Black Thorn Bar #1

Alpha Dom: Caden

Rate this book
M/M Non-Shifter Mpreg Romance.

The Black Thorn Bar is a hotspot for the city's most daring alphas and omegas, and Alpha Caden is proud to call it his life's work. Despite all the sexy encounters that happen there, Caden hasn't found an omega of his own, though.

He's too hung up on his best friend Oliver—who disappeared years ago after entering an abusive relationship. Now, Oliver's returning to the city with his little girl in tow, and Caden realizes he has a second chance.

Too bad Oliver is purely vanilla. Working hard to rebuild his life after his divorce, he doesn't have time for dating. But he can't help but remember how Caden made him feel.

The two men decide to give it one more chance. But as Oliver delves deeper into the world of BDSM, he is torn between his fear and his feelings for Caden.

Oliver and Caden must give each other everything—mind, body, and soul—if they want to make this work.

The only question is: can they?

Alpha Dom: Caden is the first in a scorchingly hot new mpreg romance series centered around alphas and omegas who love whips and chains. Each couple gets a HEA, but the books are best enjoyed in order.

For those not into the whips and chains genre this one will work fine for you. I was happy that this book is BSDM-lite, there is some D/s play however it never goes beyond that, no torture, pain or humiliation. This one is all about love. Loved it, loved both Caden and Oliver sooo much. This is sweet fluffy Alpha/Omega love at its best!

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the second chance romance between Caden and Oliver. Caden and Oliver were best friends in high school and each secretly loved the other, but Caden dated other guys and Oliver met alpha Tom and eventually married him. When Oliver moved back home years later after divorcing his husband who was abusive, he ran into Caden at a coffee shop. Oliver was now a single father raising his daughter and looking for work. Caden owns a sex club and is into the BDSM lifestyle. Caden also knows Oliver is the one that got away, so when he sees him again, he wants to be with him, only Oliver is strictly vanilla and against the lifestyle. Caden and Oliver both want to be together, so they have to work through their different tastes in the bedroom. I really enjoyed this book and the connection between Caden and Oliver. I like how they were both willing to explore things to make the other comfortable and take things slow. I think they really loved each other and knew they were supposed to be together. Good one.

A new series in the Stelline City world made me grab this one. I thoroughly enjoyed the Treasured Ink series set in the same universe. Caden has pined for Oliver for years. He lost his best friend to another. Oliver has escaped his abusive ex-husband and is starting over with his daughter in Stelline when he bumps into Caden again. The sparks between them haven’t diminished. I liked that Caden didn’t apologize for being who he is and knowing what he needed. Oliver impressed me with how he was willing to talk about what bothered. Caden’s BDSM lifestyle is frightening and overwhelming to him, but he’s willing to learn and communicate. These two come to wonderful compromises as Oliver makes his way out of the abuses of his past. Amy is a nice addition to the story without overtaking it. The ending left me smiling.

This is a quick and entertaining story that I enjoyed reading. It is the first book in a new series that is based in the Stelline City universe. I like the dynamic between Oliver and Caden a lot but I wish there was more time for their relationship to develop. It all felt a bit too rushed to me and there isn't enough interaction between them considering how scared Oliver is of Caden's kinky side. It makes sense that Oliver is so cautious, he is an excellent dad and I love his daughter Amy. Caden has to figure out his priorities before he can jump into a relationship with Oliver. The ending felt very abrupt but I did like it. I look forward to reading the next book in this new series.

This is the start of what seems like another great series by this writing duo. It had romance and emotions, as well as some kink. I loved Oliver and Caden together and thought they were perfect for each other. I felt for Oliver and the pain he'd been through in the past. Anyone who's been through trauma can relate to him and his fear of opening up again. Caden was awesome. I loved how understanding and tender he was with Oliver. I can't forget Amelia/Amy, Oliver's daughter. She was a sweetheart. Overall, this was a good book and I would recommend it.

Caden and Oliver were best friends in high school and they both had feelings for each other but never said anything. Oliver is back in Stelline City with his daughter after leaving his abusive ex-husband.
Caden and Oliver both still have feeling for the other however, Oliver is not sure that he can embrass Cadens BDSM life.
The sparks are flying between the two and once Oliver begins to realize that BDSM isn't abuse they both start to get what they need.
I volunitarily read an advanced vopy of this book.

Oliver is struggling to find his feet and confidence after his divorce. Caden is struggling to find a sub who touches him on an emotional level. It's been years since they saw each other, but their feelings haven't changed. Will Oliver take that chance at a relationship again? Will Caden be able to prove BDSM isn't abuse?

I loved these two. I loved how Oliver continued to push himself past what was comfortable to take a chance. I loved how Caden was patient and willing to work with him instead of just dominating him. Great read!

received this book by the authors and this is my honest opinion.
Caden and Oliver were friends at high school, both having feelings for one another. Oliver moves on, unfortunately to an abusive partner. At the ending of this relationship Oliver returns home with his daughter and bumps into caden. But with the trauma of his past will be be able to accept caden and all he is especially his bdsm kinks.
I enjoyed this book it was a nice second chance love story with Oliver slowly working out his traumas with the help of caden. A good read with good characters
