Ten years ago Ryan and Lexie fell in love, but she needed to get her life sorted out first. Now the universe has brought them back together, but is this timing any better than the first? I had a lot of fun with this “fated mates” story that didn’t have a lick of the supernatural about it. I loved Lexie and Ryan, their connection is instant and compelling. The ex-wife, however, is evil incarnate.

I loved reading this book. This is about a multicultural second chance romance but with a realistic twist. This is a unique book about the meanings of past relationships, present relationships and the children from these relationships. The H Sam St. John is twenty-four and on a last hurrah with his three closest friends, his cousin Tom Whitmore who has been his closest friend since childhood, his other two friends, Pete and Jeff whom he has known since junior high. On the way to Vegas they pick upped a hitchhiker, a gorgeous Latina with striking features, bronze skin, long legs and a generous bosom. Sam knew something was off about the new passenger but he has no idea what. He suspects something bad happened to her. When they get to Vegas they drop her off at the hotel where they were staying at. She went and sat in the lobby. The four guys went to their rooms and got ready for a night on the town. They were having a grand time gambling. Then Sam went back to the hotel on his own. There he saw the guard on duty manhandling the hitchhiker getting ready to throw her out of the lobby. Sam stepped up and told them she was his girlfriend. He could see the fear and desperation in her eyes but when he told the guard she was his girlfriend, he could tell she was grateful. Sam took her out to dinner. They talked and he found out her name was Lexi. Lexi told him she was running from an abusive ex and that she was running for her life because the ex would kill her if she didn't. She was going to MIT on a full scholarship. She wanted to become a scientist and help people live a better life but her ex cut her off from her family, friends and school. They talked and the emotional connection and chemistry between them was there. They spent a passion filled night together. The next day Sam took Lexi to the airport and bought her a ticket to San Francisco where her parents and sisters lived. He also gave her two thousand dollars for incidentals. She did not want to take the money but Sam insisted. They felt the loneliness of parting when Sam said next time they meet they would spend more time together. Ten years later: Sam was working for the family company St. John & Co. when his father told him about a new company they acquired and he wanted Sam to go evaluate the company from failure and put it back on the right track. His father wanted him to go to San Francisco for about a year. His father knew about the marriage Sam was in and got out of and wanted him to get out of Chicago for a while. The problem was his daughter Amy. He decided to go to San Francisco and fly back when he had visitation with her. His first meeting with the board of directors and heads of departments was eye opening. Lexi from his past was there. They immediately reconnected. They had coffee after the meeting and talked for a few hours catching up. He finally found out her name was Alexandra Ramone. Afterwards, Sam pulled back from Lexi knowing he had a lot of baggage that he did not want her to get involved with. Lexi was confused that he wanted nothing to do with her. The opposite was true. He wanted her with a passion. A few weeks went by Sam only seeing Lexi at meetings. Eventually his good friend Zane told him to get his head out of his butt and go after her. He did and Lexi responded just as he imagined, she wanted him just as badly. They were together for several months when Sam's ex-wife appeared out of the blue. Lexi ran into Jessica in Sam's office and Jessica told her she was Sam's wife. Sam finally told Lexi about his marriage to Jessica, he told her about his daughter Amy who was not biologically his and what that did to him. He crashed his car, was in a coma for four months and rehab for two years. When he awoke he promptly divorced Jessica for her infidelity. He had only married her because she was pregnant with his baby and then found out by accident that Amy was not his. He told her that Jessica was threatening to stop his visitations to Amy if they did not get back together. So, Sam had to go back to Chicago to fight Jessica for visitation and he did not know how long he would be gone. This is an exciting, riveting story about complicated relationships. I really enjoyed reading it and highly recommend it. I received an Advanced Readers Copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

The girl and the guy sounded very childish for people in their 30’s. I don’t know the details but it sounds strange that a child who was legally yours within a marriage can be taken away when you realise they are not biologically yours. I didn’t understand why they had to cut contacts when he went back to Chicago to fight for his kid. In the world of video calls sounds very strange. People travel/work without their significant others for months without it being an issue so I don’t understand the drama. Lastly, and it’s a personal belief, but I don’t think that you have to tell your family/best friends, your boyfriend personal business. Lexie shouldn’t have shared that Amy wasn’t his biological daughter. It’s too personal.

Good story but....
The writing was inconsistent. The pace was too slow in some places and too fast, not focusing on details, in others. There were quite a few spelling errors as well. Could have been so much more but fell flat to me.

This is a beautiful story about fate for Sam and Lexie. While Sam and his gang of friends spend their last trip of craziness after graduate school they come upon a young woman in need of help and Sam is the only one to see it. They pick up Lexie and drive her to Vegas with them. Later that night Sam sees Lexie again and they spend the night in a restaurant talking until they end up in his room spending one unbelievable night together. The next day Sam helps Lexie get home to her family. Ten years later fate brings them back together in a business meeting. Sam has had a hard time the last ten years as his ex is one crazy, mean and evil woman and lied to him about her pregnancy from the start to trap Sam and have power over him. Finally Sam and Lexie have their second chance to be together and they do after a couple of weeks of Sam trying to move on from his miserable past. They have a couple great months together until the ex stirs the pot and Sam is forced to go back to Chicago to figure out a legal way to deal with her and his daughter so he can move forward with Lexie. Can Sam ever be rid of his ex and give him and Lexie their relationship what is deserves for them to have their own lives? I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

LOVE WINS!!!
Wow! I'm gonna start by saying I love this amazing tale. This is one exciting, heart pounding, pulse racing, page turning treat that shows the lengths some people will go through for love. I really felt bad for the main male having to deal with a selfish, lying, deceitful, betraying, lowdown, piece of crap ex. All the twists and turns, unexpected surprises around every corner with all the drama and heartache you can stand. The two main characters finally find one another after years with the same instant attraction and chemistry as when they first met. They go through hard times but a way to beat the vicious self centered personality of his cheating, lying ex. You have to sort through all the emotions and suspense that keeps your attention on the pages as the story unfolds. The characters are well developed and believable. The scenes are descriptive and detailed it really pulls this little jewel together beautifully. Khardine does an incredible job bringing this read to life. Fantastic job Khardine, thanks for sharing this little gem with us.

Complete Me is the first and second chance story about “the boy and the girl”. Having experienced the most intense and life changing one night stand together, Sam and Lexie part ways to ‘do what needed to be done’. Their experiences differed quite extensively and dramatically while apart. A chance meeting, a decade later, reintroduced the two.
There are few authors who I can say, without a doubt, that regardless the subject, genre or theme of their book(s), it will be an incredible journey and experience. Khardine is one of those authors and Complete Me is one of those experiences. A definite recommendation. I received this book for a voluntary, completely honest and non incentivized review.

I love this second chance romance!! Sam rescues Lexie when she was on the run from her abusive boyfriend. They had one unforgettable night together and when Sam sent Lexi home to her family he knew he would never forget her and told her to make the most out of her life and maybe fate would bring them together again. Fast forward 10 years and Sam is a broken shell of himself. After a disastrous marriage and a horrible accident he needs a new beginning. The new company his family took over in San Francisco is his new start, especially when he lays eyes on Lexi! This is full of twists, guilt, suspense, but also hope and a sweet love that never dies for either of them!

This story had everything. A really hot couple, Sam and Lexie who initially met by chance and gave in to their steamy attraction to each other. Lexie went one way after Sam helped her get home to her family and Sam the other. Fate brought them together again 10 years later. Both of them had experienced very different lives in that time. Lexie making a success of hers thanks to Sam and Sam manipulated into a loveless marriage suffered after an accident and subsequent divorce. The attraction was still there but they had to overcome meddling from his ex-wife. Can't recommend this one highly enough. The best I have read in a long time. Read an ARC for an honest review.

Complete Me was a wonderful second chance story about two people who meet, a newly postgrad, Sam on his way to Vegas with friends and Lexi a MIT drop out running from an abusive relationship. They spend one day in Vegas then separate for ten years. They meet years later, her a scientist he in risk financial. They both have gone through much, him more than her. The storyline is clever on how they reunite they become reacquainted with each other.
VERDICT: Love this story. The author always presents a delicious modern romance and this is a perfect example. Highly recommend this book.

A well written story with nice story line and plot. I like that it is written in dual POV which gives the reader much more of the thoughts and feelings of the main characters and thereby brings the story closer and makes it more realistic.
Two people have a one night stand and meets again ten years later. They have both had a life that was not always good to them. She has made herself a carrier and he has an ex-wife from a marriage he was manipulated into. They have still got the connection and chemistry between them but fate also has the ex-wife thrown in.
A heartwarm very emotional and captivating story that is worth the read. It is very enjoyable and I like that it has an epilogue.

Fast forward 10 years and fate brings them back together.
Sam has had a rough time, almost dying. Lexie has fulfilled her dream. Each has never forgotten the other.
This is told through both their POV. Sam and Lexie are well developed characters and the storyline is one that flows smoothly.
When you first meet these two you instantly feel Lexie shame and need to rebuild her confidence. You just know Sam is a good guy and how he treats Lexie when the first meet will seal your love for this character.

Sam and Lexie mat under extenuating circumstances. He had recently broken up with his girlfriend and was on a final hurrah with his friends to Vegas. Lexie was running away from her abusive ex. They had one momentous night before he paid her way back home to her family. It has been ten years since they saw each other, and Sam has gone through some very emotional trying times but the one thing that remained constant was Lexie. Now that they have found each other again it was like the space between had disappeared all accept his manipulative ex-wife. Can these two put aside the drama and pain and become man and wife? I love, love, love this sexy, sweet romance. Sam and Lexie meet and spend a romantic, steamy 24 hours in Vegas. The chemistry is sizzling and they never forget each other. I really enjoyed this fun and emotional second chance romance. The characters are very likable, their chemistry is hot and the storyline engaging. I felt that Sam and Lexi's book was very relatable. I think most people have met someone that they felt they just clicked with and the time was just not right for whatever reason. The plot takes this idea and runs with it and it makes a very entertaining read. Add in some twists, drama and plenty of emotional turmoil and you have a enjoyable read. I'm posting my totally voluntary and completely truthful review.

I so love it when they are communicating as 3rd person, it's reminding me of "Dear Olivia".
That was a FANTASTIC read! Sam & Lexie were meant to be, their love for each other was written in the stars, and no Jessica of this world could separate them. It took them 10 years to reunited!! There is no chance encounter, ONLY FATE!

A wonderful love story.
This is a well written book that will be enjoyed by women of all ages. It is about an intelligent young woman that falls for a man that mistreats her and is discovered attempting escape near her broken down car by a young man who falls in love with her, yet they don't see each other for many years after he makes certain she is safe and gives her enough money to get to where she was headed.

Oh, I think I fell in love...again. This story of fate and finding yourself is so sweet and sad and just everything. Growing up and having to make choices is hard, but add in bad relationships and being isolated and it just sucks. I enjoyed how they made their lives go on but still thought of each other. Fate makes them meet again and an open heart seals the deal. Well written and believably sweet. I loved it.

What a wonderful read. They had one night together and then life got in the way. Now years later they have a chance again but things are again trying to get in the way again. It is exciting, heartbreaking, emotional, suspenseful, heartwarming and so much more. The way the characters and story is blended so well together this is a must read.

These two had something real that ended too quickly, now they have a second chance that they have to fight to keep. THIS book kept me on my toes and had reeled me in immediately. Wonderful characters and spot on storyline. Really enjoyed and looking forward to more from the author. I’m voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.

Another great book by this author. I enjoyed the story and the way it was written and though that Lexi and Sam were perfect for each other. When you least expect it, love has a way of finding you. Can this be for these two who will both go through life changing events within their lives??? You'll have to read the book to find out.

I only 3 starred this one because of the LACK OF EDITING. Holy crap, there were mistakes all in this book, so much so that it took away from the story.
The story was sweet. Sam and Lexie were soulmates that were separated for a decade. They quickly got back together and blah blah blah. Very little drama. Very little development. And horrible editing. I liked it, but it was still meh.
