A lonely young girl is unhappy in her new school. She is entranced by a marionette in the shop where her mother works and the doll becomes her new friend. The doll holds secrets. Can Suzanne, her mother, protect the child from this sinister doll? Can the new business consultant help Suzanne and her daughter find the happiness they seek? A sweet and innocent romance and Halloween story which touches the hearts of its readers.
I think the doll was more of a way to bring Mark and Suzanne together. I was a bit disappointed, I was hoping for not about the creepy doll instead of the romance. I did like the short part about the folks and that in itself was almost a complete story.
What a wonderful story. The author has captured my imagination and has a wonderful way with words.
I found the story well written and enticing. With so many books leaning towards the darker aspects of Halloween, this was a refreshing change from a more conservative perspective.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for something a little different. Author Toni Bolton is exceptionally talented and will not disappoint. From the editing to the storyline it was a win for me. Well done. I look forward to reading more stories by this author.
