Sugar Daddies #9

Sugar Obsession

Rate this book

It was one innocent date that led to a single kiss. Infatuation was born.

When Tyrone and David agreed to attend John and Jonah’s wedding together, that’s all they meant the date to be. Tyrone doesn’t have much room in his life for a man. He’s more than a little surprised how drawn he is to David. Not only do they have a lot in common for two people who are several years apart in age and social status, there’s a heat between them he can’t deny. Still, Tyrone isn’t sure that’s enough to bridge the gap between them.

David has never been an overly emotional person. In fact, he’s been single more years than he can count. Yet, he felt nothing lacking. Until Tyrone’s kiss, that is. From the first skipped heartbeat in Tyrone’s arms, nothing else matters. David needs all the messy emotions and entanglements he’s avoided. He wants them with Tyrone and he won’t stop until he wins. Unless Tyrone ends up dead first.

If David hopes to keep the man he loves safe, he must do things no one else would ever suspect. Tyrone is worth any risk.

Have you fallen in love yet today?
This is an engaging quick read that leads you through the process of love unexpected.
In this case the book mostly deals with the subject of two extremely busy men trying to find time to be together. The amount of times they are exhausted literally rubs off and wears you down. 🥱😴

But they are both charming and beautiful together.
Charity Parkerson has a special skill of adding a note of dark drama to her bright stories. This is a delicate craft of adding just the right amount as to further the story and make it interesting without taking away from the romance or sexy aspect. And again half of the next story starts in this book, there's always a good hook 🪝that keeps you reading.

One more thing, that last paragraph was a gem🙃😊💎💎💎💎😉

I haven't read the previous book. Turns out, it's fine. I still get it. This one is so cute and sweet and over the top. But this is what this series meant to be I think. Book #2 is still one of my favorites. I have a hunch that the next book is going to be good. But I do not think you could read that book as a standalone. Because there's a lot of scenes with Coy and Law in this book.

Cute

I liked this story. Both main characters sounded so nice, sweet and thoughtful. They were also a good fit. Really liked David!

3,5*

PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

To my ratings:

5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow-
Away-book like
‘Jesse's Smile' or ‚Joey’ from Angelique Jurd,
‘Save the at he kids' series from EM Leya,
‘Love’s Tethered Heart’ from C.L. Etta or
'Liberty' from Seth King),
it's like an A+

4* - very good and will be often reread and is a
WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises
(like most of Andrew Grey’s books)
it's like an A

3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few
times a year (most romances where you can
enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in
hospitals). I can recommend them definitively!
It's like an B+

3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader,
maybe 2-3 times a year. It’s like a B

2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time-
reader (i wouldn't recommend it heartily, but
it was ok). It's like a C-, D

1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too
many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an
absolut NO-GO). It's like failure in the whole
line, dismissed, repeat the class

Tyrone and David agreed to attend their friends John and Jonah's wedding together. Tyrone is a busy vet and has little room in his life for a man but is surprised at just how drawn he is to David especially as even with the difference in ages and social status they have a lot in common. David has not been an overly emotional person and has been single more years than he can count but just one kiss from Tyrone and nothing else matters. David needs all the messy emotions and entanglements he’s avoided. He wants them with Tyrone and he won’t stop until he wins. Unless Tyrone ends up dead first.

This was a sweet story of how a romance started between Tyrone and David and how no matter the distractions, drama and danger David will not be deterred from being with the man he loves. I enjoyed the involvement of all the known and unknown characters from this series to bring these two men together or to keep them safe. The danger to Tyrone was typical of him defending someone innocent and I was just glad that it all worked out alright. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was a MM story with mature content and descriptions of the result of domestic abuse.

“You make me feel…you make me dream…”

Tyrone and David have become use to their lot in life…to be committed to their jobs with no romance or emotional attachments getting in the way. But sometimes when you meet your person, you just know, and in Sugar Obsession, what starts off as a friendly date to a wedding, turns into a steamrolling love affair. From their first kiss, David knows nothing will stand in his way of making Tyrone his…that is until a past lover brings lethal baggage to Tyrone’s door. Will David be able to keep Tyrone, or will a deadly obsession steal him away…

This is the ninth installment to Charity Parkerson’s Sugar Daddies series, and reader, these are a must if you are a m/m romance fan! Highly recommend!!

David and Tyrone are equally smitten with each other almost immediately and use their resources to fill each other’s needs. The chemistry between the pair is good and David doesn’t waste a ton of time wringing his hands that he’s too old for Tyrone. Tyrone, on the other hand, does wax on about how he can’t be David’s equal in terms of resources, but uses his veterinary skills to support the animals in David’s care.
There is an large secondary plot that forces the pair to cohabitate for safety which moves the romantic feels along. It also introduces another future couple Coy and Law; the traumatized anxious brat and calming caretaker. While Tyrone and David’s no holds bared care for Coy is used to demonstrate how good a match they are for each other, it also shows they have holes to fill that can’t be done by the other. It’s a great illustration of how to build multi-faceted characters.
The intimate scenes are a good stab at the older bottom, younger top dynamic with a couple interruptions.
Sugar Obsession checks a couple of troupes off the list in the Sugar series, and tries to explore two couple’s journeys at two different stages of time. Although it’s David and Tyrone’s time to shine, Coy and Law take a lot of stage time.

Beautiful Ty

I love this series, I was so excited Ty got his own story, I couldn’t wait to read it.

Ty an over worked Vet meets millionaire David and they attend a Wedding together. One night changes everything they want out of life and their swoon worthy romance begins.

I adore Ms. Parkerson writing. This whole series is like a cherry on top of the most delicious dessert ever made. The way each character seems to come to life and each story is so realistic, I felt as if HEA really do happen. I’m anxiously awaiting more Sugar Daddies.

So good

Two characters that are absolute workaholics. Jonah and John set up David and Tyrone for their wedding. Who knew they'd actually like each other. David comes from money and Tyrone has to work 24/7 to make ends meet. I loved that Tyrone was a vet and so caring. Coy was quite annoying but he grows on you. David is err everything you can imagine. Loving, caring and totally dedicated. Then you have the ups and downs of any relationship. It's all in the getting there. It was such a wonderful read after a long day of work.

Another amazing story

Wow wow wow! The chemistry between Tyrone and David was so incredible! Tyrone and David are both workaholics, who never have the time to truly live their lives. Upon meeting each other, they realize how much they have let life pass them by. It was beautiful to see them realize there is more to life than a job. And Coy! OMG My heart! I just know his story will be heart wrenching! I can’t recommend this series enough!

Another good one from Charity Parkerson. Two very busy and successful men think they have everything they've ever wanted until they meet and become obsessed with each other. But can they put aside their busy lives long enough for the obsession to deepen into love? Parkerson is great at weaving a sweet love story with tension and a touch of suspense in a book that's only nine or ten chapters. Quick, interesting, sexy reads!

It takes two people to make a relationship work. In this Tyrone-David relationship, David is the one who make the efforts, always initiate to do things because Tyrone is too busy with his works and he doesn't even have time to taking care of himself. Luckily, there's Coy. Tyrone's ex who is employed by David who opens up Tyrone's mind. No matter busy Tyrone is, he has to make time to do something even if it's trivial thing because it means a lot to David.

I seriously love everything M/M that Charity Parkerson has written. There are only a few authors that I’ll read their new release the day it comes out, and she’s one of them. I’m addicted and this book did not disappoint. Tyrone and David falling in love...well, I just really loved their amazing story and how sweet and hot and cute it was from the beginning. I can’t wait for the next book!

Holy heck!! I need more!

Surprises just just coming all the way to the end. Tyrone and David got just what they needed, each other. Poor Coy. I hate seeing someone so down on themself. I hope he can come out of this stronger.

I was a really sweet story but it lacked the intensity that you expect in terms like obsession. Their dynamic was odd and a little off balance as to who the Alpha is in their relationship.

Love the Sugar series!

Sugar Obsession is the story of Tyrone and David. These two men met at the end of John and Jonah's book and the attraction was immediate. Both men has worked their whole lives and have empty lives otherwise until they go to a wedding together. So good!

This one was very sweet. There was no real push and pull between Tyrone and David. Just two people falling in love. There was some drama and conflict but it came from outside the relationship. Coy and his issues tried to take over the story at times but my boys kept it together.

Oooh, I loved that ending. Damn, Charity, you blow me away every time.

Tyrone and David were such a sweet pair to read and I adored their story. But I'm also really looking forward to reading Law and Coy's story.

Sugar Obsession is book nine in the Sugar Daddies

This was a total vibe. I was hoping for their story with how the last book ended. They always provide a lead into the next book.

It was cute. Had some sweet moments. Along with some tension.

Okay? Wow. I wasn't expecting THAT. This book was EVERYTHING!
I mean, David's such a sweetheart... And a psycho as well. I wanted to see more of those twisted thoughts he had over Ty, but wasn't possible and I don't know why. I liked how sweet the relationship was, although I didn't liked how short the book felt.

I don't know how to feel about the last sentence of the book... Damn, that was a very tiny but strong plot twist.
