Lilly is a 60-year-old widow who feels as if there is nothing left in life for her to enjoy. Then, on a whim, she decides to go on a vacation where she gets to take care of a beautiful lighthouse. Together with her dog, Hannah, Lilly sets off on what turns out to be an adventure of a lifetime proving that there is not only life after sixty but possibly love as well.
This was a sweet, delightful read. I was an editor of this book and I felt myself sucked into the story as I worked on it. I could not wait to find out what Lilly would do next and if she would take risks to shake up her mundane life. I fell in love with her dog Hannah as well. The book was very well written and it focused on romance without sex scenes, which it did not need. I am very glad I had the opportunity to read this book and I hope more romances are written.
