oof this had so much potential, and i loved the heist aspect and the two top tier thieves battling with each other and foiling each others training and secret rooms. what took a turn for me was realizing Jade (Crystal/Emerald) was just only 18 and is the memory of the young 'girl' jacob slept with at the sex club / brothel and has been lusting over ever since. i can read age-gap, but this took a turn for me about how he remembered her/described her at that time. And, this was trying to maybe be a 'dark' romance but it didn't succeed in that.

I really enjoyed this book. The heist and the action kept me entertained. I finished this all within a day. I will definitely be reading more of the Cards of Love Series.

This story starts out with a bang and doesn't slow down until the end. I loved everything about it.
Jacob is an accomplished thief who has made millions selling what he has stolen. After his latest job of stealing the seven swords, he calls for a little female companionship. He gives his preferred description and what he gets is more than he bargained for.
Jade is the beauty who was sent from the escort service he called but she was so much more. There was a spark between them and after a great night together, but when Jacob wakes, Jade isn't then only thing missing. He learns she is also a thief.
The things Jacob goes through to find Jade and get the sword hilts back is a great mystery to this whole story. And you have to love the gadgets and hidden rooms and don't forget the references to the Vigilante's.
Will Jacob find Jade and the missing swords before she sells them? Does Jade know what she has stolen from him? Who else is after Jade or are they after the sword hilts instead?
This story will keep you on the edge until the end but it is worth it. I didn't want to put it down even to sleep. If you haven't read anything from J.J. Knight, you can start with this one or read one of her MMA or Rockstar series books, I hope you will love them too.

Fast moving, fun, enjoyable read with a side of steam. High tech thieves, puts the adage “no honor among thieves” to the test. There is a twist to this one, with romance woven in that makes this story one of my favorites. Don’t miss this one. Good read.

Seven of Swords is a phenomenal masterpiece that will delight your senses with its power-driven adrenaline and its breathlessly captivating passion. This story is so refreshing and perfect with its delicious twists and turns along the way that will melt your heart completely and enthrall your senses the entire time. Putting this book down will prove close to impossible as you find yourself racing towards something you never imagined could ever happen. I felt like this brilliant story revived and refreshed my restless heart and mind to prove that you can always find exactly what you want in a good book.

When you have your entire life so severely mapped out that you remove all possibilities of surprise or any small joys along the way, then you would begin to understand Jacob. He is desperate to keep things in line and out of way of chance. Only then can you truly be the master of your domain, life, and future. However, fate raraly leaves those people to stay in that rigid mindset. In fact, she takes wicked joy in turning their lives upside down. Watching as the chaos she brings in the form of Jade will wreak untold havoc on his pristeen world brings her a wonderful sense of satisfaction. Jade has secrets that will turn Jacob’s world on its head. She makes a grand entrance into his life by capturing his heart in a way he never knew possible, and at the same time sets a ticking time bomb that is sure to obliterate his finely tuned life. He is utterly helpless to do anything but see just how far he is willing to chase Jade down this dangerous and dark rabbit hole.

I was absolutely intrigued by the iron control of Jacob and the blazing hurricane that is Jade. She shakes up his world and leaves him delightfully confused and happily disenchanted. Jade brought new life and meaning to Jacob’s grey and meaningless life. I feel in love with both of these extraordinary characters. They stormed into my life and stole my heart and imprinted themselves on my soul. What a fabulous adventure that you will never see coming!



J.J. Knight is an extraordinary author who never fails to delight and entertain. She knows how to capture your attention and how to keep it the entire. Her story will leave you utterly breathless and lost in the wonderful world of her stunning creativity and fantastic talent. If you don’t end this story with a huge smile on your face, then you never truly opened your heart to the endless possibilities found within this masterful journey. Suspenseful, nail biting action and just the right amount of humor.

J.J. Knight has written a superb story – Seven of Swords – with just the right amount of humor rolled into this sexy, nail biting, thrill ride, action packed book.



Jacob and Jade are rival thieves and Jade has pulled a fast one on Jacob by stealing the loot from the biggest heist he's ever pulled off. She is one smart cookie as well as being so enchantingly beautiful that he can't forget the one glorious night they had together. Jade has an agenda, one that she can't let Jacob know about but she's also unable to forget him.

This book has more twists and turns than Lombard Street in San Francisco. Just when I thought I knew what was going on JJ Knight threw in another curve ball. Right from the beginning this book had the feel of her alter-ego-pen-name Annie Winters writing. Fans of her Vigilante stories will be happy to learn that there are references to that series in this book.



To say that the story kept me on the edge of my seat would be very true and if only real life had cooperated I would have finished this in one sitting instead of it taking me a few days. ☹



If you like action-packed romantic suspense with a large does of sexy time don't wait to pick this one up. There's no cliffhanger (yay!) but I was certainly left wanting to read more stories about further escapades for Jacob and Jade or perhaps stories for a few of the interesting supporting characters.

I borrowed this book with Kindle Unlimited and want to thank the author for offering this book on the program.

When I hit the chapter that was set at the Den, I almost shut the book and returned it. The misogyny was rampant and almost too much for me to handle. Thankfully, the blurb and first two chapters were fantastic and I jumped ahead in the book to see what I was in for. I just want to say, if you feel the same way as I did - stick with the story. It has great characters to both love and hate. The plot changes course in the blink of an eye and just when you think you know what is going on, it changes again. Loved the story (eventually) but there are some very important unanswered questions, thus the 4.5 stars; however, the story does have a pretty good ending. Freakin' loved Janet!

I was given an ARC of this book. To be honest, though, I would have read it anyway. I've read and enjoyed several of JJ's books and am always willing to read another!

I loved this book. If it wasn't for having children I would have sat down and read this entire thing in one sitting. It was pure torture having to stop and restart the story. The characters are complex and you are constantly trying to figure out the next thing thats going to happen before it does. I really hated that the book had to come to an end. The only thing I can say bad is that I wish there was more of it!! Maybe a sequel sometime in the future?? We can only hope! So if you like mystery, action, a touch of sexy scenes, then this is the book for you!! Go give it a read!

Have you read the teaser for the book and the summary that gives the description of the tarot card, seven of swords? Then you know there's intrigue afoot. JJ Knight paints a storyline of intrigue, sexual chemistry, and an underlying competition between men and women within the Den of Thieves. The characters are just as you imagine. Self centered egos, each thinking they're the best. Clues like bread crumbs are laid keep the reader absorbed into this drama until all unfolds. What a great storyline.

Absolutely loved this book. Once I started it I just didn’t want to stop. We are introduced to Jacob and Jade. Jade came into Jacob’s life and everything began to change. This book takes you on a journey where you want to find out all the mysteries that are involved. I didn’t want this book to end but I loved the way it began and ended. J.J. Knight did it again.

Great story

This is a spy story full of action, intrigue, and adventure. Jade and Jacob are a perfect match for each other; both characters are strong, stubborn, and clever. There are a few big twists thrown in that I did not anticipate. Full story, HEA, no cliffhanger. Great book!

If you follow JJ, this is the other side of the Vigilantes. Jacob is character you can't help but like. He gets bested by a woman, but not just any woman. The battles of wits and skills begin. Oh btw Jax has a cameo 😁

Loved this book. Jacob is a high level con man - who gets played by Jade, an escort he hires for the night. Turns out, Jade isn't really an escort and has been planning this for a long time.

Jade gets carried away and takes more than she should when she manages to break into Jacob's safe. This is a rollercoaster ride, instant attraction, hot sex and characters that you can actually get behind, even though they are con artists. Another winner.
