Unexpected enemies, unlikely alliances, and one struggling reaper.
The Earth crystal is missing, and I have no clue who took it. To make matters worse, the Council knows about my forbidden abilities. They still want my help to find the remaining artifacts, which means hey must be desperate…but for what?
Now I’ve partnered up with Charlie, my deceased best friend’s brother. The only problem is that he blames me for his sister’s death. I just hope this isn’t one more thing that will blow up in my face. I’ve had enough of that the past month to last the rest of my life.
As the truth begins to unravel, the pressure of making the right choices lands square on my shoulders. If I make one wrong decision, the world as we know it will be over.

Reading has always been one of my favorite hobbies, even as a little girl. When I was a toddler, my parents would read stories to me over and over. I would hear them so often that I had the books memorized and could recite the story word by word.
My favorite genres are fantasy, paranormal, and contemporary romance. So of course that's what I'm inclined to write.
I have a husband, two young daughters, and a mini Australian Shepherd. I've lived in Tennessee the majority of my life and love the state.

Reaper of Wings by Jen L. Grey brings us the return of Christina. This book picks up where the first one left off and her problems are not only the same but start multiplying! The earth crystal is still missing. Problem #1. The council is aware of her unique abilities. Problem #2. Now, one of the council has her at their beck and call. Can a girl not get some peace?! Problem #3. Problem #4? She's gotta find the angel's breath and that won't be an easy thing. She needs a realm jumper but her usual helper...Becca...seems to be not only AWOL but something serious is going on with her. Christina definitely has her work cut out for her and things just...keep...coming! Reaper of Wings, for me, is a definite improvement over book one. I liked book one, but I enjoyed book two more. I have to say I applaud Christina for really restraining herself with the council. Haha! I'd have snapped at them for constantly calling and say "come quick." Plus, having the audacity to say half the time "what took you so long?" Like seriously?! LOL! There are definitely hints of romance going on between Christina and her dead best friend's brother. It's fun to read the interactions and reactions when people say something to them about what they themselves see. The character development in this book is well done and I love that it comes with more than one character and in an unexpected place as well. There really isn't anything that I don't like about this book. I like the shifts that happen with the characters and how it all blends together. There are bits and pieces that the author leaves the reader hanging on but I'm sure that they will be addressed in the next book. My only question is...when will the next one be coming exactly? I'm eager to learn more. LOl! I am rating this book 5 out of 5 stars. I enjoyed this story, the twists, turns, and surprises that the author gives us. It definitely kept me engaged and wanting to know what was going to happen next. If you enjoyed the first book in this series then I recommend that you grab this book and get to it!
If young people will read it, editors ne ed to do their job better at editing grammatical mistakes. Is that not their job? Or the software used should have picked up mistakes but did they choose to ignore it?
The first book was not my favorite, and after struggling halfway through the second, I just had to give up. I got tired of the teenage angst, attitude, selfishness, immaturity, I mean the list goes on.... so I gave up. I don't want to go into details and completely bash it.... soooo let's just say this is not the series for me.
Just when Christina gets her own place and jobs line up the council starts ordering her around again ,with the threat of killing her parents. They want the artifacts and Christina has no idea she is the only one who can get them. With Charlie by her side she jumps into one danger after another. And with Damian breathing down her neck along with the Council, things are really heating up. Looking forward to book 3.
This book started slower than the first one but it was a great story. Christina is really coming into her own and I love how the word is growing. Great cliffhanger too!!!!
This series just keeps getting better! I was so far from disappointed with this second installment. The character growth is amazing and I can't get enough of Christina and Charlie's chemistry!
Christina is back is the 2nd book looking for the next artifact. With the help of Charlie they have to find the next one or there will be trouble coming in the way of Council. With other things and some things missing will they he able to find what they need or will others get their way and see them fail? Amazing read with action packed twist and turns to keep you wanting more and more. Can't wait to read the next one.
Christina and Charlie grow closer in this one. The search for artifacts interrupt her getting back to everyday life. Bit of a twist to the story and more is explained.
I think Reaper of Wings has to be the best of what I have read by Jen L Grey so far! In Book 1, Reaper of Earth, I had had some concerns about certain scene developments and the characterization of Christina's parents. But this book did not disappointment with answering/fixing those questions/concerns and more.
I especially enjoyed the suspense and mystery this book added to the series. You learn more about the importance of the artifacts and why they are being sought after. And yet, there is still more to discover that makes me wish book 3, Reaper of Flames, was already out.
I would definitely read Reaper of Earth first, but I think that any reader of paranormal/urban fantasy fiction like Cassandra Clare's Mortal Instruments series or watchers of the TV show Supernatural would enjoy this book.
Another great addition to this slow-burn, action-driven mystery. More answers are revealed but I loved how they led to even more questions. I’m enjoying the guessing game and trying to figure out the who’s and why’s before they’re revealed. I did feel the story stalled a little in the middle but the ending was filled with fast-paced events that kept me turning the pages. The artifact search leads to an interesting new realm and the mix of paranormal characters is amazing. I have so many theories that I can’t wait for the next book (and more Charlie)!
After retrieving and losing the Earth Stone, Christina has a new challenge in front of her - retrieving the second artifact, the Angel's Breath. But it comes with lots of problems and obstacles. Starting with a warrant on Christinas head, then setting up her own independent place, pressure and blackmail from the side of council and demons, and not mentioning the problem of realm jumping... Christina has a lot on her plate, and without Charlie's support, it would be incredibly hard to move forwards sometimes. In general, I really enjoyed the book. Especially the second half was a whirlwind of action and emotional turmoil. In the first half, I loved to watch the change in relationship between Christina and Charlie. Their interactions became more and more interesting, and I was sad there was not enough of them in one room after going away with Becca. The change in Christina when it comes to handling and understaning things aroud her also showed a great character development. However, I was struggling a bit to follow the changes in Christina's parents personalities, especially with her mom. They were so abrupt and sometimes hard to understand I could not get this element right. It did not sit well with me and I could not connect with them until the very end of the book. There were also some minor issues I was asking myself, about Margaret and her skills.. But all in all, it is a very enjoyable book, and I would definitely read the next one to continue the journey.
This book basically takes off where the second book stops. Christina and Charlie are still up a creek without a paddle, but the hit gets taken off Christina so she can actually do something about it. At the beginning of the book, a lot of things happen to Christina that are really continent. The demon for example knows that the earth crystal is gone, but Christina needs Becca to get the Angel's Breath which makes this entertaining for poor Christina and Charlie. It sorts itself out before we're at half the book and it gets more unpredictable which, to me is good. Christina gets the chance to grow up a little in this book. Finally, but she's still under the watchful gaze of the council. Starting to really want them just dethroned please. I can't wait until the next book so we find out more about Christina.
The best book Jen L. Grey has ever written!! This really had so many things happening, but the plot remained solid and true to the overall theme. I loved that we saw tremendous character growth! And not just in Christina! There are other characters that are circling in her sphere that undergo this metamorphosis. We see more of what drives most of the core characters. Throughout all of these revelations and changes of hearts, our MC questions everything which I could not praise enough!! It would have been infuriating if she just accepted things and I would have lost all desire to continue on with her story. Bravo to Ms. Grey!!! She executed one amazing feat and created a very memorable and inspiring female main character. You won't want to put this down once you begin it and see everything transforming before you. I'm so looking forward to the next book in the series 💗💗💗 The covers to this series have been utterly captivating!!
I really enjoyed reading this book. There is great character development in this book, and we get to see Christina realizing just what her potential truly is...but her full purpose in life is still a bit cloudy. She is surrounded by a cast of characters that range from helpful to dangerous, and sometimes it's hard to realize who is who until it's almost too late. If you enjoy fantasy stories that involve reapers and other supernatural creatures, you will enjoy the unpredictability that is this book.
Great 2nd book. Started slow up got going and loved the end! Christina is finally standing up for herself and Charlie is finally caring and helping her. Feel sorry for Becca and what she is becoming. Lots of questions got answered but more popped up. Can't wait to read the next book!
Way more then I was expecting! Loving the way this series is heading. The characters are really started to show their true selves. Excited for what's to come!
Reaper of Wings is the second book in the series. It is a must to read them order. Otherwise the reader will not understand what is going on and have too many questions to enjoy this book.
That being said: Reaper of Wings takes off where book one left us and the path of discovery continues. Without giving away any spoilers, I will say that I found myself enjoying this book more than the first but see where book one was more about starting Christina and Charlie's journey. So excited to see where they go from here.
Expect surprises, twisted gifts, and shocking personality changes (for the good I swear). Read to discover how Christina handles her unusual gifts.
Super intense! I felt like I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. Christina's life if forever changing and everyone seems to paint her in a corner so she has to do what they "ask". Loving how her relationship with Charlie is progressing. And her parents? Jaw dropping 180 turn around from them. I hate the council and am so disappointed in Damian. Demons Angels teleportation non stop action. What more could you ask for. Can not wait for book 3.
Great book! Absolutely loved this book and how the characters grew in it. Can’t wait to see what happens in the next book! This is the second book in the series and be sure to read book one first.
Turns out Christina is more awesome than we knew. I love it. Charlie and Christina are growing closer while working together. I think the council is realizing Christina is stronger than them all. We finally get to see who her parents really are. This story has action, the feels and suspense.
This installment was intense. I love the characters and can't wait to see what happens next. I am hoping Christine can save everyone but I am not sure she can. I guess we will see.
I am very much enjoying this unique series. Christina and Charlie are awesome together. It has a good plot with lots of twists and turns. I can't wait for the next book.
I loved the ups and downs in Christina and her moms relationship. Whiplash! Book 2 is just as awesome as the first one. Christina steps out on her own and into adulthood but the Council isn't far behind. Just when she thinks things are finally getting back on track and she's left her reaper world behind there's a twist. Christina's life is always a rollercoaster. I loved this story!
Cristina moved into her new apartment but then had to hunt for the earth stone but kept drawing blanks seeing only the angels breath she kept trying though and later on the council tells her find the angels breath or they will kill her parents so she did but they never said she had to give it to them. After she refuses to give it to them she saves her parents and goes to stop her old "friend" who is in some secret organization but then finds out the elemental objects fuse, for lack of a better word, to her. Then Cristina and Charlie are now on the run trying to track the other elemental objects before anyone else. Will they be successful

Just when you thought it couldn't get better it did. Christina and Charlie are an amazing team and I love how their relationship is growing. there's a lot of twists and shocking secrets in this book. And it kept me reading until I was finished in Just couldn't put it down. I can't wait to read the next in this awesome series
Book 2 in this series, so definitely check out book one before this one for the full story. Entertaining story with some fun, unique ideas! Love that there’s reapers, demons, angels, and more! Some cool magical elements too!
Christina is still on the outs with the reaper council, so when this story opens she is moving to a different town and is living on her own; still nearby to where she lived, so I’m not quite sure how the council doesn’t find her. It turns out the Reaper council is willing to not kill her if she’ll work for them on finding those four magical artifacts. Of course, they don’t give her much choice when they threatened her parents and herself. There’s also more enemies out to make things difficult for Christina too; lots of shadiness and danger going on. Some good action going on too. Plus, she has a little help from Charlie too; they are finding out some new information about his sister that they want to look into, and Christina’s parents are finally acting nicer towards her. It’s nice Christina has some help, but Christina mainly works on her own; trust is difficult when people keep treating her poorly. Glad Christina is starting to realize that she should think through decisions before just helping undeserving people get super magical artifacts they could use for evil; she’s maturing which is good. Excited to continue the series and hopefully Christina will continue to grow as a character!
This is book 2 in the Artifact Series, so if you haven't read Reaper of Earth- stop and read it first, it will make your reading experience so much richer. Christina sure does manage to find herself in some interesting situations, I think it's a gift , she however may feel differently lol I love that Charlie and Christina's relationship is going ahead leaps and bounds! Ooohhh the left turn, well more like a u-turn, another relationship has will blow your mind. The storyline has thrown a few curves balls, revealed some shocking secrets and has you questioning who is friend.....and who is foe? Cannot wait to see what's next!
This is the second book in the series and it takes the story to a deeper level. The action, the characters, betrayals, relationships and mysteries will keep you hanging on every word! I find the main characters inner monologues are getting more tolerable as she experiences more and grows into herself. There's more dangers encountered, adventures to different realms, new being faced as she seeks to do what's right yet tries to hold on to her intuition.
Reaper Of Wings by Jen L. Grey is the 2nd story in the Artifact Reaper Saga. The story picks up where Reaper of Earth left off. Christina's problems just keep growing. Although I enjoyed the 1st story, I think there is alot of improvement in this 2nd one with both writing style and character development. I found myself completely caught up in the story this time and cant wait for more!
