The Dead Spy’s Guide to Espionage is a globetrotting, fast-paced thriller that will keep you turning pages well into the night.Although the Eva Destruction novels can be read in any order, The Dead Spy’s Guide to Espionage follows on directly from the end of Amnesiac’s Guide to Espionage.
Dave Sinclair is a USA Today bestselling author, screenwriter and a really excellent parallel parker. Author of the Scream Queen Detective Agency, Mason Nash, Atticus Wolfe, Charles Bishop, Eva Destruction novels and snarky Post-It notes. The three series have different main characters, but do manage to slip into each other’s series now and then. Dave spends a lot of time in his imaginary world and ignoring the washing. He lives in Melbourne, Australia with his wife and two crazy daughters. He’s also an award winning filmmaker. A title that sounds much more impressive than it really is. He won a best comedy screenplay and cinematography award for one of the short films he wrote and directed, though at the time he didn’t really know what cinematography was. A completed screenplay is currently doing the rounds. Dave’s overflowing bookshelves include many works by Douglas Adams, P.G. Wodehouse, Dashiel Hammet, Raymond Chandler, Janet Evanovich, Ian Flemming, Zadie Smith and John le Carré. To find out more, you can stalk him at all these semi-reputable places:
This book is a fantastic read. Yes, it is the third book in the series, but I believe can be read alone as the author gives clues to past books that keeps everything smooth. As I love this series I do reccomend getting the full picture by reading all the books. I enjoy the characters and how they have grown throughout . The action is fast and crazy and stay awake long into the night entertaining. The culmination of what began in the first book gives a satisfying completion to the story, with the last line in the book becoming the beginning of the next series....I hope Five stars from me Dave Sinclair and you have left me wanting more.
I started reading this and kinda gave up part Wath through then over the year did the same several times. Book 1&2 were way better this! Well I was glad to finish it to get it off my shelf. I'm not sur if I just got bored of Eva or she was written badly I'm guessing the former. I think I lost faith in her and she became as irritating as bishop was ment to be while bishop got better..
Just when you think you have an inkling to what is going to happen to Eva , her story takes a 180 degree turn. Cannot wait in til the next Eva Destruction novel.
