As a long-time fan of the author, I was disappointed to learn she had passed away. I don't know if this is her last book or not, but I'm glad I was granted a copy in exchange for an honest review.

To some, this book may come across as a broad approach to dragon magic. Others may see this volume as a pile of crap. I think it is a good introductory piece and the artistically and spiritually inclined can all learn something from it. There is a lot of information to take in, and how one uses it is up to the individual obviously. While I'm not sure that I can use any of this information in my spiritual practices, I believe in being knowledgable about more than what we practise.
If the reader keeps an open mind, they might find that they learn something from this book. And no matter what we believe, knowledge never hurt anyone.

3 stars because I simply enjoyed the book. Reading this you will learn about dragon clans, what they looks like, what they do. How to communicate and work with dragons, rules of engagement and such. There is also a lot of beginner magick outlined, which is a bit annoying because I don't think you should work with dragons until you have some experience, even the author agrees, but there's no rule saying you can't. While I think the rules of engagement are true and useful, and descriptions helpful, I wouldn't take this as an absolute, remember to explore and be open minded. Her guided meditations are good starter templates but use your imagination and heart.

This is a great book for anyone who's interested in working with dragons in a magickal way. The book is very detailed, explains and covers just about every aspect of working with them.

The author gives you background information, warnings about working with dragons and what approach to take to ensure the most success. The book provides you with meditations, clans, spells, candle and crystal use and more. This is a great starting point for newbies and gives them an amazing gateway to more advances uses in the future.

I'd like to thank NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. I love the use of dragons in magick. They bring such wonder and enlightenment. There is just something about dragons that draws me in. This books is broken up in to eleven chapters that take you through the steps of summoning and bonding with dragons for magickal purposes. It tells you facts and misconceptions about dragons. It is a great resource to use and I will be going back to time and time again.

I sincerely appreciate that although this book was written with the beginner in mind, this isn't necessarily a book for beginners.

There were some typos throughout, and I even feel like there could have been some other publishing changes when it comes to layout and flow of the book.

But I LOVE the drawings of the dragons. There are plenty of great meditations and spellwork - and the appendix in the back is worth the pricetag alone.

I preordered this having read and enjoyed the other two books in the series. I was not happy to discover that there is barely no new material in it and in fact that the first chapter is exactly the same as that of Dancing with dragons. A huge disappointment.

Her books are very Wiccan-esque. And a lot of them read like a Marvel comic when she talks about Multiverses and what-not. There are occasional little tidbits that seem profound but for the most part take everything she says with a grain of salt.

This is such a fantastic book on dragons! I didn’t know much on the topic and she explains this quite well. I’m still a bit confused on the topic but this is a great resource for beginners just starting out.

Good content. Problematic suggestion of white sage and use of the ceremony Smudging.

As I have read this book before I am rereading it. I so want to get the other books in this series because I feel like I'm missing a ton.

You can always count on a great and informative book from D.J. Conway. This book is about how to work with the Dragons and the Dragon Clans for their strengths and magic. I have never worked with them but I know a very powerful witch who does. This book is for beginners and the experienced as well. Until I read this book, I had no idea of how to use Dragons for magic. I'm glad that it started from the basics and goes into the deeper meanings. It's a beautiful, well written book that is for anyone who will open their minds to accept it. It's a great resource book, one that should be on every practitioners shelf. I loved it and will recommend it to all my friends. So excited to have been able to read it. I received this book from Net Galley and Llewellyn Publishing for a honest review. I voluntarily read this great book.

I love DJ Conway! The metaphysical book world will not be the same without her. Being able to read this amazing book was a real blessing. I didn’t know there was so much about dragons that I didn’t know. A great resource book to be sure.
I received a free review copy from the publisher in exchange for my honest unedited feedback.
