Another amazing story!!! Book two in the series, Gold and Ink follows Talia and Ben and their struggle to find happiness. Talia suffers with self worth and even though those that love her are constantly trying to reassure her it’s hard for her to believe she is worthy of that love. Talia has not only Ben to help her with her struggles she has her Brother Danny and John who stands up for her. All the characters in this story really bring a depth to the story that is emotional and intense. The third and final instalment is going to be a page turner for sure.
This book starts with some very powerful scenes, with Talia at rock bottom, you are dragged down into her darkness. Talia has a hard time seeing her self worth in this book, despite those close to her constantly telling her otherwise. While I enjoyed this book, I didn't enjoy it as much as the first book. After the amazing start I felt the story lacked the spark and unpredictable elements that the first book had. Looking forward to the next book.
The second book in this series of Ben and Talia, starts where the first book left off. Ben has realized, that he loves Talia and will do anything to win her back, Talia has been on self destruct mode. Can this couple despite all their differences make it work, can Ben win her back, or will Talia give in to her demons.
If you want to understand yourself better - please read this book. When I was read him, suddenly I was calmer. I found out that there was another person who felt like me, who didn't appreciate herself enough (even if she was just a character in a story). Ally Sky in her wonderful talent, tell the story of Talia Bloom's life almost like we just right next to her.
The books that portray all my fears On each and every one of them i can find my self My fears, my own demons There are ambivalent feelings about talia and her behaviour But Im rooting for you each and every time!
Dnf. It kind of feels like you’re reading the same thing every 50 pages but this book is like 500… plus I don’t really find the characters likeable. And now that I think about it Ben has zero personality imo
EMOTIONAL ROLLERCOASTER you will love every second of!
This is the second book on the series and starts off directly as Lace & Paint finishes. Talia you cannot help but love, she is such a complicated character but at the same time you cannot help but love her she has so many self doubts never thinking she is good enough but the truth is she is AMAZING! Ben sees her for exactly what she is ... a caring beautiful woman and loves her for all her imperfections, Talia just has a hard time accepting Ben truly loves her. This book is a roller coaster of emotions that make you “feel”. It is so descriptive that you fall in love with not only Talia and Ben but you applaud John for standing up for Talia. This particular scene is so powerful and helps to explain what John has experienced throughout his life. Danny is a caring lover brother that took Talia into his home and life to help her start again and even flew across the globe to rescue her. Danny struggles at times to cope with Talia and her tendencies feeling he has bitten off more than he can chew but his love never wavers even though at one stage his frustration made me want to reach through my kindle and strangle him.... the ability to make a reader feel so strongly about a character or scene shows the depth this book has. I cannot wait for book 3, the final book in this trilogy.
