First, at a girl's room is her castle-so let her rule, and decorate it like a queen! It won't cost a king's ransom when she herself crafts a big blue furry mirror with holographic stars, a lampshade with trendy beaded fringe, or painted drawer pulls. Fake fur covered notebooks and a keep-everything-in-its-place locker organizer will make a splash at school. Nothing's more important than good pals-and they'll have a blast exchanging homemade lip gloss, glitter gel, friendship jewelry, and photo albums. From great things to wear to special gifts for friends, girls will delight in the more than 50 things they can make to celebrate the most important parts of their life.

This is a fairly good craft book. There are good explanations of how to use things in the beginning of the book (i.e. glue gun safety) and lots of ideas for crafts...but the way the book is formatted makes it hard to get interested. It's crammed with lots of words and not enough pictures.

Also, I would recommend this book for mom's wanting to do stuff with their daughters not for community/classroom use, like a library program. Most of this stuff requires making large alterations to furniture type stuff and is not feasible to do in a library setting.

Crafts I might use at some point in the library:
"Top Secret Journal" pg. 58
"Mad about Magnets" pg. 63
"Locker Mirrors" pg. 68
"Friends Forever Jewelry" pg. 70
"Lip Gloss" pg. 74
"Perfume" pg. 75
"Glamour Glittler" pg. 76
"Hair Flair" pg. 97
"Bracelets Beaucoup" (safety pins, buttons, etc. pg. 108
