Alien chained to a wall and with injuries that indicate he has been mistreated. Jessie takes pictures of him then pleads sickness to leave early and goes straight to the press with the pictures. This results in them being freed. Nearly ten years later Jessie now a doctor arrives at West-Colony, Eden where some of the Alien Breed live and is shocked at the reaction that the Alien she had found at DMI now hated her and wanted to kill her. Rage had been beaten for three days and had almost died. in his delirium he had heard a female voice saying to kill him and thought it was Jessie but when he grabs her he realizes he does not want to kill her but he does want her.

Melody Adams' Alein Breed series is translated into English for our reading pleasure. If you're reading this series in English I ask you to just forgive all grammar and editing issues. Then are NOT major and don't detract from the story at all. I would dang near call myself an expert on the judgment.
In some way this book reminds me of Lauranne Dohnner's New Species series but in no way enough to say that she borrowed the idea. There are just too many differences! What I do like is that although out government and some scientists have created an alien human hybrid breed the setting and timelines have changed. What I would have loved to see was an even half detailed explanation of how the original alien came to Earth to be captured in the first place.
Now what I also love about this is that if you are in for a longer more detailed read you can grab one of Dohnner's New Species books; if you're running short on time but still want to get a similar impact grab Adams' Alien Breed series. :)

Jessie started working for Dexter Medical Industries as a young woman, starting as a cleaner. She was assigned to clean offices, but discovered cages with hybrid human's in them, including Rage, who told her she better leave before he killed her...but she took pictures and went to the newspapers. The hybrids were rescued, several people involved with the experiments, imprisoned and the Alien Breeds were sent to another planet that were called Eden Colonies to live in peace. A few years later, Jessie cam to the Eden Colonies as a physician and met Rage again. He thought she was the reason for his suffering in captivity, but was reminded by others of the colony that she actually was the person responsible for freeing them...but you will need to read this story to see if Jessie and Rage can overcome their pasts to get a future together...Needs another edit for spelling and grammar. WOW what a brilliant read.
Jessie Colby gets the shock of her life when she is a cleaner at the Dexter Medical Industry. She hears a animal roaring, well she thinks it's an animal. What she finds is a man in chains. What she learns is that he is a Alien Breed. She quickly takes a photo so she can do something to help him.
10 Years later Jessie is working as a doctor in the West-Colony on planet Eden, where the Alien Breeds live since their rescue. And she comes face to face with the Man/Alien that started all this but its not the response she was hoping for.
This is a fantastic read. I really enjoyed Rage and Jessies story. Its an emotional read full of miscommunications and misunderstandings.
I salute Jessies strengths to go after what she wants!! you go girl!!!!

A enjoyable, interesting alien romance with a slightly dark undertone. The plot is fairly well-written & interesting with some unexpected situations. The characters are likable & are attracted to each other even though they are inclined to be a bit confrontational.

Unfortunately Rage believes she was responsible for his almost being beaten to death after their meeting so when they meet on the new planet he is enraged and confused. Jessie and Rage have to work through many issues to find their way to each other and get their HEA.
