Crazy at its best

This book was crazy at its best. With each turn of the page, I didn't know what to expect and of course the author put her own special twist to it, with an ending that really surprised me. The Jane's were all a hot mess, especially Blond Jane. She was the ringleader of crazy. I'll never be able to look at anyone with the name Jane without thinking about this book. A job well done.

"The Janes" by B. M. Hardin

My Thoughts...

Now I will say this one is one of the most craziest, mystery, and suspenseful novel I have ever read...but it was GOOD! This author Ms. Hardin really knows how to keep ones attention and this one definitely did it for me. Wow, Jane, Jane, Jane...and that Blonde Jane... I think it was a total of 10 of them living on the same block! This story even though it was crazy was very captivating as I turned the pages looking to read more about Jane[s]. By the time I got to the end of 'The Janes'...more twisted Janes come out front and center that goes with that saying 'when something is too good to be true, more likely.. it is!' Will 'Blonde Jane' get hers?! What disappointed me more than anything about the read was the way the husband Brice treated his Jane...like she had no idea of what she was talking about but even more of a shocker was the best friend of Jane, Charity. Oh, well to truly understand it all you will have to pick up 'The Janes' to see how well they are presented to the reader. This is definitely one heck of a story I will not forget anytime soon. Thank you to the author for doing what you do so well and that is giving the reader a good read!

This was a really good read. Suspenseful at every turn. It puts me the mind of the stepford wives. I love that it was multicultural. Very entertaining. That blonde Jane was crazy as hell.

Stay Away from the Janes

This was a good suspense story from BM Hardin. The craziness started from the very first page until the very end. Blonde Jane was crazy and the things she did would drive anyone insane. If you like suspense, mysteries or thrillers this is definitely the book for you.

She doesn't again

B M Hardin does it again. Page Turner. Mary Jane and Bruce love them as a couple but thought that Bruce was cheating on his wife. Blonde Jane and the rest of them except Silent Jane crazy as shell.

What a name...

These Ladies were beyond demented. They were Psychos. Mary Jane had a lot of restrain and willpower, cause I would have punched a Jane on the first day! This book was awesome

There is a saying ~ like minds think alike.  Would it seem correct that friends that hang around each other act similar?  Or even people who have the same name would appear to act alike?  Not so much like twins or triplets but non related people maybe acting like each other, is it because they want to be like that other person?  What are the chances that this can happen?  Is this done on purpose or by accident?

Mary Jane and her husband Brice are newlyweds who are looking for a house to buy.  They happen to luck up on a realtor who has the perfect house for them.  When they checked out the house, she was right ~ IT WAS PERFECT!!!  Joy overwhelmed them when they bought the house, and they also found that their neighbors were very friendly.  Maybe a little too friendly.  While they were meeting their neighbors, they discovered that there was something strange about the neighborhood.  While Mary Jane was trying to figure out what the issue was with the neighbors, the neighbors was trying to figure out why she wanted to be different.  Couldn't she just go along to get along or was she going to be the outcast on the block?  Will the neighborhood survive if there started to be differences?

The Janes is a thriller.  This is a dramatic spin on The Stepford Wives and how they would act if everyone had the name Jane.  This novel will surprise you with the level that people will go to so that everything would appear perfect, at least according to them.  The characters seemed to get along and the story flows smoothly.  When there is strife within the community it gives you a sense of urgency because you know that it is going to be fixed in a way like no other.  The Janes is a very well written novel that is an easy read, you should be able to get through it in less than a day and be completely satisfied.

The Janes is available for purchase on Amazon.com (Kindle and paperback).

Creepy! But I liked it lol. Wasn't a very long book but the content was very intriguing. I adored (Mary) Jane and Brice's relationship even though I did want to shake him a few times...but we know that wouldn't make for a good story if we always loved everything the characters do. I liked the diversity amongst the Janes. Even with the story being creepy (can't think of a better word to describe it), there was also some funny parts. (Mary) Jane, Brice and Charity were likeable in the respect that they reflected normal people, not the superficial and often times typical gorgeous people or flashy and/or reckless. B.M. Hardin stayed true to form and wrote an out of the box story once again, this was my favorite thus far (only think I've read about 3 or 4 to date). I will definitely keep reading her work. I'd recommend her books to those who don't mind overly fictionalized stories, as in you can't really see them happening in real life but very entertaining to say the least.

What a page turner! Once I started, I couldn’t stop. It took me just a few hours to read it because I just had to know what would happen next and how it would end. These women—The Janes were completely loco! Their idea of perfect was twisted and it made for quite a storyline. Once again, the author took me on an explosive ride full of twists and turns. But, the last twist at the end fell a little short for me. I didn’t care for it. Also, there were a lot of grammatical errors and typos. This is my second read from this author in just a few days and it seems to be a pattern. I’ll definitely read more of her work, so I hope it gets better in that regard because she’s a great storyteller.

This is a fun, weird little self-published novella. It starts off very much like The Stepford Wives by one of my favorite authors, Ira Levin, except that in this book, the wives are no victims. At the beginning, Jane moves to her new dream neighborhood where all the women are also named Jane. Soon, the Janes, who are determined to bring our narrator Jane into the Jane fold start interfering with every aspect of her life. I found the ending a bit disappointing, but I also can’t think of any better way to end it, so I can’t really complain. I stayed up all night reading this, so maybe think twice about starting it before bed.

Good Book!

Today was a busy day, so I couldn't sit down and read this book cover to cover as I normally would. But, whenever I had a moment, I made sure to continue right where I left off!
This book was sooooo good!!! I enjoyed every second of reading about the Janes... especially the blonde one lol
'Mary' Jane was strong throughout the book! And I guess we know now why Silent Jane was always so silent lol.
This book was like watching a movie and I was actually a little sad when it came to an end! I can not wait to read more from this author! Job well done!

WOW!! Drive through your Future neighborhood at night.

Mary Jane and her hubby Brice finally get their dream home or so it seems. Jane has a very creative mind so when she decides to do things differently with her interior and exterior she will find out things work a little different in this new neighborhood. Oh did I mention she is not the only person name Jane!
This story has everything you can ask for cunning characters, malicious behaviors and the fight to be free!

Loved it B.M but you never disappoint!

Just Jane

The Janes was a page right out of the Stepford Wives. They were all crazy as hell. This was a change of pace from the usual urban fiction. BM Hardin never disappoints. She constantly strives to be different and The Janes was an interesting storyline that kept you guessing. The story flowed and kept my attention made you wonder. It wasn't predictable and this mad me enjoy it all the more.

Happy Reading,

The Janes

Oh my what a read. It was scary at times but it have you wanted more. The Hands were a set of women doing cult . What puzzle me is Mary Jane,s friend Charity. She is bad mined set up her so called best friend to be killed. So happy undercover cop and FBI were all there when they wanted to take out Mary Jane. Brice Mary Jane husband was very slow on catching who the Jane,s were... Good read B. M. Hardin

Suspenseful

BM Hardin is certifiable! I so enjoyed the suspense in this book. An avid fan of Hardin's, I still can't guess the twists or traitors in her works, and I was again floored when it was revealed who set the trap for Jane. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and can't wait for Hardin's next book. Also, kudos for being a stand alone!

Sophomoric and far fetched

This book was not well written. The writing style was pretty immature there were way too many grammatical errors. Also the plot had potential to be maybe a decent Stepford Wives rip off but the execution came off as silly and convoluted. The author seems to have a following but I'm going to pass on reading any of her other books.

Must Read!!

B.M. this was some creative writing. 😳🤣🤣I really enjoyed it but I'm definitely going to be looking at everyone named Jane sideways for a while. Those were some crazy ass ladies. I loved the ending because I thought for a moment she might've ran Brice off. Keep up the good work ❤️

Of All of the Janes...

Mary Jane and Brice had to know something was up when they moved into a street where all the ladies were named Jane. The things they happened were crazy...just like the Jane's. Don't believe all that the see and don't trust what you hear as it could be someone you pulling a "Jane". Original storyline and you won't guess the ending.

Very different

Very different but unlike it. It was refreshing to read something other than a hood, ghetto, drug dealing, cheating, side chick book. Reminds me of the stepford wives. Suspenseful. The janes were nuts. I did not see that coming with charity! I hope to read more books thAt are outside the box.

Mannn!

This book was just totally crazy. I would not want my name to be Jane. Those women were insane and had everyone under their spell. I would have went postal on Blonde Jane. She had too much power over everything. I was really shocked that Charity was a part of this. Loved this book!

This book was amazing. I was both hooked and creeped out from the first page. I felt every emotion of the lead character and was ready to throw her husband and that house away. The Author did an amazing job of keeping us in suspense until the very end. My first read from this author and it will not be my last by any means! Definite Movie Potential!

Them Jane's were crazy!

This was a crazy novel! Stepfotd wives on steroids for real! There was no stopping these crazy women and then to find out about Charity, that was wild! I never saw most of it coming but there's always a twist when reading a BM Hardin novel! Privileged entitled crazies! Another great read!

Nice Read!

I enjoyed reading this book and wondered what was going on with the Janes group of weird women! I must say that it did not end the way that I thought! But I did love that ending! I am so glad that some things were not as they seemed! I definitely recommend this book to everyone.
