Jolie Day has written a compelling story, a definite five-star tale. Mira was eight years old when her father was murdered. She always knew Connor was the one responsible but he was freed for lack of evidence. She is now twenty-five and determined to find a way to prove that Connor is guilty. She soon discovers that she is in over her head but is even more determined and too independent to admit it. The story is exciting, full of intrigue, secrets, lies, and twists. Just when you think you have it figured out, a new twist hits you. If you like a good mystery that keeps you on the edge of your seat, then this book is for you. I highly recommend it. Outlaw- Max is a man of mystery and he takes Regina as his own while he is in town to settle a score for his father that was murdered. There are twists and turns you never see coming. Intrigue in every chapter. Score - is book 3 and it too is loaded with surprises, twists, and suspense. It is also a very intense romance between Marc and Lauren ( this was my favorite ). Shark - book 4 was not a mystery but it was an interesting story about a rise to the top after a devastating blow to a smart, strong woman, Melanie. She overcame her plunge to the bottom of despair and rose to come out on top with her new partner Aiden. Hard Deal - book 5 Brooke was working at a casino. Her father was a retired policeman that had been injured and was paralyzed. Tony was the owner of the casino and took a special interest in his employees. He especially took a protective stance with Brooke. There are lots of shady deals concerning the casino but the mystery was solved in the ending. I recommend this set by Jolie Day if you like intriguing mysteries.

Wow!!! This kept me on my toes. The unsolved mystery & the sexual tension between the alleged killer and the now grown “little” girl that he tried to protect. Connor is so serious with insurmountable strength to be able to rise above his childhood regardless of how he is treated & talked about. Mira is smart, stubborn & determined to solve this dangerous mystery. Their story is so captivating that I was up in the wee hours trying to finish it 🙂

Outlaw 4*
Two pretty strong-willed characters, neither wanting a relationship, both undeniable drawn to one another. His past brings danger into her livelihood, testing their mindsets. Their story will draw you into their world as they battle their attraction and his enemy. Takes a strong woman to handle a tough biker.
Score 5*
Excellent romantic suspense. Marc is all tough guy yet he is the salve to all of this doctors wounds. Lauren is very brave, most of the time, but she knows she is tiptoeing through life on borrowed time. Very well-written story that touches on a very sensitive topic yet brings hope and new life to a woman that spirit has almost been completely broken by a man that "loved" her. The emotional element is there but not overdone to point of sucking all the happy moments out of their story. Marc is just amazing, he is upfront with her, very patient and compassionate. They just click and I think because he accepts her, as is, she is revitalized to live life outside the cage instead of inside her personal prison.
Shark 4*
Very entertaining read. Shark gets his bait, his plan isn't a smooth one but his is patient. Melanie is young and her career is in its infancy, she is so driven to succeed that she can't really see, she is very smart but success takes time. Aiden thinks her "time" is up, lol. She is stubborn and a little immature at times. Regardless of Aiden's method, he is following his heart.

Boss: Hard Deal 5*
Very good account of when your past comes back full circle to haunt you. Author matched Tony up with his exact opposite, Brooke has a squeaky clean reputation, mainly because her Dad is an ex-cop whose borderline too possessive of his daughter. Tony is a smart business man with street smarts and very straight-forward, Brooke does a decent job dealing with the dangerous challenges they very quickly face. Fast paced, suspenseful and sexy love story. Great supporting characters, I really hope the author will add to their story by writing about the mysterious Aiden & of course more on her friend, Tessa.

Saint or Sinner
I loved Connor. He was a man of many talents. He also isn't afraid of very much. Until he runs across Mira again. He is determined to find out what happened 17 years ago and to keep Mira alive at the same time. Every time I thought I figured it out, there was more.

Outlaw
Regina is a no nonsense bar owner. Max is a bad ass biker and former member of the deadly Hells Seven motorcycle club. He talks his way into renting one of Regina's rooms over the bar and sparks start to fly. Max is back in town to get vengeance for his father's murder and the decline of his mother. Regina just wants a good time with no strings. Boy, did they both get more than they were looking for.

Lauren has been running from an abusive ex and left her job as a trauma surgeon in the city for life as a small town doctor. When Marc literally lands in front of her house she's compelled to help him. He's the kind of man that's drool worthy and he wants to help her. Everything seems to be great until the ex shows up.

I liked the story line and the characters were enjoyable. I had some problems with a few things though. Melanie was supposed to be the top of her class at Harvard, yet she didn't have an attorney overlooking the papers on her first major deal by herself. Then she has hateful half-siblings that have done nothing but put her and her mother down and took money from her that now want to be her bestie. She has had nothing but honesty and help from Aiden from the start, but she still assumes the worst about him. Aiden, to me, had the patience of Job with her and her yo-yo attitude. I liked the book and loved Aiden.

Hard Deal
I loved the whirlwind that was Tony and the way he looks out for his employees. Brooke has never worked, after just completing college, and her first job is as a dealer at a casino. Her dad is a retired cop and a bit over-protective. I do understand her not wanting to worry her dad, but I was not fond of the way he treated her like a tween and she just cowed down and didn't stand up for herself. Each and every time she was with Tony he was wonderful with her and never treated her cheaply or mean. I didn't like that she immediately dismissed Tony's actions and thought the worst of him when she learned about his past. I mean she could have at least had a conversation with him. I did really like the way the story ended, but if it were me I would have still been peeved.

I loved these books. They are exciting, scary, funny, sexy and heart-warming. Everything I look for in a book. I volunteered to read an advanced reader copy and am under no obligation to leave this review.

The bad boys come out to play in this exciting and thrilling book set, as I have read all of them before I will just paste my individual review of each book below instead of an overall review.

Saint or Sinner

The tragedy that befalls a young girl will forever be with her until the truth comes out and Mira has been carrying this burden for too long.

Coming back home she is faced with hard truth, lies, deception, threats to her life and her nemesis, but all is not as her brain remembers as her father’s life is unveiled and the truth comes out.

OUTLAW

What’s not to love about MC romance, but this is in a different context as Max was out of the MC and it had come at a high cost to him and his family. Still chasing after his shadows but time has come for him to man up and face his nemesis.

The characters were easy to emphasize with and easy to fall in love with.

As for the ending makes me believe that there is a follow up to the last character introduced at the end and just can’t wait to find out what he is all about. And will it be brandy or Carol that gets lucky!!!!!!!!!

Score

Phew Marcus is one guy with stamina, both him and Lauren set the pages alight with their chemistry.

Be prepared for a surprise unveiling as frankly I did not expect the turn of events, just gotta love romance with a touch of mystery.

Jack, Lauren’s ex-husband is one sick SOB, putting her through the mill and thinking that what he is doing is acceptable. Sometimes wonder at the type of lawyers who represent characters like him, how do they sleep at night.

Shark

What a captivating read this was as we got to know more and more about Aiden and Melanie’s family dynamics you just can’t help routing for them to get the happily ever after.

With siblings like Mel had, no one needs enemies as they are the lowest of the low and I was surprised that she even game them the time of day as such greed is uncalled for. But anyway, ill got gains have a way of disappearing without impact because I wonder how the tables turned after their stunt and it’s a mystery.

Have a read it will be worth your time for sure.

Hard Deal

Never judge a book by its cover comes to mind when I got to the near end of this book, we should always give people the benefit of doubt before passing judgement.

Anthony clearly had the stakes highly against him and Brooke was one lucky girl.

If you love mob stories, I highly recommend this one.

Saint or Sinner
Be prepared to sacrifice sleep for this story – I did. There are so many devious twists and turns in this plot that you never know who to trust. By the end I no longer even trusted myself. The sweet second chance at the romance between Connor and Mira that, initially never had a chance, provides an interesting balance against the tangled murder-mystery she’s trying to solve. I didn’t find the solution particularly surprising, but it also wasn’t obvious. I adore a mystery that doesn’t allow me to out-think the plot. This one hurtles along at such a break-neck pace that all I could do was hang on for the ride.
SCORE
I hadn't read the original novella that became this book. It's certainly not what I expect from your typical MC romance. This book covers a lot of ground; heartbreak, abuse, deceit. At times, it reads more like a thriller than a standard romance novel. However you classify this book, it kept me turning pages, desperate to find out how it would end. After everything she's survived, Lauren is such a strong woman. I'm in awe of her ability to carry on her day-to-day life. And Marc has so many different facets to his character that even now that the book is over I'm still pretty sure we don't know him yet. I look forward to seeing what the author has for us next.
Taken (aka Shark)
This reads a lot like a second-chance romance even though Mel and Aiden never even got a first chance because her father stood in the way. Normally I adore a split perspective, but I think having this book told from only Melanie’s point of view worked perfectly. When everything starts going sideways, we feel what she feels and that makes for a very impactful story. I loved watching the chemistry between these two develop as the sparks lit up the air around them. We never quite know exactly what’s going on, which made Me desperate to reach the end to see how it would all play out.
BOSS: Hard Deal
A fun, sweet and sexy office romance with a casino/mafia twist. The chemistry between Brooke and Tony is off the charts and I loved watching the tender way Tony looks out for her and cherishes her. The story takes a couple of wonderfully unexpected twists that take this new love on a journey of justice and vengeance.

I was lucky enough to have read and reviewed four of these books previously.

Saint or Sinner:
I am so enamoured of Jolie Day’s ability to create characters that are both complex and so totally relatable. This story will take you on a journey of suspense and intrigue coupled with a tale of second chances, forgiveness & absolution when the truth is finally revealed.

Outlaw:
Max originally comes across as being really arrogant jerk but as he & Reggie get to know each other the arrogance turns out to be pain and a determination for revenge at the cost of all else. Reggie is happy running her pub and keeping things casual with any "romantic" interests but the chemistry between them is unmistakable but not just chemistry, they bring something out of each other that neither was expecting or even wanting. I loved Reggie & Max, they are great characters with a lot of depth and the story is more than revenge, its about finding out the truth and realising that revenge isn't all its cracked up to be and there is more that makes life worth living.

Score:
Lauren and Marc are both trying to outrun their pasts when Marc, quite literally, crashes into Lauren's life. Their attraction is instant and undeniable but their attraction is much more than just physical but when Lauren's past come calling will Marc be able to protect her and will their emotional bond be strong enough to overcome secrets coming to light? Read it and find out, you won't be sorry.

Hard Deal:
Ms Day never fails to entertain. I especially love the vibrancy of the characters and the story is not only entertaining but also asks the question, what are you willing to accept in a prospective partner and how much baggage is too much? Those are the questions that Brooke has to answer for herself before she and Tony can ever hope to build a future together but with Tony's past it might be harder than she imagined. This is a really great read with a goodly amount of steam, some intrigue and a great love story.

This is a highly enjoyable anthology of very engaging, intriguing romances. I highly recommend this very appealing group of stories.

SAINT AND SINNER is an intense, compelling, suspenseful romance. The character development is solid, effortlessly drawing you into the lives of all the characters. There’s intrigue, emotions, and romance. Once you start reading, you will find it hard to put down.

OUTLAW is an engaging, fast-paced romance full of emotions, drama, and steamy passion. The characters are well-developed and appealing. Regina and Max’s story follows quite a journey of twists and turns which leads to an unexpected climax. It’s a very interesting and an enjoyable tale.

SCORE is a roller coaster ride full of emotions, drama, some suspense, and plenty of steamy passion. The characters are well-developed and appealing. Lauren and Marc’s story is a passionate journey with ups and downs and some twists and turns which will keep you engaged from beginning to end.

SHARK is a very good, sound romance. Aiden has loved Melanie for years and finally has a chance to be with her. Melanie cared for Aiden when she first met him, but it is years before he comes back into her life. Reaching a HEA has its ups and downs but getting there is the best of journeys. This story is well written with solid, relatable characters and a strong point of view. It is an easy, engaging, and enjoyable read.

HARD DEAL is an engaging, fast-paced romance full of emotions, drama, and steamy passion. The characters are well-developed and appealing. Brooke and Anthony’s story is complicated and follows quite a trail of ups and downs. When some unexpected truths come out Brooke finds herself in a dangerous situation from which only Anthony can save her. It’s a very interesting and an enjoyable tale.

Saint or Sinner - An exceptional read! It is a fast pace page-turner that is action-packed with danger around every corner, twists and turns, suspense and murder. The characters – Mira and Connor - are perfect, strong and intriguing. The story is well written with a well-developed storyline that is very interesting, consistent and relatable. There isn’t a dull page in this story. I really enjoyed reading this book!

Outlaw – A really enjoyable and exciting read. An on the edge of your seat read; the storyline is filled with intrigue, suspense, and revenge. Loveable characters, the chemistry between them instant potent, and off the charts. Quite enjoyable!

Score – A fast paced enjoyable on the edge of your seat read. It is action-packed with twists and turns and emotional ups and downs. The characters are complex and strong with the chemistry between them off the charts. A very satisfying read!

Hard Deal - This is a beautiful, sweet story. The plot is consistent and well developed; I was drawn in from the very first page and stayed captivated until the end. Brooke and Tony together is a great match – though I would have liked to read some of the story from Tony’s POV. The story is a page turner, moves along at brisk pace and there is enough drama to leave you wanting more.

Saint or Sinner...I just loved this book it was a really well-written mystery/romance I was pulled right into the story and just could not stop reading. It does start a little slow, but don't give up because once it picks up you will be hooked. A super read with plenty of twists and turns that kept me guessing right until the very end.
Outlaw... This was another great read the storyline was great and Max and Regina were great characters with lots of chemistry. I enjoy a good fake relationship and this one did not disappoint a good read I enjoyed it.
SCORE... This had a really interesting plot it was well written and held my attention all the way through I really liked both Marc and Lauren and enjoyed getting to know them these two were hot together, a super read that you won't want to put down.
Taken...Was a hot and steamy read and pulled me right in with plenty of twists and turns I quickly found myself hooked and reading late into the night. I really liked Aiden but it did take me a while to warm to Melanie overall I really liked it.
Hard Deal...I really enjoyed Brooke and Anthony's story that had lots of chemistry which made for a super hot read. He is the bad boy casino owner and she is a cops daughter, she gets a top at the casino and first meets Anthony when he rescues her when someone tries to grab her in the parking lot. These two were just great together and things are going great until she suspects he is tied to the mob.A really good read I really enjoyed it

Lawless is a box set of five books; this review is for the first two. Jolie Day writes wonderfully complicated stories about complex men struggling to do the right thing and strong, independent women who love them as they are.

Saint or Sinner
This was a fantastic book. Mira’s character captivated me from the start and once she began interacting with Connor the story just got better. The mystery of who killed Mira’s dad was intriguing with the drama kept at an edge of your seat level. The multi-layered emotional connection between Mira and Connor and Mira’s complicated memories and feelings toward her family make this book extra special.

Outlaw
Regina owns and runs her parents’ bar, left to her when they died six years ago. She’s getting along fine and has no desire for any relationship longer than an occasional night or two with a drifter staying in one of her rental rooms. Max breezes into town looking for the man he believes killed his father. He takes a room at Regina’s and sparks quickly begin to fly. Neither of these cautious people wants anything serious but they can’t stop themselves. As Max gets more involved in his plan of revenge Regina finds herself drawn into the conflict also. The chemistry between the two is well depicted and Regina’s interactions with her waitress and patrons is both fun and revealing.

Jolie Day writes exciting stories about steamy bad boys with big hearts that will make you swoon.

Book 1: Saint or Sinner
Jolie Day has a knack for writing amazing stories that you can't put down before you finish. And this is no different.

Book 2: Outlaw
If you enjoy your read with a strong beautiful woman and a bad boy biker with revenge on his mind, you'll love this one. The characters were well developed and the chemistry between Max and Regina is captivating and make you root for a beautiful HEA all the way through.

Book 3: Score
Lauren has moved from her past, to fell safe and secure, and stays away from men. But when Marc, a ruggedly handsome biker, practically lands on her lawn, she might have to reconsider.
This read is an enthralling and intriguing romantic story. It's suspensful and filled twists that makes you wonder what's next. The plot is well written and fresh and I love how Jolie Day writes the heroine.

Book 4: Taken
Jolie Day is an exceptional writer. Her stories captivates the reader from the first letter and lets us follow the characters through their struggles, feelings and hopes for the future. And this is no exception.
This is a thrilling story filled with betrayal, family feud and trust.

Book 5: Hard Deal
This is not, in my oppinion, this authors best work. But it is a good story with an exciting build-up and intriguing plot.

This is a captivating, entertaining & suspenseful romantic box-set (with five wonderful complete books in it), it will immediately draw you in, and you will be totally intrigued until the last page has been turned.
It is filled with: drama, intrigue, suspense, twists & turns, mafia, law enforcement, MC riders/gangs, Doctors, dealers, casinos, billionaires, mafia, strong alpha men, defiant independent women, adventure, action, danger, enemies, mystery, unscrupulous half-siblings, family feud/issues, murder, death, mystery, danger, secrets, revenge/vengeance, heartbreak, deceit, betrayal, memories, threats, doubt, verbal conflict, suspicions, conflict, confessions, admittance, lust, passion, love and steamy scenes.
The various characters are quite well-developed and appealing with individual personalities which occasionally results in verbal confrontation and/or verbal conflict, at times they entwine fairly well with each other, and react with varying emotions to the situations they find themselves in.
The plots are filled with intriguing incidents which are well thought out and written, the pace is steady and not rushed; it keeps the reader’s attention.
I really would recommend this complete box-set to people who enjoy reading entertaining, suspenseful romance; I sincerely doubt that you would be disappointed.

Lawless is a great collection of some suspenseful dramatic stories with plenty of twists and turns that will definitely keep you intrigued and hooked, with you sitting on the edge of your seat. The characters are well developed and quite intriguing. All the stories are stand alones. We have some really hot men and strong beautiful women who will give all these men a run for their hearts.
I was hooked from the very first story till the last page of the last Story. Jolie Day is a talented author she just has a way with her words, you feel what these characters are going through and it just makes you really want more. I hope you will enjoy this collection has much as I did. I highly recommend this great collections.

Jolie day definitely knows how to write romance. You will want to be the female in all of these books and you’ll fall in love with all of the alpha males in each one. Gorgeous, hot, gentlemanly men and the women they fall in love with. Hotter than sparklers on the Fourth of July. Each book gets better than the one before. You’ll say the first one is the best, then you’ll say the second one is the best, then you’ll say the third and so on. These are five books not to be missed. They are incredibly romantic and superbly entertaining. They will make your heart flutter, your toes curl and then you will be clapping with delight and fist pumping ‘YES”. So much romance, you will not want any of them to end. An absolutely fabulous series to read.

This is one wonderful box set with 5 very intriguing and sexy alpha men and the women they all fall for! I previously read some of the stories and was excited to re them again. They are Saint and Sinner is about Connor and Mira, Outlaw is about Max and Regina, Score is about Marc and Macy, Shark is about Melanie and Aiden and Hard Deal is about Anthony and Brook. Each couple has their ups and downs and go through some good and bad times along with drama, steamy passion, suspense, danger, passion and love! I found it really good to have all these lovely hot men all in one book. Mira is convinced thst Connor Cameron killed her father and for 17 years she believed this and then things started to happen to make her doubt it.
Max came to find the man who killed his father and stayed at the pub run by Regina Carlisle and things quickly developed between them
Marc is on the run but his Bike breaks down in front of Lauren's house an attraction quickly grows between them.
Brooke lands her perfect job but never expected her boss to be so handsome and the richest man in town.

A great set of books

This is a great set of five books which are all individual stories. They are full of suspense, great characters, love and of course hot steamy moments. I enjoyed them all. I love the bad boy characters who for the right woman are soft on the inside and give their heart completely. The intrigue that goes along with each compelling story keeps you hooked from beginning to end.

Each of the books in this collection are a little different. However, the way they are written is the same throughout...great. I love the storylines and the characters pull you into the story. There is enough romance and suspense to keep you interested and turning the pages. Looking forward to reading more by Jolie Day.

Lawless is a collection of five full length stand alone novels and each one is amazing! I had already read and loved Saint or Sinner previously and the other four were very good as well. While Saint or Sinner is more murder mystery/romance the rest are romance/suspense. I enjoyed every minute reading these novels and recommend them wholeheartedly!

This is a compelling and well-written murder mystery/romance. There are devious players, twists and turns, a change of heart and finally love. This story is the unfolding of a journey to find the murderer. Intrigue, suspense, steam all play a role in this exciting and entertaining story. I could not put this read aside, I wanted answers.

I love Jolie Days stories they have all got so much going on to grab your attention and keep you reading. The characters are always well thought out and they are always perfect for each other. With plenty of Suspense to keep you intrigued. You will not be disappointed with any of the books in this box set. Each story has an individual couple.

Is there anything I need to add? Maybe your favourite drink? Or a snack or two? OK grab them and now you can dive head first into this fab boxset that will keep you amused and entertained for hours. I know that it did me!
A great read that will take you all over the place with some feisty and amazing women and their alpha type men

Lawless by Jolie Day is an awesome box set to read. I really enjoyed reading this box set it is filled with romance suspence stories in this box set. It has strong characters and a awesome story line that I loved very much, I recommend this box set to all.
