Overall I did enjoy the series, was super invested in the first few sets of books but my interest definitely dipped towards the middle and it was hard for me to pick up and finish the end.

The biggest thing that turned me off about anything in this series was Amels narrative. It started to get annoying how whiny and doubtful she was so any conversation she had with her dragon was him encouraging her and her going NO I CANT IM SO WEAK AND CRIPPLED I CANT, and then she does. And then something else happens that she has to do and OH NO I CANT I CANT I CANT, ok I did it. And this is just how it goes the entire series..

Raoclan is for sure the highlight of all the books and I love how he was written. Agree with some other comments that the romance felt rushed and unnecessary. The final battle also didn’t come off as impactful as I would have wanted/expected it to? We barely got to see Starie and Savette interact at the culmination of the fight to save the literal world and it’s kind of crazy to me that the Trogs showed up to help and then just died? Also what happened to the Dark Prince? At some point I just forgot where he went and what he was doing until he showed up again at the end.

Otherwise I did really like the world building and I enjoyed everything that had to do with the dragons!

Dragon School – Episodes 16-20

Wow-what a riveting ending to this series. Sarah K. Wilson has a real gift for making the final chapters feel raw and real. She fills them with fear, death, strength, loss, danger, and hope, all while letting the characters shine with confidence and heart. Everything felt high-stakes and emotionally charged right to the last page.

I loved that Amel and Leng finally married, and I was genuinely shocked when she became the Dominia. Even more powerful was her determination to hold on to her true love while stepping into such an enormous role. Raoclan as the dragons prince, was steadfast in his loyalty to Amel even after losing both of his eyes, which was deeply moving—his bond with Amel never wavered. And Jalla becoming her true ally and swearing an oath to keep the peace gave the ending a sense of hope and hard-won stability.

This was a gripping, page-turning conclusion, and it truly redeemed the previous installment, which had left me uncertain. Episodes 16–20 brought everything together in a way that felt satisfying, dramatic, and emotionally earned. A wonderful and rewarding finish.

This series is a true testament to good standing against evil—an especially meaningful and timely read in today’s world.

Just fantastic

This series is everything you could ever want out of a fantasy. I don't do YA/NA because I find the characters annoying but the trials and tribulations all make sense and make sure a great epic. I wouldn't call it a HEA any more than Star Wars is - this is a fantasy opera that takes you through the human experience.

I really enjoy stories that center around nurodivergent and differently-abled characters because it's so rare. The MFC is so ending because she's not strong - she never physically compensates to make her equal with her peers, she's not particularly clever, has a special skill or is a great beauty. She's perfectly ordinary in every way which makes her so unique.

The MMC is the perfect supporting cast - he's there and moves the story along but we don't see things from his point of view. The story definitely needs him however as he is a catalyst for a lot of the action.

Some characters who seem major die or just never reappear and others who seem minor make it to the end - it's really interesting because it makes sense but doesn't follow normal tropes.

The FMC was annoying at times but all people are. The only thing that would make this better would be multiple POVs. The plot takes you all over this world, and often without the FMC, so as a reader so many unanswered questions remain.

This series should really be broken into three maybe four books so the next set of characters have their own series

A very enjoyable weed

Dragon school is a complete series of books. Several 1000 pages, long and a pretty long read to read all of it is a cliffhanger between volumes, and that's something I really don't like it's almost as if the writer Is paid by woraccount and sometimes the story dragged here and there, even though the action kept going kept going get going, but but it was too predictable to have set backs along the way, because there's still too many pages left to read.
Other than that, the book was very good, it was fast page. It had a different perspective on things, and the ending is very surprising. The ending is oinf course, I knew that all would be well in the end, because that's the nature of a good story like this is how you get to the end that's important and this one had a very interesting twist that you will not predict. Enjoy the read

After finishing the first box set in this series I needed to continue with this storyline and see it to the end. I got the rest of the series on KU and went through them all in just a few days.....I could not put this story down and had a hard time diverting my focus even for things which I needed to do...like sleep and eat. Now that I have finished this series I'm not sure exactly how I fell about the ending....in some ways it is a good place to end the series, but also allows for more to be added in the future based off the characters and where everything fell into place. I sincerely hope there will be more from this series, especially about Amel, Leng and both of their dragons!

Great series

There is so much in the story. It captured me from the beginning and held me. I like that the books are relatively small since there are 20 books and you really need to read them all for a complete story. The individual books follow each other and are definitely not stand alone books. What I really loved about the story are the themes. Themes of true friendship, honesty, and overcoming obstacles. I love how the author uses a disabled girl who learns to see beyond her disability and her dragon who helps her to see herself differently. It really is a great stories, so much so I bought it for my teen grandson.

Good series

I enjoyed the series over all. It could have used some more editing, but it wasn't bad, just annoying when it pulled me from the story because I didn't understand what was being said some time. Raolcan was probably my favorite character., but there were lots of great ones. The romance was super rushed at first and then just awkward. The action was continuous and even though a few things frustrated me/ I thought there were simpler solutions, it held my attention enough that I really wanted to finish the series.

I really enjoyed the series, kept me interested. Loved Amel, she seemed like a real person, having a disability but goes on with her dream & lives her live with her disability. She is a hero, scared, worried, doubting herself but going ahead & doing what must be done. You can relate to her where she is has a disability or not. I would recommend this series to anyone. There is love & romance but a younger person can read it without parents having to worry about that.

These last five books have lots and lots of action cranked up to such a high level. Tense and adrenaline packed . Very dramatic and chaotic for the characters at times . But you are given a spark of hope.

What a magnificent finale to a brilliant series. I have so enjoyed the journey and in every way possible this series have been magical. It has been a privilege to read and a sorrow to finish.

I can honestly put my hand on my heart and say I would recommend this series in a heartbeat.

The Dragon School Series is Fast paced and exciting. An interesting world, society with good characters and a likable main character. A good series and an epic read. The full series can be read via the omnibus of books and the first 4 are dragon school which follow Amel and her Dragon Raolcan as they are thrown into the turmoil of their society at war. The author isn't afraid to kill off characters and the plot is excellent. Great young adult but I'm 48 and I enjoyed it.

Excellent story but too many typos.

I enjoyed the story line and the pace of the story. I read the first series from Prime and liked it enough to buy the rest. Sadly, the second and third series have quite a few typographical errors. They became irritating enough that l just wanted the story to end. The fourth series was as well written as the first but by then I had lost interest. Grammar and punctuation should still be important.

Great Series!

This ending of the " Dragon School" books is as fraught with danger, pure evil, deception and death. Our Heroine Amel, along with her Hero dragon Raolcan are fighting together as always. They are trying to save those they love, and their home. Come and read their adventure! It is being hailed as the best dragon riding story out there, and I agree, so don't miss out on this addictive tale!

great adventure

These books were so good. It was adventure to the end. One area about threw the book but ya know kindle needs to stay intact. Amel and Raolcan will bring laughs while saving nations. May be a YA genre but read it even as adult, it’s fun and hello DRAGONS! Her own twist on dragon lore a comparable to the great Ann McCaffery.

Not Every Story Is Predictable

The hits keep coming. Hope barely there. From frying pan to fire. Man, this is like life. Not what you want to happen, frustrating to seem like you’re never going to get ahead, and the realization that it isn’t always about you. You have to make sacrifices for others. It’s so good.

Enjoyable

This was a very enjoyable tale when clumped into a box set. I enjoyed the love and the characters. The ending surprised me. The love story...didn't really do it for me. But it was ok and I was rooting for them some. I loved the dragons. That was fun.

Triumph arising from pain and heartache and despair

A needed diversion from the shock and upheaval that is my life at the moment. A shattering denouement full of deepest pain and loss - to acceptance, calm and victory over the darkness.

Ms.Wilson has me in her thrall

No plot summaries from me just an exhortation to get book one, grab a snack and some water to keep you alive until you surface to buy book 2. Epic saga of dragons and humanity. I off to get the next installment.

loved the ENTIRE series!

This was a really great series. I loved that the episodes were bundled into box sets-4 in all. There are a total of 10 books, also referred to as episodes. Each is a unique piece to the ongoing action and the ultimate conclusion. The different facets of the story really keep you intrigued and fills the story with drama. The action is in battles of the heart, interpersonal relationships as well as the battles on the ground and in the sky. The dragons are awesome, especially Raoclan. He is a perfect pairing to the main character. But I love how different the personalities are of the dragons, just like humans. I do wish we’d had more of her school classmates further toward the end of the series but I also understand one can only bring so many characters into the fold at once. It’s just hard to reckon that she was basically the only new student to have been there at the end but in the same regards, I suppose having any of those students make it that far was a miracle in itself. Besides…none of them had a Raoclan type of dragon. He’s one of a kind & so full of humor! The conclusion is action packed and certainly filled with shock and sadness at the death tally and its cost, especially the more personal losses but it also brings a newfound hope, love
& friendships. The future of the Dominion & the world seems bright.
I loved that this series could be read by adults but also by kids because it’s a story without the typical cursing or sex scenes that are so prevalent these days. This is a story to be enjoyed by all & gladly, wholeheartedly recommended to friends, family & acquaintances. Kudus to this author on a job well done.

All our favorites are back in this final set. There is literally too much going on to get into. Blood sisters, traitors, evil, good, true love, sacrifice, revenge, ifrits....and so much more. I can't say enough about how the author wrapped up this series. There were some seriously good twists, and some things that I expected. Even the things that I expected didn't happen exactly as I expected them to.

I love the conclusion to several aspects of this that I cannot say. The romance angle was great, the salvation was heartbreakingly wonderful, the usurping amazingly done. There were lots of losses and plenty of heart stopping moments. The end battle was wonderfully horrible and so well described that I could see it playing out in front of my eyes. There isn't anything about this book that I can complain about. My kids and I listened to the whole series, start to finish and when it was over, we were all a little lost and sad.

Absolutely a 5/5.

Thank you to the author for the review copy of this audiobook. I received this book in exchange for an honest review and the opinions stated above are 100% mine.

Seat gripping, jaw clenching, one of a kind adventure.

I...... I am not sure what to say. This was,.. Just WOW. I binge read this entire serious in a matter of a week. I could not put this story down for the life of me. This was wholesome and great. I was there in this story like I was in the books. I was swept away with the utter intensity sown into these pages. I would often find myself cursing into the air and talking at nothing in particular for "justice and truth" to finally break through and give the characters respite. There is a lot going on here. This is definitely a bumpy ride. You better "strap in" and hope your up for the "flight" of this story. Truly an intricate masterpiece. The characters have a pretty good character plot to them. If there is a continuation of this story I would most definitely read it. I want to know how things work out. These characters have been brought to life now that I have read this story and I hope this is not the end I hope for more.

What a terrible price paid by humans and dragons in the battle of good against evil.

I loved the first three books and this one started with hope even though horrible evil was growing unchecked. However, there is so much disrepair, pain, and suffering and so many good lives lost and so much damage done to those who still live. Railway, the Prince of Dragons and Amel, his human dragon rider have suffered terribly and given so much in this battle and still evil continues to defeat the Lightbringers and the Dominion. So many lives lost and so much suffering that all seems hopeless. Selfless love and complete sacrifice at last salvage peace in this country that has been torn completely apart by horrible evil and horrendous war. Now that lives have been forever changed, the work of rebuilding must begin. Also a new pact must be made between the Dominion and this falls to Amelia and her beloved Raolcan, the purple Prince of Dragons.

The conclusion of the Dragon School Series

This omnibus concluded the Dragon School Series. I found parts of it very detailed with battles. Some people will love that. For me, it was a bit much. I kind of wanted to just finish up the story already. I liked how much Amel has grown through this series. I am still not a fan of how Amel almost never speaks directly to her dragon. I find it very awkward. However, the story was good enough that I was usually able to ignore this quirk. I did like how this series, that I had invested so much time in, ended. I was surprised and pleased with the ending.

Love and Despise Endings…. That Is Life and Truth

Go eat feet, as Raolcan says. I don’t quote it as a negative phrase, but it does sum up a lot of things, including a dragon’s never ending, bottomless even, well of intelligence, surprises and laughter.

The whole series was wonderful, and I’m forever glad for the read. I am also happy that there are more stories to come in this world as written by the talented Sarah Wilson.

Read everything she writes. I doubt anything would be disappointing. I’m on to the next set of new folks in the Chameleon series.

Enjoy!
And thank you for the stories, Sarah Wilson!

Outstanding series

Sarah, you outdid yourself with this series! I normally review after I read the first story, but I got hooked so I read the second and the third... well let's just say I didn't stop reading until volume 20! There were several late nights but I made it. I like how you interwove the story with the prophecy and married them up so even I could understand them. Will she ever write her own copy? LOL Keep writing like that and I'll be broke in no time! Thank you for the story. Keep smiling!

Amazing Ending

Well all I can say is WOW! This whole series kept me on the edge, laughing, crying and really wanting to be chosen by Amel's snarky dragon. It is rare when I find a series that I would love to see made into a film, and wish someone would read this series and make an Oscar winning, Lord of the Rings, type movie. Hopefully someone will make that happen. Thank you, Sarah Wilson, for making my dragon riding dream a reality. Who knows, maybe I'll try my hand at screen play writing!

Well it's over......

I luved the ending. But that's all I will say about it!! I could not have planned a better ending if I tried. I'm looking forward to the next series from this author. I luv the way she tells a story. Just the right amount of adventure, romance and lots of dragons. You can never have too many dragons. I am sure that they once roamed this world and I think Sarah must have found a set of their encyclopedias and used to make her stories so very, very good!!!! Highly recommended for all.

A crazy ride with a happy ending!!

They are losing the war and it seems like there's nothing that they can do to change the outcome. There have been many acts of courage, remarkable acts of bravery, and insurmountable situations overcome!! The Chosen One and the impostor are moving closer to each other, knowing that theirs will be the deciding battle for control of all. Amel and crew are not to be counted out of the action either. For they will surprise and amaze in astounding ways!!!
