-"You're my fucking world. My heart beats for you. Only you."

Seth "Ghost" Warren and his wife Macy have been married for about six months. They are crazy in love and excited to begin their future together. Macy is ready to start a family, and is hoping to get pregnant soon. They are enjoying being newlyweds and their everyday life as a couple. Seth is still a tattoo artist at Dermamania with his best friend Brian Ross. He's happy with his daily routine, and then a blast from the past calls with an offer he's not sure he can turn down. His old band In the Slaughter has asked him to come back and do a show in Austin with them. He'd once been their lead guitarist until some drama happened. He'd always loved how it felt to be on stage, and he realized he missed it. This could be his one chance to relive his glory days. Macy figures this gig could be an opportunity for some baby making fun with her gorgeous, bald, inked, pierced, badass husband. She plans to take full advantage of this time together and her hot man!

-God, he always managed to start that melting in her chest, that warm glow that spread out until every part of her was heated and trembling for him.

-Everything about him soothed her soul, from the adoration written plainly in his dark, dark brown eyes to the intensity of his words.

-Home. It wasn't just an expression. It was where he belonged, it was the place he'd spent his entire fucking life trying to find. He had it now. With her, he had it at last.

-He loved that woman more than anything else in the world. She was his heart.

-Sometimes he couldn't believe she was real and she wanted him. But God, how she did.

-She still trembled for him after all this time, and he still burned for her. He always would. This woman held all the power in the world to destroy him, and like an idiot he'd willingly given it to her- but even if someday she used it, he'd have no regrets.

Breathless is book 8 in the Ross Siblings series. It's a sexy, short novella featuring Ghost & Macy from Leave Me Breathless. This is my favorite couple in the series so I was thrilled to get more of these characters I adore! Ghost is still just as delicious, and he still likes to get steamy in his GTO. ;)) They are still deeply in love and as passionate as ever. I really enjoyed this story, and returning to this series!

Not many people know this about me but Seth "Ghost" Warren is legit one of my top favorite male characters ever. I have reread his and Macy's book so many times, I've lost count. So please close your eyes and briefly imagine my reaction when I saw Cherrie Lynn was releasing more of their story. I. FREAKING. DIED.

Breathless finds Ghost and Macy married and contemplating a family when the past comes knocking on their door. Ghost is just as delicious and adorable and funny and real as he ever was and I fell right back into love with him. Macy is as relatable as ever, a bit more sure of herself and her relationship these days, but the girl Ive known and loved is still there deep down when old insecurities make their way to the surface. Truly, this was the very best walk down memory lane, a story that brings their relationship full circle, reminding the reader how difficult their journey has been while simultaneously proving how strong and perfect they are in this new phase of their lives.

This book is SEXY. It's so so so steamy. It's wickedly hot and a bit angsty yet still deliciously sweet and romantic all at once. I couldn't have been more thrilled to get this glimpse into their present. It was so so so good and now all I can think about is going back to the beginning to retrace their steps all over again. I seriously LOVE the Dermamania crew, I love the whole vibe of this series and I can't recommend it enough. This fast paced romance was simply icing on the cake because I truly thought the series was complete and to get more Ghost and Macy when I wasn't expecting it was the most AMAZING surprise. I love love loved Breathless and this just validated my feelings that Ghost is still the best everrrrrr.

I had mixed feelings about reading this novella, since the last 2 books in this series were a struggle for me. Also, I found contentment with Ghost and Macy's HEA as their story felt complete, and I really did not want to mess with their ending. But, curiosity got the better of me and sadly Breathless was a bit of a disappointment. It breaks my heart because I truly ADORE this couple. Between Ghost's stubbornness, coupled with Macy's immaturity over their situation, I could not connect with either character. Regardless, if you are a fan of the series, give it a go and hopefully you will enjoy! (Although I do believe the price is too costly for a novella that is less than 90 pages).

I felt a little meh about this one. It was nice to see Ghost and Macy happy, heck even to see them fight a bit and then work out a compromise. I did find I was on Macy’s side, was a bit startled that Ghost would ask Macy to go back to the place where horrible things happened to them. I sort of expected bad things to happen again, instead it was a bit anti-climactic. It was nice to see the good news that Ghost and Macy received at the end.

I hadn’t realized how much I missed being in Cherrie Lynn’s Ross Sibling’s world until I cracked open Breathless and jumped back in with a story about my favorite miss-matched, opposites attract couple. Six months after they are married, their lives are changing in more ways than one and with those changes comes a bit of anxiety, a bit of compromise and as always with these two a whole lot of love.

There is nothing I love more than when an author gives readers a bit of a “check in” with their characters and I was thrilled Ms. Lynn decided to let us see what is going on in the world of Seth “Ghost” Warren and his new wife, Macy. These two didn’t have the easiest relationship; there were several things they had to get past to be together so it was great to see them married and still so hot for one another.

I loved that they are both still their own people, they haven’t changed their lives, but they have learned a bit of compromise. There were many memorable moments between them but watching Macy learn to appreciate Ghost’s musical talent and watching the way Ghost has softened and see him make sure Macy knows she is his everything made me sigh and cry. I love that they’ve grown not only as people, but in their coupledom.

Sassy and sexy and packed with emotion, I loved Breathless!!

I read the other ones about these mcs a couple of years ago (and I don’t really remember much of their story)so I saw it was just fitting to read this one (on the plus side it was very short).
It’s more like an extended epilogue. At least there wasn’t a fabricated drama and it was angst free.
Hence 4 stars.

Edited to add: Although I received an ARC from NG for this book, having seen the price on Amazon UK, I am shocked that they are asking £5.03 for an 89 page Novella. I would not recommend paying for it as it adds nothing to Macy and Seth's story and is obviously a money making exercise. In fact, it should have been offered as a free read by the author to her loyal readers!

Review:

Macy and Ghost/Seth's story has been my favourite book from this series so I was looking forward to catching up with them in this Novella.

It was OK but I expected a bit more to be honest.

Breathless is a truly fun way to catch up with the one and only Seth "Ghost" Warren and his feisty wife Macy. These two still have the most intense chemistry not having lost one bit of their passion all these books later.

I still remember first meeting them way back when in the Ross Siblings series and I'm happy they are still blissfully in love.

There is that requisite bit of tension as past events come flooding back as Seth is invited to play one more time with his former band. I was a bit surprised he'd want Macy to revisit their painful past but I was equally proud that she was able to be there for her man.

Plenty of heat and wildly sexy trysts make this a reunion worth reading and it's a short enough novella to get you through a gloomy afternoon.

3 solid stars!

Ghost and Macy are probably tied with Brian and Candace for my favorite couple of this series and I wholly enjoyed getting to see more of their life in Breathless . I loved the way Lynn tackled the difficulties that can crop up in a relationship when it comes to old wounds and the struggles of change, and how true-to-character they both were in dealing with them. But the most fun was in seeing their connection again and feeling those same butterflies that appear when this couple appears on the pages.

As with any novella, I wanted more. I'm ravenous for this group of friends and seeing into their lives at every opportunity we can get and I hope Lynn keeps delving back into this world and building on it. The bad boy nature of Ghost and the reserved Macy were just as I expected them to be even in domesticity, and I love their unique dynamic and how they've made it work. And seeing them think of babies brought a warmness to my heart. If you've missed this couple as much as I have, you'll enjoy getting a glimpse back into their world and I think you'll be like me in wishing there was more, more, more of them.

I felt as if I was step-in on something that was ongoing, but it in no way detracted from the connection that I was feeling between Seth and Macy. While I felt like I was missing the beginning of their story, I enjoyed the part of their love I was able to share in. I will be heading back to the beginning of this series and enjoy each new couple as they come and see Macy and Seth from the start.

Would certainly read again in context to the other books of the series.

I was undecided about how I felt when I heard we were getting another book about Ghost and Macy, but decided to try to reserve judgement and give it a chance. I loved Macy and Seth's story and was hopeful that this book would be good unfortunately this book is a complete waste of time and it is overpriced for how short it is! In my opinion this book had nothing of substance to offer and seems to my to be a money grab.

Ghost and Macy are back and seriously hotter than ever. This peek at their life together, plus seeing Brian and Candace at Dermamania was better than any epilogue because even Ghost and Macy’s HEA has a few bumps in the road.

Life together has been good for Ghost and Macy, even after six months of marriage. They have grown closer and more confident in their feelings for each other. And the sexual chemistry is even hotter than before:

They were old pros with each other’s bodies by now, yet nothing was old. Every breath, every quiver, every touch…it all felt brand new and all the more devastating for their shared prowess. Equally as hot and fierce or loving and tender whether they were in their bed or the shower or he had her bent over the kitchen island.

This new life is tested when Ghost gets an invite to play with his old band, and this stirs up wrecked memories of the night that almost destroyed Ghost and Macy. Macy, grappling with her desire for a baby, is stunned that Ghost wants to revisit that life when all she can remember is what his ex-girlfriend tried to do to them that night. Brian and Candace somehow get involved in Macy and Ghost’s standoff, too and it was hard to even understand Ghost’s thinking (I’ve always been a Macy fan).

Although the ending is a bit pat and too neatly done, it is a testament that Ghost and Macy come through even stronger and more content than ever before. There is a sense that even without any further epilogues or novellas, they really did find their HEA.

I was so excited to get more from Seth "Ghost" Warren and his wife Macy.  This seemingly mismatched couple caught my attention in Leave Me Breathless and I was beyond excited to get a peek into their lives as a married couple.  These two characters really stood out to me in the past and I knew that if they were to get another book I would gladly read it.

This novella was short and sweet.  Hitting on both the struggles and achievements gained in both life and marriage.   It was great to get to revisit these characters and see how they've grown both as individuals and as a couple.  In this story they come up against several challenges that could make or break them and it's how they navigate these challenges that really cements how strong of a marriage they have.  While this story didn't have the gut wrenching scenes of their original story it was still an emotional book that made you really questions who these characters are to each other.

I loved the maturity that came along with their years together.  Things that would originally make Macy run for the hills before, instead made her question who Seth really was to her and how her reaction would affect not only her but their marriage.  Seth really grew up a lot.  He put his wife and her happiness above his own and it was amazing to see her do the same for him.

It's always harder to write a review for such a short piece of work but, I can say that I really enjoyed this story and was sad to see it end.

8 years after Leave me Breathless, Ghost and Macy are back! I don't know why the author decided to write a novella about these two, but I am just happy to see these two again. They got a nice epilogue to their story and we got to see some of the characters we know and love again, like Brian and Candice. The weird part of the story is that another unexpected character got a happy ending and some of the readers might not feel good about it.

I was not a fan of Ghost in the book. I couldn't really understand why he was so set on going to a place that held bad memories for him and mostly Macy. Macy was already going through some stuff since she wanted to get pregnant, but the sticks were not showing her the result she wanted. I guess that he needed some kind of closure in order to be able to enjoy happily married life with 2.5 kids.

Something didn' click for me when it comes to this book. I was expecting something more for these characters and it was holding me back, from enjoying the book as much as I should have. I hope that the author will write novella's for the other couples, just to get a glimpse of these beloved characters.

You know those characters that just stick with you, no matter how many years have passed? Ghost and Macy are one of those couples for me. I was so excited to hear they had another book! And though it was short, it was perfect and finished off their tale just how it needed to, giving me the closure I didn’t realize I wanted. Sizzling hot, powerful and sweet!

I loved revisiting Ghost and Macy. Full review to come

Breathless was a great follow up story to Macy and Seth's original novel. It was a quick read, but took me right back to the original feels of their story and made me nostalgic to read them again.

I loved that this story gave us proof that even in romance novels, couples face problems and have to make compromises. It was a really nice balance of continued romance and all out love with every day struggles delivered in such a way that not only was the love felt, the problems were relatable in some ways.

Macy and Seth are still two very much unique characters and I loved that though there was definitely growth in them, there wasn't any major changes that made them not resemble the Macy and Seth I fell in love with before.

Cherrie Lynn did a great job of enticing me with this follow up piece and now I'm hopeful for future glimpses at these and other characters in the future.

I have read many novels by Cherrie Lynn. and rarely does she disappoint.

I love Seth and Macy. They are one of my favorite couples in this series. This was a cute catch up novella. It was alright. I was able to read through the whole book. I guess I could have lived without this follow up. I just prefer to use my imagination as to where the story goes after everything is said and done.

It was well written- as always.

I first discovered Cherrie Lynn about five years ago, not long after I reignited my love of reading. I read a few of the books in the "Ross Siblings" series and loved them so much that they have stayed with me. I'm not sure why I didn't continue with the series, I'm pretty sure I planned to, but I guess I just forgot as I became swamped in an endless amount of romance books that I wanted to read. So, as soon as I saw this book, I was reminded of Seth and Macy's first novel and instantly requested this new novella. This new instalment had so much going for it and I'm happy that I took the time to be reunited with Cherrie's work. I am looking forward to catching up with more of her books in the future.

"Who needed drugs, who needed alcohol, who the fuck needed the stage,
when they could have this."

This short story saw me catching up with Seth and Macy. The sexy couple were now happily married, living out their fairy tale life when Seth gets the invite to do a one off show with his old band. What unfolds from then on was a cute and steamy tale that I thoroughly enjoyed. I loved how things had turned out for Seth and Macy. They were still so madly in love and crazy happy together, however Seth returning to his past sees Macy's old insecurities resurface.

"You're my fucking world. My heart beats for you. Only you."

As well as the beautiful swoon-worthy romance and the red hot sex that I was reading, I also loved that this story was a story about marriage and a long lasting relationship rather than a tale of first and new love. It made me so happy to see how hard Seth and Macy worked on their marriage and how that hard work paid off. It was a refreshing change to read a story about the ups and downs of making a relationship work for the long haul. Seth and Macy still had that chemistry that had drawn me to them at the beginning of the series. Their love story continued to be everything that I had hoped.

"There's nowhere else on earth I would rather be than here, right now, with you."
"Macy, every moment with you has been that way for me. Every fucking moment."

Six months into their marriage, Macy wants to be a mom and Ghost is contemplating selling his beloved GTO. Life is changing. When he gets a call from Mark to play with the old band for just one night, he knows that Macy isn't going to like it, even if the idea of getting back on stage for one show excites him.

Macy isn't happy about Ghost revisiting behaviors she thought he left behind, especially when she has some really bad memories of the disastrous attempt to see Ghost play in the past. Raina, Ghost's old girlfriend is likely to be there.

There's lots of stuff going on in Macy's head right now and Ghost is going to have to help her in the best way he can and does he deliver on that!

Breathless is a really great little story about what happens after the HEA, so to speak. It's about how relationships change and grow and adjust. That was the real charm for me in this story, and Ghost is one sexy beast! I love how he loves Macy and how he understands her. They are really quite wonderful together, even though Macy can really get on my nerves sometimes.

This is the kind of book that makes you want to go back and re-read the entire series. There are some nice scenes with Brian and Candace as well, and the banter between Brian and Ghost is always entertaining.

I really liked Breathless. It's a great addition to the series, and can also work as a standalone if you just want something steamy and sweet you can read in an evening.

BREATHLESS is book 6 (or #5.5) in the Ross Siblings series and is a steamy novella.

Macy and Seth "Ghost" Warren have been married for a mere six months. Macy is desperately hoping to get pregnant. Seth is willing to give Macy whatever she wants, including a baby. But when he gets a call to rejoin his old rock band, will Seth have second thoughts about becoming a father?

We met Ghost and Macy in LEAVE ME BREATHLESS which is actually a book I read many years ago and thoroughly enjoyed. I didn't remember all of the details of their romance but I had no problems jumping right into this one and getting swept up all over again! First of all, Ghost is one sexy, alpha beast of a man. Whew...my ovaries are still trying to recover! He's the ultimate book boyfriend, intense but sweet, possessive but loving, dominating but charming. And Macy may have a lot of opposite qualities and tendencies but the one thing that's glaringly obvious is their attraction to each other and their love for one another. I adored the dynamic him and Macy had together.

This is a relatively easy drama but it really made me want to go back for another reread of this series! Told from dual POVs with a happy ever after. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.

3.5 Cute but unnecessary stars.

Honestly, Breathless was a bit of a disappointment. As much as I love the characters in this universe, this novella added nothing in terms of story or character development.
Aside from Macy’s want of a baby, the actual premise was a rehash of things that happened in Leave Me Breathless, not to mention both main characters behaved rather annoyingly at the situations that arose. Macy was overreacting and Ghost was being insensitive.
I can’t say I would advise anyone to buy it, as the price is rather outrageous for the amount of pages you’re getting, (you can pretty much read it in one sitting, and to me it felt even shorter than Breathe Me In) and like I said, I don’t think the story is worth it.
Frankly, I would have preferred less plot and more sexy times, as those were rather lackluster unfortunately. I liked Brian and Candace’s novella a lot more.
Also, I know this is a romance novel and all, but why are these young girls meeting, falling in love, getting married and pregnant within the span of like, 2-3 years? I’m being sour I know, but it kills my enjoyment a little, knowing that rushing into stuff like that never ends well.
Anyway, I’m happy that Macy got her tattoo.

How I loved this book with the continuing story for Ghost and Macy. I had to reread their first book to get the full effect of this one before diving into this. And I fell in love with their characters all over again. Ghost is such a special man. In this one I adored how he reassured Macy and just helped her through her insecurities. His words were beautiful and his convictions strong. Macy was great in that she got to grow a little more. She saw Ghost a little more honestly, with a closer look at a different part of him. And once she did, there was no reason for her doubts. She fully understood him. And their love scenes were freaking hot, each and every one. They are such a fabulous couple together. Stand beside one another and love unconditionally. I loved this update with them. Would it be too much to ask for another of their future in a few years? ;D

Seth and Macy haven't been married long. He is a tattoo artist and used to be in a band. I know Macy is into rodeos but I am not sure what her full time job is. They are madly in love with each other and they want to start a family. Seth gets a phone call to do 1 gig with his old band. Macy is not so sure about it because of what happened the last time, which you will find out when you read this. After discussing their future and how he wants to really do this gig one last time then they decide to do it. Even though there are only 89 pages you still get to know the characters. I enjoyed how they feed off each other when something is wrong and their little bit of roll playing made me laugh.

Seth and Macy have been married for six months. They are happy but Macy wants a baby. Macy works in her parents sporting goods store and Seth is a former band member and works in a tattoo shop. When he gets a call to fill in with his old band, he wants too but Macy is afraid that’s what he wants for his life now. Plus she has bad memories of the place they will be playing at and of Seth’s ex showing up. Can Seth convince her she is all he needs?
A novella with a bald, tattooed hunk and his strong wife. Sex, sex, and sex. Really good.

This book was a great way to go back to Seth and Macy's love story.
I just expected "more", but I guess the length - since it's a novella - didn't help, and this may explain why I felt like it was "lacking" of some depth, or like it was a little rushed...

Writing novellas about couples that already had their own story on a previous book ca be REALLY challenging.

It rarely works for me (but it’s not impossible, I indeed enjoyed some novellas, because they were consistent despite their length)

But this one was just OK for me.
