This started out really rocky for me. I mean, Olivia (or Livvy) has a "dream" to marry a doctor. Life-long. As in, her Ken doll was a doctor because that's a good time to establish your marrying criteria. So I knew right away I was dealing with someone immature or shallow (or both, embrace the power of and!). So she's dating a tool named "Slade". And if his name isn't enough to tell you everything you need to know about him, he's selfish, has the charm of gravel, and is as warm as 12 day-old penguin poop.

Anyway, this Slade jackwagon keeps ditching Livvy for "important doctor reasons" that, frankly, don't make any kind of sense (because he's a GP, for heaven's sake!) and in the four months they've been dating has kissed her exactly once (before the start of the novel). And in the weeks so far in, he hasn't kissed her again. And Livvy makes excuses for his behavior time and again and it got old after the first time. She's a small-town librarian! That's exactly my kind of jam! And I can't hardly stand her because she's such a weak idiot.

Mason, on the other hand, is exactly my jam and I was into him from the start. I mean, athletic bookworm who retreated to this small town to break his writer's block? Yes, please. Which is probably why I made it to 53%. Which is when Livvy cheated on Dr. Stupidface by kissing Mason and then deciding to spend a week deciding which one she likes better before coming clean! Who even does this?!? What moral universe does this sound right in? Oh, it's okay because she doesn't plan on trying to get away with anything and will either "break up with him or beg his forgiveness". Oh. Alrighty, then!

Look, a four-month relationship with no more than a single kiss is bonkers. It's practically the definition of my missing-faith tag because literally nobody would think that's even possible without some kind of restraint on the sex. If a guy is calling someone his girlfriend and doesn't kiss her goodnight on their dates, something is wrong with that guy. How does Livvy not know this? This passes naïve to land just shy of born-and-raised-in-a-convent. A medieval convent set on an island surrounded by boy-eating dragons.

So yeah, I'm done. Livvy cheating was bad enough. Planning to deceive her boyfriend while figuring out what she really wants is borderline evil (treating him like a thing to be manipulated/used for her self-gratifying purposes). One star. I'd go lower if I could.

First off, isn't that cover so cute? And it just feels so warm and inviting to me. The cool feel of the blue background with the added stack of books and cute, warm looking mittens...it all makes me feel happy. And let me tell you that not only does the cover make me feel warm and happy, but the inside story made me very happy (and smiley) too!

I am a huge fan of the Pine Valley series by Heather B. Moore. I was beyond happy when she went past the initial three books that I thought she would be writing for this series. Each time I see that she has announced a new book, I give a little squeal and look forward to the time that I get to set down and enjoy this quaint town, and the great characters who live there. I'm really hoping that one of the somewhat main characters in this book gets their own story...fingers crossed. I think it might be a bit of a complicated story, but I think there will be many pleasant surprises knowing the amazing writing talents of this author. If I sound like I'm gushing a little bit, well, it's because I am. I can't help myself. Heather is one of my top clean favorite authors...doesn't matter the genre!

For those book lovers who love stories about libraries, librarians, and authors, this is the book for you. Livvy is the librarian, Mason Rowe is the author and Slade is our resident Dr. We get a little bit of a love triangle here but those of you who don't care for love triangles, never fear, it's resolved and it's a great resolution. Definitely not a love triangle in the sense of the young adult, young girls angsty love triangles.

The romance was very well written in this and very sweet. The friendship and development of the relationship between the two characters who fall in love was a delight to read. I was laughing many times at their banter and silly dialogue. It was a story that was very fun to escape to during this busy time of year, and it just kept calling to me until I had read the last page.

Oh, and I have to say that the characters you love from previous books still have little appearances throughout this book. But if you haven't read any previous books, no worries, you'll not be lost. It's a great series that you can read one, all, in any order, or from Book #1 to Book #6 and be happy. My opinion for optimal enjoyment is to read them all (of course if you have the time)!

Content: Clean. A couple kissing scenes where the main couple makes out but nothing further than some kissing.

I received a copy from the author. All thoughts and opinions in the review are my own.

Happy Reading!!!

This is my first Pine Valley book to read and it's #6, yikes I can see what I've really been missing. This book was so atmospheric, I really felt as though I was in Pine Valley in all that cold, piling up snow and as if I were drinking hot chocolate right along with Livvy. Can't go wrong with hot chocolate, or any type of chocolate really. This is Olivia, but she goes by Livvy, she's a librarian and Mason's story. I really loved seeing the character development . Livvy has had a childhood fantasy of being the perfect doctor's wife. She's carried that fantasy with her into adulthood passing up dates with anyone but doctors. We know she's passed up a lot of great guys out there. Dating Dr. Selfish Put Livvy Last In Importance aka Doctor Dr. Slade McKinney is what she wants he's perfect for her, she's snagged her doctor. But is it what's best for her and is it really what she wants? He's a doctor so he's always on call and is often late for dates and has to leave in the middle of dates. he also doesn't make time often enough for her. When fate has a different plan for her she doesn't realize it yet but she will soon in the form of hunky lumberjack looking writer, Mason Rowe. He's been ordered by his publicist to break his writers block and rent a cabin in beautiful snowy Pine Valley to get his book written. Writing doesn't involve librarian ladies, dating or socializing it entails full on relaxation and writing his book. But when Livvy and Mason seem to keep running into each other Livvy realizes Mason knows how to properly treat a lady and she actually has fun with him. Slade seems to be up for a challenge when he sees Mason may be interested in her and starts to spend more time with Livvy but he still breaks dates and needs to leave dates early. I really, really, had a connection with this book. I absolutely loved it. Will Livvy stay with Slade and not get the respect she needs or will things progress with Mason who is set to go back home to CA soon? I NEED to read more by this author now that I've discovered her!

Listened to the audiobook Sept. 2019--Loved the story just as much. The narrator really makes Livvy and all her awkward moments come to life.

Livvy decides when she's very young that she's going to be a doctor's wife. She's taken this dream so far that in high school she'd screen guys by asking what they wanted to studying after graduation. If it wasn't in the medical field she wouldn't date them!! In college she dated a couple of pre-med students, and now she's dating one of the most eligible men in Pine Valley--Dr. Slade McKinney, who definitely takes her easy going nature for granted. I wouldn't exactly call what they're doing dating, because Slade seems to cancel on her so frequently they only go out every couple of weeks, and even when they go out he's always on the phone and/or leaves early. You'd think he's the only doctor in Pine Valley.

Enter Mason Rowe, an author of thriller novels who has a bad case of writer's block. He's in Pine Valley, far away from San Diego to write his new novel, and goes to the library everyday to write. What are the odds that the head librarian in the small town of Pine Valley is a huge fan of his books? Mason and Livvy hit it off and she soon realizes that Slade aka Mr. Dreamy Doc may be a doctor, but he doesn't treat her very well, and maybe it's time she put away her childhood dream of marrying a doctor.

What's better than a librarian getting together with a bestselling author? Livvy and Mason's first meeting is so funny--homeless lumberjack 😂. These two had instant chemistry and I'm surprised they didn't set the books on fire with all that kissing going on between the bookshelves. It didn't take much for me to be on team Mason because, other than being a doctor, Slade didn't have much going for him in my book. He and Livvy sounded more like buddies than girlfriend/boyfriend--one kiss in 5 months?! Plus there's no way I'm going hiking with some guy at 5:30 a.m. in the snow, not even if he looked like Paul Newman in his prime (yes, I'm showing my age). Especially if he hiked like a possessed mountain goat, and then leaves me to fend for myself when I get a charley horse in my calf.

Mason was the perfect gentleman--following Livvy home to make sure she got home safely in the snow, bringing her goodies from the bakery, opening doors for her, etc. He even shaved his beard for her!! Not too many guys would do that. I'd forgotten that Livvy's best friend is Felicity who works at the bookstore. How great is it to have a best friend work at a bookstore and your boyfriend is a writer? Plus Felicity always has ice cream in her freezer.

Of course I loved this book--just like all the other Pine Valley books I didn't want to put it down. I had to find out how Livvy and Mason were going to work things out.

Ooh, this book made me so happy! I loved the librarian/author characters! (of course I did.) And what can be better than some sneaky hot kissing between the shelves? Ha. It was awesome.

Livvy is a funny girl. She definitely starts this book with some firm goals of marrying a doctor. Even if the doctor doesn't really give her the time of day. Luckily Mason walks into her life and starts showing her that her doctor man might not be all that great. Livvy and Mason start with friendship because that's a very good place to start. Also, Livvy has a boyfriend so there is that too. I loved how their friendship bloomed and then changed. The attraction was zingy and fun. Did I mention the kissing yet? Because it was awesome. :)

I love this whole series. It's one of my favorites. This story is probably in my top two favorites of the series. I'm looking forward to the next book, Let's Begin Again, which is now up for pre-order and will be coming out the end of January.

I've been following this series from the beginning and this one is my favorite! I loved it so much and read it in one sitting. Couldn't put it down!

Livvy thinks she's got her life figured out and has everything planned. Then she meets Mason and her plans don't work anymore.

Mason was awesome. I loved how protective and concerned with her he was from the beginning and I loved that he was writer.

I really liked how their relationship progressed and the ending was worth waiting for.

Highly recommend.

Another fabulous book in the Pine Valley series! Each time a book comes out it's my new favorite ;) This one has a librarian and author... with the best first kiss scene I've read in a while! I loved the character-driven plot, the dynamics of the relationship between Livvy and Mason, the humor and emotion. I do have one argument- I don't think Dr. Slade was ever Livvy's "boyfriend". They were casually dating. He was in no way behaving the way a real boyfriend does. (They would go two weeks without talking or seeing each other!) So I don't think she was cheating on him when she began a relationship with Mason. Which is why I didn't have those icky "eww, she's cheating" feelings. ANYWAY.... Mason is such a contrast to the preoccupied doctor that Livvy can't help but fall in love with him, even though he doesn't fit the future she has planned out for herself. This is a fun story with emotion, humor, and great romantic chemistry!

(The books in the Pine Valley series are only loosely connected and can be read in any order)

Until We Kissed is another great book in the Pine Valley series. Each of these books are so entertaining and are quick, fun reads. It’s easy to fall in love with these Pine Valley characters and stories. I especially loved this plot, as there was an author and a librarian as the main characters. Livvy and Mason have fantastic chemistry and I loved how they interacted. And wow! Their kisses were amazing. The ending is one of my favorites of the series.

Livvy was such a fun character to read. I started reading this book at night, which was a mistake because I stayed up WAY too late. I just couldn’t put it down. The story is fun, the characters are relatable, and there are just enough of those moments where you can grimace in sympathy with the characters.
I loved the book and now I have to read the rest of the series.

Until We Kissed

-‘she’d dated Slade four months before they’d kissed, and he was her dream man. Her doctor.’

Livvy has dreamed her whole life of marrying a doctor. She wants her future to mirror the life of a doctor’s wife she once met and admired. The problem is her doctor boyfriend and all previous boyfriends she dated aren’t really marrying material. Her current boyfriend is a pretty lousy date and he doesn’t seem to care for her as much as he loves his career. Can a famous author make her rethink her priorities and her dreams of marrying a doctor?

I absolutely loved this story! It reminded me of the Aliso Creek series written by the same author and they were my favourite series of hers. I inhaled this book. I just couldn’t put it down. It’s a really great, clean romance with lots of steam. Highly recommended!

Romance, clean; Series but stand-alone read
Livvy's story is a beautifully crafted read. More of a 4.5 for me as a reader, but such memorable scenes, that I rounded up. Livvy's fall for her 'love' was complicated, but a lovely read. Libby and Mason were hurting, honest hearts with great chemistry and genuineness. As they opened up to each other, and watched over each other, their every day, honest interactions, helped join them together. Beautiful setting, great back story with the library and small town setting. This is by far my favorite of this series. It read 'real' and with the beautiful heartfelt romance just a fun, romantic read. Perfect!
I received a copy in exchange for a fair and honest review from the author. This in no way influenced my review.

My kids were asking me once where I worked in high school and college and wondered why I never worked in a bookstore or library. Why didn't I?! I have no idea, but I was slightly jealous of Livvy's job as a librarian and what better flame to flicker than that with a writer.

Although there is a slight love triangle element in this book, that's the nature of relationships sometimes, especially when Livvy's dream since childhood has been to marry a doctor. Life rarely goes as planned and when Mason lands in the middle of her library, all objectives fly out the window.

The setting of this book was as cozy as a crackling fire on a cold winter's day and the romance was like a mug of steaming hot chocolate, filling my every nook and cranny with satisfying warmth. Mason's gruff, yet sweet, ways were a complement to Livvy's hopeful personality.

Loved it from start to finish!

Livvy has always dreamed of marrying a doctor and now she's dating a dreamy doctor, Slade...but that's not working out as well as she hoped because Slade is always busy and they rarely have time together. Then Mason Rowe comes to town. Livvy's the town librarian, and Mason, a famous author fighting writer's block, plants himself in the library to try to get some writing done. As Livvy gets to know Mason, Livvy starts wondering if Slade's the one for her after all.

I have enjoyed all of the Pine Valley romances, but this one might actually be my favorite--which actually surprised me because I don't normally like love triangles or any sort of implication of cheating on your significant other. This book really drew me in, though. Livvy just had a fun personality, and I liked how Mason wasn't afraid to point out that Slade was a crappy boyfriend. The chemistry was great (although not over the top because this is a clean read). This was a just a really great clean romance. 4.5 stars.

I read an ARC from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

I love reading books where the town almost becomes a character all on it's own. Pine Valley is one of those towns. I love that there are so many books set there. And you don't have to read them in any specific order.

This one features Livvy, she's the librarian in Pine Valley. One thing about her that bugged me just a little bit was her boyfriend situation. Livvy decided at a young age that she wanted to marry a doctor. So she's dating Slade McKinney, a doctor in Pine Valley. What really annoyed me was the way she calls him her boyfriend when he really does nothing for her. He only takes her out every few weeks and he just isn't very nice to her.

In fact, when she meets Mason in this one, Slade has taken her on a hike. They left at 5:30 am and when Livvy got hurt, he leaves her to make her way to a lodge and heads off on his own. Wow! He's a doctor, he should have taken care of her. Instead, Mason takes her to the lodge and fixes her up the best he knows how.

I kind of loved Mason. He's a best selling author. He's in Pine Valley writing his next book in a rented house. But he ends up in Livvy's library working on his book most days. He was a true gentleman, always bringing Livvy breakfast or a treat. I loved the way their romance evolved. I didn't like that it made Slade jealous, so he actually tried. Annoying man!

Anyway...make sure to pick this one up. You'll love it as much as I did!

Pine Valley once again has characters you fall in love with and are so compelling, you cannot put the book down! Livvy is a librarian that has always dreamed of marrying a Doctor. Her Ken doll was always a Doctor married to Barbie. Livvy is in a relationship with a Doctor but not much romance is going on after four months of dating and one unimpressive kiss. Will Livvy be able to give up her fantasy of marrying a Doctor for the reality of true romance? Maybe the good looking homeless guy might have the answer.

What a sweet romance. I couldn’t put it down until I finished it. I normally am not a fan of love triangles, but thoroughly enjoyed this one. I love the characters- Slade and Mason are such different men, no wonder Livvy had a hard time choosing between them!
I have read a couple of the books in the series, but don’t feel like I was missing anything for not reading more.

I love the Pine Valley series! I couldn't put this book down! The characters in the series overlap and you get to see glimpses of their lives from different perspectives. The characters are so well developed and lovable. I love the small town setting and the beautiful scenery in the various books of the series.

When it comes to cute and clean romance, Ms. Moore has another fun one. While it was pretty obvious who Liv should end up with from that first hike, it was well developed, and the romance felt really natural. I'd actually like to see more of the Doc's family in later books.

I received a free ebook review copy of this book but was under no obligation to post a positive review

Until We Kissed is book number 6 in the Pine Valley series. Here we get to follow Olivia “Livvy” Harmon, “Finding Us”’s Felicity’s best friend and Pine Valley’s Librarian.
Ever since Livvy was a little girl she always wanted to marry a doctor and have a big, happy and loving family. So it is no wonder she always dated pre-med students and now is in a rocky relationship with Slade, a doctor in the Pine Valley hospital.
Even though Livvy feels like she is never first in Slade’s list of priorities, she keeps making excuses for him- he is a doctor after all.
This starts to change once she gets to know Mason Rowe, a famous thriller author and one of her favorites at that.
Mason arrived at Pine Valley to try to get his mojo back. Ever since a nasty lawsuit the year before he has been suffering from writers block. He already missed one deadline and was determined to get his next book out on time.
Luckily for him the Pine Valley Library opens his muse with great help from its dedicated librarian.
Until We Kissed is one sweet and charming love story. Focusing on breaking free from ones expectations from oneself and learning to let go of the past, Livvy‘s and Mason’s love story is done beautifully and feels very true to reality. I could definitely see a story like that happening in real life. It also never failed to make me smile but also made me want to cry with heartbreak from time to time.
Luckily for me this one had a HEA like all of the Pine Valley stories do I knew it was only temporary;)
I really think this series is becoming one of my favorite contemporary light and happy series 😊
So if you haven’t read any or only a few of these book, I strongly encourage you to catch up 👏🏻

Lastly, I would like to thanyk Kathy from “I am a Reader” for providing me with the opportunity to read and review this book.

I much preferred this book over "Finding Us". I'm not sure if Heather used her own personal experiences as an author to describe Mason, but I quite liked seeing his POV and an author as a character. I liked that he was a loner and brooding. His personality is a great fit for naive, doctor-loving Livvy. Livvy got the reality check she needed. I often think women under value the treatment we deserve and Livvy is a great example.

There are two things I would have liked to see in this book. There is no update on what is going on in Felicity's life from the previous book. While Felicity and Livvy are still friends, I would have appreciated a brief catch up. Also, did Mason leave Sloane McKinley as the bad guy's name in his book? Dumb question, but it matters! :)

This is a great series of stand alone books set in small town Pine Valley. This is my favorite one so far. Mason is a writer of medical thrillers. Mason has come to Pine Valley to get away and hopefully overcome his writer's block. He really needs to produce a new book. Livvy is the local librarian. Their interactions are funny at first then the sparks start to fly. Of course they have some obstacles to overcome. Livvy has a 'boyfriend' who is in the profession she has always imagined for her future husband and Mason is trying to write a book with no distractions and is only visiting. This is a fun, clean romance.

Until We Kissed is a fun, sweet romance for any time of year. (It's set in the fall leading up to Thanksgiving and Christmas, but the holidays don't play much of a role in the story.)

While it would've been nice for Livvy to see the light about her self-important doctor boyfriend earlier on, then all the story's tension would be lost. Instead, Livvy hedges her bets, reluctant to give up her dream of marrying a doctor while falling for the handsome author in the back of the library.

Livvy and Mason have good chemistry, making their eventual happily ever after even sweeter!

ANOTHER PINE VALLEY FAVORITE! This is a sweet little romance series with a loveable cast of characters! Heather Moore does a great job in this story writing about what she knows best--a love story between a librarian and best-selling author. The small-town setting makes you wish you were there and could drop into the local cafe for a cup of coffee and slice of pie with friends. The chemistry and challenges between the couple keeps the pages turning!
