I love this author, and I loved Madeline in the previous book, so I a was super excited to start this one. Alas, there were a couple of issues I had with it right off the bat. Strike one; I am just not a fan of uber manwhores anymore. IT HAS BEEN DONE TO DEATH. This hero was supposed to be 30, but he had the maturity level of a teenager. I am even less of a fan when his immaturity and whoring around is the catalyst for the entire story. Strike two; the heroine was two years older than the hero. I hate the whole older women/younger man trope, and yes even though it is just two years, it lessened my enjoyment. What can I say...I am picky like that!
So needless to say, I struggled a bit with this one. I never warmed up to Nathaniel. He just wasn't a likable hero (for me) for most of the book. As I mentioned above, I just found him very immature. Madeline on the other hand I LOVED. Girlfriend was FIERCE, and I loved that she was short (like me). As much as I disliked Nathaniel, I'll admit the banter between these two was fantastic, and they had amazing sexual chemistry. This author knows how to write and the book is definitely well written and well paced. The plot kept me engaged, even if it wasn't all that original. The fake girlfriend, enemies to lovers trope, is a popular one and in that regard, there wasn't anything new here. I've read slight variations on this plot 5000 times already. That said, it still managed to keep me entertained nonetheless. Neither were virgins. There was a good bit of OW drama (what exactly was the point of Cecile??) in this one (which again I am COMPLETELY over at this point), but no OM drama. This was a pretty slow burn, and there isn't any sex until 55% into the book. Last, it was all wrapped up in a sweet (if slightly) rushed ending.
So ya, another mixed bag for me. I seem to be stuck in mixed bag territory lately. However, I am still very much a fan of this author and hopefully, her next one will be a solid hit for me.

I flat out loved it! This trope is an absolute favorite of mine.
It's my new favorite from this author.
Here's what I loved:
As I stated above, the trope really did it for me. Nathaniel and Tink rub each other the wrong way from the very start! She's to put together and regimented. He's flying by the seat of his pants and completely disrupts her delicate order. They spar from their very first meeting. It was quite fun to experience him getting under her skin.
When they both realize they have something to lose, and really need one each other the circumstances change. What's can be worse than being thrown into close quarters with a person you despise? Well they soon find out that being in close quarters can be really rewarding.
The steamy bits between them were fabulous. Their relationship development was well done. They both grow as characters. Although I was quite miffed with her at certain point during the story, it got me right in the feels!
Overall, a very well written and engaging novel. Two thumbs up!

I didn't realize when I started this book how much I would end up liking Nathaniel and thoroughly enjoy watching Madeline and him fall from 'pretend' to Real. There's something about what a lovable rogue Nathaniel is and his Peter Pan like 'intentions' that made me enjoy watching his conversion. While manwhores can sometimes rub me the wrong way, Nathaniel really didn't have a bad bone in his body - as opposed to mysogynistic 'manwhores' who really have no respect for a woman as a fellow human and merely as a receptacle.
The author scored brownie points with me on this one because every romance book seems to be about the stereotypical happy ending. So many epilogues about the baby and his need to impregnate her and ONLY then, is the story a done deal. I really was refreshed to read a story with two people where they were the completion of each other and anything else was icing on the cake. I loved the fact that Harrison wrote a wonderful heroine who was just as much a woman and a catch as any other but faced a real life obstacle that many out there do and she didn't try and 'fix it' for the sake of the same old romance formula. It gave me more respect for Nathaniel and it took no value away from Madeline.
Loved the book and glad to have read it as I'm simultaneously reading a number of Ava Harrison books and not all are created quite as equal for me. This one just clicked and it rocked! 5 Stars!

picked this one up on the recommendation of lj shen via twitter. it was peddled as hate-t0-love which i was of course, into. but nothing about the love interest reeled me in.
i think playboys are getting harder and harder to impress me. especially one's that are unapologetic or have no backstory for why they behave like that. and in general... this guy was just irritating. not infuriating in a sexy way, but just annoying.
the premise was interesting enough. guy has to prove himself to his grandfather and decides to invest in an up and coming fashion brand. he falls for one of the founders.
but it just felt very average to me. and i know there are probably thousands of other romances out there for me that are going to actually GET me. so on to the next.

Ava Harrison gives good troubled, alpha male. She couples him with a strong heroine and book magic shines. This story carries a familiar trope - commitment phobe alpha needs unlikely female to help him redeem himself. Sparks fly throughout until the two's feeling are finally realized. I loved the heroine in this book had her own very serious troubles that are so relatable to so many women, it shows a human quality and interesting twist to the familiarity of the trope.
The characters here set the scene in a cutthroat atmosphere of fashion. Harrison's dual, first person POV writing pulls into both of those characters wonderfully so you find yourself invested from the very start. They are both well-constructed and even more well developed as individuals. Both with flaws and vulnerabilities that perfectly compliment the plot of the book. The chemistry never wanes but the coupling and the vulnerabilities wax so much it became a little cumbersome the closer I got to the end. Harrison's ability to create such charged banter and raw heat between her characters is perfectly romantic. Their propensity to internally self sabotage anything real adds to their likability.
This is a twisty, angsty ride full of romance, fun, and an abundance of charm. Ava Harrison has become an author for whom I'll always read because of her perfectly romantic yet edgy characters and enemies-to-lovers relationships. This is a great weekend read and perfect for those who love the closed-off walls of characters within their romance.

Intention is a beautifully written fake turned real romance with two very opposite attract yet lovable characters.
Nathaniel is the arrogant playboy we all know and love, but when his future is in jeopardy he puts it all aside to prove he is worthy of his grandfather’s trust. What we don’t expect to see is this compassionate man who balances work and play so well. He doesn’t run from his emotions, but embraces his evolution, which is slightly refreshing in the play boy character archetype.
Madeline is more uptight and meticulous with her time and work. She very much comes alive. There is an aspect of her character that I assume many female readers will connect with. It is something that plagues many, and while my own personal experience was different, we struggled with the same emotions.
These two are fun. The story is great. The chemistry electric. So, I’m sure you’re wondering why 4 crowns versus 5. I just wasn’t consumed by this story. Clinically, it is perfect - pacing, character development, conflict and resolution. It lacked a connection with me, and I’m not sure that I could truly articulate why. It may be the that the two previous standalones in the series slated my heart and soul, it could be a it’s me, not you type of book. I’m not sure.
Either way, I would still recommend reading Intention. It is beautifully constructed take of two lost people who find themselves in each other.

I'm not giving away a single thing about this journey, but I will say this: you will run thru every possible emotion and then some while you're reading #TRUST!
Both Nathaniel and Madeline were very strong-willed characters, alphas if you will, and when they came together they exploded of the pages. Their chemistry was full of spark. The entire story was full of spark. It's very intense and captivating but not dark/angsty. Simply put, it is an epic hate to love story that sizzled and crackled from beginning to end.
I haven't read a lot of work by this author and I'm wondering why because what I have read has been off the charts all around. If you like your stories with strong characters full of heart, then #oneclick away TODAY! You'll be thanking me later ;)

Ava has done it again. Her ability to capture your attention with a swoony, stubborn, sexy man comes to life in this modern day fairytale of "Peter Pan," the boy who doesn't want to grow up. Nathaniel Harrington has big shoes to fill, a family legacy that rests on his shoulders. He's not ready for this responsibility until Madeline, aka "Tink" comes along and uses her magic fairy dust to bring out the best in him.
It's not surprising that the two of them butt heads from the very start. Madeline lives her life needing to be in complete control and one thing she can't control is Nathaniel, now that he owns the company she works for. Nathaniel doesn't have a care in the world, living life as it comes and enjoying all the things his wealth has to offer him.
Madeleine is strong, she doesn't back down and that is was makes her such a likeable heroine. Yes, she's known as the Ice Queen to those she works with, but watching Nathaniel thaw those walls she has in place was a journey worth taking. The banter between these two is great and seeing Nathaniel for who he really is warmed my heart. He may not be ready to grow up, but his heart is real. As time goes on, the mutual respect they have for one another takes flight and their adoration grows into so much more.
This is a great story of trust and believing in yourself. It's not easy putting your heart in someone else's hands, but sometimes the risk is worth it. Flying to Neverland with these two was quite the trip ❤️❤️❤️

THIS FUCKING BOOK!
I'm sure I loved and hated it. The feels came from the back story and such. The romance was on 10 at one point, but the author pulled the family strings and made it more. I was feeling left out in the end. If you're gonna give a ending like that, give me the details, FFS. I feel robbed and satisfied. Shaking my head here.
Alright. Let me calm down. I love a strong FEMALE lead. Yeah. She wrote the story, I believe. Keep the POVs to yourself. I'm pretty sure I saw the author going, what the heck is going on? I sure was. And usually I don't like the lead Male's voice so vivid. But, this cracks me up. I see why she did. This female was on hundred with her secrets. And he was trying to figure her out. I love that. That's what I'm saying. What just happened in this twisted, office love affair? I equally loved and hated it.
Damn right infuriating. By the end I was either going to strangle the couple or make them sit in the corner.
So, basically I hated to love this story. I'll give the author props, she messes with your heart!

10 BEAUTIFUL STARS!! Phenomenal is all I can say!! This book will be in my TOP 10 books for 2019....I already know!! Nathaniel and Madeline's story is beautifully written with all the feels and their banter is off the charts good. These characters will be engraved in my heart forever. Their story is like reading an adult fairytale (Tink and Peter) are MAGICAL. Ava Harrison's words are perfection, one of those authors you never forget and always 1-Click.

Wow, just wow... Another new to me author and I am slapping myself for not jumping on her stories before now! Another author for me to stalk! (But in a professional, respectable way of course!) Ha!!
in-ten-tion is the story of Nathaniel and Madeline.
This story is gonna run your heart through the blender. This story is full of feels, all the feels! From laughter to sorrow and swooniness. The "Peter Pan" element of the story was magical and I loved the nicknames that Nathaniel and Madeline had for each other.
The slow burn of their relationship kept me turning the pages until the very end and I was sad that it was over.
I could really empathize with the struggles that Madeline is going through. A huge bonus for me is being able to really delve into a character like that is a testament to great writing.
Nathaniel is the epitome of the alphahole playboy. He hasn't needed to face his responsibilities until it's almost too late.
You can bet that I will be going back and adding all of Ms. Harrison's books to my TBR list! I loved getting a glimpse at secondary characters that I am sure have their own stories. She teased enough about them to really grab my attention and made me want to know more!
You have a new fan in me Ava Harrison! Well done and I can't wait to see what comes out next!

AHHHH! In•ten•tion was my my first Ava Harrison read and honestly I don't know what took me so long. This novel was outstanding!!! Nathaniel and Madeline had chemistry in spades and their spirited and fiery banter was absolutely delicious. This story was sexy, emotional and very raw. I laughed, cried and swooned all while reading this in one sitting. I loved this story so hard!!
Anyone who knows me knows that enemies to lovers books are my jam. There is something about the battle of wills and the amped up sexual tension that just gives these stories an added punch. But factor in the added bonus of a fake relationship storyline and you have an amazing read that will stay with you for ages. In•ten•tion fit this bill entirely. Madeline and Nathaniel's story was filled to the brim with palpable chemistry that came off the pages. Their "fake relationship" and the drama and heated moments that ensued as a result were the icing on the cake. I loved the powerful feelings this story evoked in me. I laughed and swooned at Nathaniel's pursuit of Madeline and then ached and cried for her and all that she went through. I was consumed from start to finish!
All in all, this was an exceptionally well written novel highlighting the significance of love and how it is in fact the most important legacy we can hope to leave behind. I loved this story and can not wait to read additional stories by this author in the future. Bravo! 5 stars! ~Ratula

5 Star Review Intention by Ava Harrison
I fell for Nathaniel Harrington hook, line and sinker, although having said that he really was an arrogant, egotistical jerk at the beginning of the book. There were times that I wanted to smack Nathaniel across the back of the head for his behaviour. The pain and suffering that Madeline (Tink) Montgomery went through was palpable, and the anguish, sadness and sense of loss almost had me in tears.
I truly loved how independent and strong Tink was. She had no problem standing up to Nathaniel when he was overbearing and the banter between her and Nathaniel had me in stitches at times, they played off one another brilliantly.
Ava Harrison wove such an interesting story that I couldn’t put this book down. As a friendship between Nathaniel and Tink forms, it slowly morphs into so much more as their intense attraction for one another comes to the surface and cannot be ignored.

Intention is an extremely well written story about coming to terms with what cannot be changed and taking a leap of faith that love, trust and hope can conquer all. It was one of those books that touched me on so many levels ; a wonderful book to read and listen too. Ava Harrison had me riveted from the first to the last page.
I fell for Nathaniel Harrington hook, line and sinker, although having said that he really was an arrogant, egotistical jerk at the beginning of the book. There were times that I wanted to smack Nathaniel across the back of the head for his behaviour. The pain and suffering that Madeline (Tink) Montgomery went through was palpable, and the anguish, sadness and sense of loss almost had me in tears.
I truly loved how independent and strong Tink was. She had no problem standing up to Nathaniel when he was overbearing and the banter between her and Nathaniel had me in stitches at times, they played off one another brilliantly.
Ava Harrison wove such an interesting story that I couldn’t put this book down. As a friendship between Nathaniel and Tink forms, it slowly morphs into so much more as their intense attraction for one another comes to the surface and cannot be ignored.

I'm totally going rogue and telling you all the things! Because this book is incredible!!
Nathaniel is HOT. Cocky. Arrogant. Sexy AF. So, so dirty. His flirty nature is OUT OF THIS WORLD. You'll want to slap him and fuck the living daylights out of him all at the same time!!! This British hero is gonna SLAY all of you and melt you into a pile of NOTHING!
Madeline is just the PERFECT heroine. She's sexy, she sassy, she gives as good as she gets. She's strong and can handle herself with class but she's vulnerable and has real issue that Ava handles with grace and writes perfectly!
Ava's writing is SUBLIME! This book is PURE BRILLIANCE Absolution is my FAVE Ava Harrison novel but I feel like you cannot compare Absolution to Intention because they are both SO DIFFERENT but both so utterly PHENOMENAL in their own rights...

Wow. Another brilliantly emotional love journey by Ava. This is only my second book by the author but I can’t tell you how much I love her writing. It leaves me breathless each time. It’s smooth and heartfelt and just plain perfection. It was a mix between a modern day Peter Pan fairytale and an enemies to lovers romance. I love the slow build up between Nathaniel and Madeline. The chemistry was red hot and when they came together they were combustible. There was some angst with lots of emotion. At one point I was balling my eyes out and cheering for that HEA. That’s the kind of book that stays with you.

Intention is one very emotional rollercoaster. My heart broke for the characters so many times, omg. I liked the slow-burn relationship between Madeline and Nathaniel. Ava Harrison couldn’t have gone wrong with the enemies-to-lovers trope since it’s one of my favorites. And the fake-dating twist got me turning the pages even faster. I really, really enjoyed this book.
Nathaniel Harrington ’s family legacy rests on his shoulders. He needs to face his responsibilities before it’s too late, but he’s simply not ready. He’s hot, a bit immature, arrogant and one big playboy. Once he realizes that he needs to grow the fuck up, stop fucking around and prove to his grandfather that he’s worthy of the legacy, he buys a company and looks for a (fake) girlfriend.
Madeline is strong, beautiful and doesn’t take crap from anyone. She needs to be in complete control in her life and when she realizes that the handsome Nathaniel is the new owner of the company she works for, all is put in jeopardize. I have to admit that I quite didn’t like the fact that she was 2 years older than him, but other than that I truly loved her.
Madeline and Nathaniel were so good together. The back and forth banter between these two was absolutely fantastic, and they had an undeniable attraction. I loved their sizzling sexual tension and palpable chemistry.
Overall, Intention is a sexy, heart-wrenching, raw romance full of twists and angst that will leave you captivated.

Intention by Ava Harrison is a modern day fairy tale that pulls at your emotions and promises the best of happy ever after!
This book is just the second book I have read by Ava Harrison but I love her writing style and get lost in her stories. In Intention, she gives us the enchanting story of the man that refuses to grow up and the woman that feels better off alone.
My heart was breaking for Madeline who has a screwed up perception of her value as a woman. Determined to put her career first she has no time for the man that refuses to leave her alone especially since he needs her for his family legacy. Readers will adore Nathaniel, and why wouldn't they? He knows who he is and makes no bones that he refuses to grow up. He has money, privilege, women and doesn't care if anyone thinks less of him because of it. But meeting Madeline makes him a better man and I think he was more surprised than anyone how much he wanted to grow up.
What was fun was reading the banter between Madeline and Nathaniel. She got to see through to the man he is deep inside and he got to see beneath the Ice Queen's facade. I thoroughly enjoyed the smart, sexy emotional read and can't wait to read more!

The story started off pretty funny and interesting. A playboy who needs to prove his worth urgently to the board.
I love how the plot was and the story is totally fun to read. I do recommend to read this, at least I laughed when I'm reading.

This story and characters are EVERYTHING. A story that consumed me and obsessed completely, that hooked me from the first words and I just could not put it down. My favorite of the author to date.
Nathaniel and Madeline gahhhh, I love them, their chemistry, the intense attraction that simmers, their battle of wills, their banter, those intense fights, and that sexual tension, ufff. It is completely captivating and delicious, it had me reading practically without breathing.
Intention is a sweet, emotional, sexy, raw story that made me laugh, cry, and sigh.
Enemies to lovers is one of my favorite tropes. And in this case, the fake relationship is the cherry on the cake. I died of laughter reading their discussions, their scenes trying to drive the other crazy, and despite their start with the left foot, as their relationship develops and they interact, their intense attraction and tension sexual is impossible to deny, and practically It explodes in scenes that can ignite any room. In addition, the story has a dramatic part that evoked in me sensations so intense that they made me cry, and heartbreaking moments that tore my soul, my heart hurts a thousand times for Madeline and all that she has to live.
This is a very well written story, which has the characteristic style of Mrs. Harrison, which emphasizes the importance of love and how despite everything, it is always worth fighting for it.
Definitely a story that you will not want to miss. A MUST READ.

Además, la historia tiene un tinte dramático que evocó en mí sensaciones tan intensas que me hicieron llorar, y momentos desgarradores que destrozaron mi alma, mi corazón duele mil veces por Madeline y todo lo que ella tiene que vivir.

More than I Bargained For!!!
Everything I'm looking for in a book: Strong, Determined & Sexy Lead Female; Lovable, Stubborn Male - they can turn their lives into something better together, the way it should work. However, this book goes a step further and gives me more than I bargained for in the character of Madeline, who is flawed with something so many women suffer from, endometriosis. And just like me and as she goes through the pain, fear, and throughout the chapters I fell in love with the Author who gave me the connection to this woman. Ava Harrison doesn't just write the hot steamy scenes I want from a romance book, she also delves into the character development and brings out the flaws that make the characters believable....and I believe in Madeline so much. The real touch and feel of the character and her pain came through in the amazing performance by Andi Arndt. Ms. Arndt is the Queen of Narration for a reason, and Ms. Harrison gave her perfect material to let her skills shine. Hurt, pain, sorrow, love, passion, intelligence -- we got it all from Andi for Madeline.
And then there is Nathaniel, who starts of as your typical spoiled rich brat that probably has a heart of gold under that sexy exterior....because that's how typical romances go. But then again, Ms. Harrison turns what you think you know into something deeper, a connection to a past, a connection to a future and a drive that you didn't know could come from this male protagonist. I loved the way Shane East played the cocky, sarcastic parts of dialog between Nathaniel and Madeline -- you could feel the heat building along with the mutual respect as the two worked side by side. Then there's always the "more" you get when listening to Mr. East; that gritty, sexy, soulful sound that you desperately want to hear during the moments of passion. Oh does he deliver the O's so perfectly.
The book becomes art when an author can touch a part in your heart because you are living the health struggle yourself and the words are carried upon two voices with so much "Intention". Thank you all for this art.
