My biggest concern was receiving information that’s been filtered by someone else. Until I read the actual studies I’ll be a bit skeptical about the info presented.

That being said, there is a lot of useful information here. The memory and student behavior sections were most interesting to me. Learning about interleaving, elaborative questioning, and the importance of converting intentions into positive behaviors will have an impact on how I approach my learning as well as how I teach.

The format is catches your attention. The information is structured in a smooth manner and it’s explained in a simple way. Definitely a good starting point for a resource library.

Book 29 of 70 of 2019: I am a research junkie: and I love to cite and promote what educational research says about our practice. This book cites 77 potent research strides that any and every educator should know. Distilling the study down into its salient points, this book will help principals and educational leaders and teachers know what’s what in education at a glance, and in as little as 5 minutes a day. A handy compendium for any desk or bookshelf.

Outstanding book. A great way for teachers to understand some of the science behind learning. The comic book format makes it quick and easy to read. The obvious stuff like sleep and breakfast were important too.

I love learning, I love words, lots of words but infographics are sublime. And this book does them so well that even my year 8 students were interested.
