This book is written as though you’ve NEVER heard of “the perimenopause”. It’s so basic. The only part I found useful was the section on HRT which again, is very simplified.

The very basic facts about perimenopause and the most common aids to ease the symptoms.

I appreciate that this book was written. There’s not enough information or discussion around the topic and therefore people are suffering from symptoms which could be helped.

Some good advice absolutely but thought it was a bit basic.
Eat healthily, exercise, reduce stress and make space to understand and accept the natural change in your body. That is the essence of it and it is good advice for any number of ailments and conditions. The final chapter about the HRT discussion was more interesting. After all the negative press that abounds it was good to read a differing viewpoint. But her remark about life being an unknown and maybe you get hit by a bus tomorrow seemed a tad flippant. Whilst being true, it did make it seem like, you may as well try HRT even if the real dangers are unknown because ultimately we don't know the real dangers to life with many medicines, or life situations!!
Some great takeaways for women trying to manage their changing bodies

Woalia.
